Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great little bar/table area downstairs to relax in. I was surprised that I could choose a double bed in my female only dorm, that was a nice bonus. Not all beds were doubles though! Hostel is slightly out of town but easy to get to the tram and the Basel Card is fantastic as it gives you free public transport. Toilets are very clean and the showers look clean and also have locks which is great.

Very nice staff and warmly welcomed to the hostel, don't forget to say hi to the very friendly cat! The rooms were of decent size and even some had double bed, though the cleanliness could be a bit better. There is a well equipped kitchen and common areas. Overall it was a nice place to stay. Baselcard also included, which provides free transport and discounts to museums.

Thats a great place to stay for one or 2 nights. It has everything you really need and has an very artistic aesthetic I like. I recommend it when you dont have that much money, but other then that there is the breakfast which was underwgelmingly decent for the price of 8 €. Over all was it a good place to stay and for the over all price, it has very good interior and service🙂‍↕️👌🏻

Super friendly staff and great service, everything is clean, it is very well located, the cat is sooo nice. As a woman, it was nice to book an only girls room (made friends!). It is a 10 minute walk away from the train station, and you can find things to do nearby. BaselCard is included with your stay, with it you get free public transport and some discounts; I recommend going to the zoo and checking out museums. Highly recommend this place.

Stayed a night here in late September to break a journey in half, in what turned out to be a very spacious, airy, clean private room with a retro vibe. Open concept, sliding door separates bathroom area from the rest of the room. Floors were wooden parquet— good for allergy sufferers. Service was warm and friendly. Pleasant mixed crowd, nice vibe. Clean and decent kitchen. Pleasant dining area for breakfast. Great location, walked from the main train station with medium sized luggage. You can also take the tram three stops and then walk about a block from the tram stop. As is the norm in Basel and Geneva (maybe throughout Switzerland?), provides free public transport passes for the duration of stay. Migros and Coop supermarkets are near the tram stop. The nearest tram lines get into or close to the Altstadt, the old city, and the heart of the city. Really lovely to walk on both sides of the river. Just some small issues: the noise— you can hear footsteps and gurgling and other noises from above, and conversations from the courtyard area outside if they are loud. I’m noise sensitive so maybe it won’t bother most people. But people also smoke in the courtyard, so if you have allergies to smoke, you have to close the windows that face the courtyard. Luckily there are also windows on the other side of the room where the bathroom is, although they face the road and that can be a little noisy. Good value for Basel, and a cosy, homely stay. Would stay again.

This was such an amazing place to stay in! It had really cool facilities including a large and well-stocked kitchen, a free washer and dryer, clean and comfortable showers and incredibly spacious, well-equipped rooms. I liked the details such as the bedside tables, the larger beds and the lockers with keys. The entire hostel has such personality and it's very nicely decorated. It was a great experience.

Location is very good, 10 min walk from HB or different bus/tram options. Easy to get to many sites, museums, markets. Very quiet location. Check in begins at 4pm. I booked a single room with shared bath. Room was good size and linens were comfortable. Towels provided but not shampoo or body soaps. Never had a line for bathroom or shower. Washer/dryer to use. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and answered my questions quickly. I would definitely stay here again!

This is such a beautiful hostel! I was really impressed with the rooms and the whole vibe. There were heaps of plants around the dining area and also in the bathroom. It was clean, the breakfast (although not free) was worth the cost. They had a great area outside to sit and chill as well. If I go back to Basel I will stay here as it has multiple hang out spaces, so it would be easy to meet people if you are traveling alone. The staff were lovely as well.
