Basic Hotel Innsbruck

The location is very good, right in the old town, you can walk around every day. It's near the Marktplaz bus stop, making it convenient to take the bus to go sightseeing. The day I arrived at the hotel at 10:00, I was able to check in right away, but I got a room on the 1st floor, on the hotel parking lot side, which made it noisy and smelled of cigarettes all the time. I couldn't open the window, but luckily the hotel had air conditioning. Overall, I was impressed. The front desk staff provided very good service. If you stay at the hotel for 2 nights or more, you also get a welcome card.

Service was great - we checked in early and were able to leave our bags before checkin. Staff was super helpful and attentive. And the location was right in town, we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The room itself was a bit noisy because of the tram outside, but otherwise the facilities and room itself were awesome.

The location of the Basic Apartments was incredible. Located just inside the Old Town, you just step outside the door to the small walking streets that makes Innsbruck so charming. The Golden Roof is right around the corner. The 1 bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of 4. Lots of room for a crib, and the pull out was handy for our daughter.

Overall great place. Super convenient location, nice staff, easy check in, good spaced rooms. We were right outside the tram which was a little loud, but everything else was perfect.

We recently stayed at the hotel in Innsbruck and really appreciated the perfect location—that was the main reason we chose it. The staff were also friendly and helpful throughout our stay.||That said, there were a few areas that could be improved given the price point. Our room had a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom, which let in a lot of light and woke my wife up in the mornings. My parents' room had a solid wall, which worked much better. It’s unclear why the design is different between rooms. Also, the heat pump in our room didn’t seem to stay on at night, so it got uncomfortably warm.||Additionally, when my wife requested a kettle, the one we received—along with the cups—was dirty. Although I was able to exchange it, the replacement kettle didn’t work either.||Given the price we paid, I was a bit disappointed by the limited amenities offered, even though the name does mention "basic." Innsbruck was definitely the most challenging place on our trip to find a hotel that offered both good value and a reasonable price.

Great location in the heart of Innsbruck, with parking for smaller cars. Rooms are clean but basic.

This place is basic by name only, fantastic location, friendly staff and the rooms were awesome, better than the Hilton we stayed at in Germany. Would 100% recommend.!!

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our family during our vacation in Innsbruck, and it was a fantastic experience! The room was spacious, and our kids absolutely loved it, especially the balcony. The view from the balcony was breathtaking – perfect for relaxing with a drink and taking in the beautiful mountain scenery. When we arrived early, we tried our luck with an early check-in, and the receptionist was not only friendly but also accommodating. She kindly allowed us to check in early since our room was ready, and we were also given the Innsbruck Welcome Card, which was a lovely bonus for our stay. The hotel lift was a bit small (just enough for 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 medium-sized bags), but it wasn’t a major issue. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and had two double beds. It was very comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The indoor balcony with stunning mountain views made the room even more special. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, though the selection wasn’t extensive, but we had no complaints. The staff truly made our stay memorable – they were always friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. One staff member even noticed that we were standing on the wrong side of the bus stop and rushed out to point us in the right direction. It was these little touches that made us feel well cared for. Overall, this hotel provided a basic yet extremely enjoyable experience. It’s perfect for families, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Innsbruck. We’ll definitely keep this hotel in mind for future trips!

Really nice for the price. I stayed for 4 nights in a single room and was presently surprised when I opened the door to my room for the first time, I had an amazing view of the alps from a private balcony! The WiFi was good during the whole trip and the hotel is located very close to the center (2-3 minutes walking) and right outside is also a major bus/tram station. The place was comfortable and the people working there were very friendly and helpful. If I would go back to Innsbruck I would for sure consider this hotel again.

Warning! Do not book the Basic Hotel in Innsbruck in Corona time! The cancellation rules are strictly applied without any kind of leniency, if you are confronted with a cancellation of your flight at the last minute. 1) not any compensation of a part of the booking fee 2) no vouchers offered 3) not even moving the dates to an off season period for them. Extremely rigid and client unfriendly.

I was a little worried, traveling on a budget, that "Basic" in the name would mean spartan, barebones lodging. I couldn't have been more wrong. The hotel was very nice, comfortable and clean, a great value, and as another reviewer posted, the view from the rooms on the back of the hotel is spectacular. Great location too--very close to the Alt Stadt. Breakfast was also excellent -- buffet with nice breads, meats, eggs, smoked fish, fresh vegetables, wonderful coffees, and a kind and friendly staff. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit!

Definately a fan. Great hotel, clean, nice and helpful staff, perfect location. The rooms are definately basic, but that's okay, we didn't spend a lot of time there anyways. It was very clean and roomy for the 4 of us. No noise issues. We had a great view of the mountains. Don't let the opaque bathroom doors scare you, you really do have privacy. The location is great, walking distance to shops and hotels. Across the street from the bus/trolley station. The distance from the train station is walkable, but a cab would be better if the weather isn't good. Highly recommend. Great hotel and a great price.
