Hidden Hong Kong Bars to Uncover

"A subterranean food hall beneath the Jardine House tower that feels like the epitome of contemporary Hong Kong dining: sleek food concepts, neon signage, and picture‑perfect branding divide stalls selling steaming dumplings, slurpable noodles, and other modern street eats. The space is bright, design‑forward, and bustling, with a range of quick, trendy options and a back corridor that hides more exclusive experiences beyond the main hall." - Ashley Day

Originally planned to have cold steamed noodles from Twins Liangpi in BaseHall with my colleagues for lunch. However, upon arrival, we discovered that it had closed down and was replaced with this cart nooldes shop, so I decided to give it a try. . I ordered Noodles with 3 Toppings (HKD60). I chose Rice Noodles as the soup base, with Prime Pork Liver, Homemade Pork & Chive Dumplings and Spicy Pig Blood Curd as my toppings, and got Special Chili Sauce for the sauce. Perhaps due to it being their first day of operation, things seemed a bit chaotic, and it appeared that someone mistakenly took away my order, resulting in a significant wait. As a gesture of goodwill, they offered me an extra topping, and I chose Braised Pork Intestine. To be honest, I was slightly disappointed with the food. I recalled that when I visited their Causeway Branch, the toppings were substantial. However, the portion of liver I received that day was small and not as satisfying. The pig blood curd lacked the savory flavor I remembered from previous experiences. The meal was also relatively expensive, but I understand this may be due to their operation in a high-class food court.

The atmosphere is nice but the seats are so heavy. It is tedious to just move the chair to tuck yourself in. The food is also quite nice, upscale, but the prices are not overly insane. The seating is comfortable provided that you find a seat. The lighting is alright although I feel like it could be a little bit brighter. I guess the prices reflect on the salaries for the people who work around the area.

it's a food court that has most of the famous restaurants (brands). it's easy to have different kinds of food at a single place. plenty of seat upon my arrival at 6-ish. then it's to be ordered through their website, then checkout, but get to the counter and grab the food after a while. problem comes - the notification isn't accurate - the app said it's ready, but they didn't have it and kept people (not only me) wait at the counter. they must improve the system. then restaurant got the wrong food, having me to walk back, then check, then stood there and waited for another couple of minutes to remake. well, it's a food court afterall.

upscale foodcourt in central. went to have a light dinner. large selection of japanese / western / chinese & other cuisine is available. loved the quietness during the crazy golden weekend. very well air-conditioned and modern. Liked the food as well. if u cannot decide what to eat, this may be the place to go!

Awesome “food court” with good variety of choices. Can order with QR Code. Variety of seats and sometimes with live music. Good to hangout at a budget at central

New upscale foodcourt opened in Central HK. Visited per Hongkonese foodie friend’s recommendation. Ambiance is very hip & nice. You have big varieties to choose from including chinese , japanese, korean, american & mexican. food quality was good and i liked it since it was quiet and less crowded during the holidays. Definitely recommend this place

The morning glory had a nice spicy kick to it with a nice garlicky and bean paste flavour. It was crispy and crunchy with the perfect balance of savouriness and spiciness where it was too salty or heavy to eat. This dish was definitely my favourite of this meal. Pad Thai was not too sweet which I like, I think it tasted better with peanut and Chili flakes as they help elevate the taste of the dish in general. The shrimp was alright, you won’t be wowed but you won’t say it’s bad either. The fried rice was flavourful and I love all the textures of this dish. The pineapple and pork floss also added nice flavour. The seafood and pineapple flavour were subtle and not very strong but you can still taste it. I know it sounds contradicting but it’s true. As someone who isn’t usually a fan of pineapple fried rice I have to say I was pleasant surprised with this dish and I liked it more than the pad Thai. The milk tea was decent, it didn’t taste too sweet or artificial like many places that also sells thai milk tea. It is also only +$15 add on for such a big cup so I find it a super good deal! The mango sticky rice was standard. I think for the portion and price range, Thai Grill is a good option to go to for basehall. I was quite pleasantly surprised with some of the dishes here. I would say that the fried rice and morning glory are the must orders here, the Thai milk tea and Pad Thai being decent options as well. Also, the staff was super friendly!

A nicer food court concept, come earlier to get seats. There's big demand for workday lunch in Central, and this is a popular place to go. There are some good food options, various known restaurants brought together. Service is basic, order from QR code, pick-up at counter, then worker takes tray after. The setting is laid out so not too cramped, and relatively well kept conditions for the high traffic.
