I visited this place for lunch with my teammates today, and we all had $3 coupons for Roti and Turkish bread. Two of my friends paid in cash and had no issues, but when my other friend and I paid by card, there was a problem.
Before swiping, the staff mentioned that our total would be reduced from $13.90 to $10.90 with the coupon applied. However, after returning from the shop, I noticed an alert from my bank app showing that $14.10 (including tax) had been charged instead. My friend who also paid by card was charged the same amount.
If it had only happened to me, I might have assumed it was a simple mistake, but since it happened to both of us, it felt concerning. I think the shop owner should look into these incidents to ensure customers are charged correctly.
