Basic Hotel Innsbruck

Excellent location near the old|Town centre and Christmas markets right near the door. Our room had a beautiful view to the mountains in the north. Brilliant concierge with good recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Would stay here again. Just wish the room had a mini fridge but other than that it was clean tidy and great location

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our family during our vacation in Innsbruck, and it was a fantastic experience! The room was spacious, and our kids absolutely loved it, especially the balcony. The view from the balcony was breathtaking – perfect for relaxing with a drink and taking in the beautiful mountain scenery. When we arrived early, we tried our luck with an early check-in, and the receptionist was not only friendly but also accommodating. She kindly allowed us to check in early since our room was ready, and we were also given the Innsbruck Welcome Card, which was a lovely bonus for our stay. The hotel lift was a bit small (just enough for 2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 medium-sized bags), but it wasn’t a major issue. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and had two double beds. It was very comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The indoor balcony with stunning mountain views made the room even more special. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, though the selection wasn’t extensive, but we had no complaints. The staff truly made our stay memorable – they were always friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. One staff member even noticed that we were standing on the wrong side of the bus stop and rushed out to point us in the right direction. It was these little touches that made us feel well cared for. Overall, this hotel provided a basic yet extremely enjoyable experience. It’s perfect for families, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Innsbruck. We’ll definitely keep this hotel in mind for future trips!

So glad we booked this hotel for our stay. It was great to be centrally located which made it easy to get places (and to go for a run along the river). The rooms were way larger than I expected which was a nice treat. And, despite having a street facing room, I found the premises and the room quiet was great. I have saved the best for last - the staff. We found all the staff (front desk and restaurant) very very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to chat with them.

Travel to Innsbruck town with families last week and booked this hotel for 2 nights. Arrived early so try our luck for early check in. Receptionist was nice and pretty, she let us check in early since our room was ready. They even provide us the Innsbruck Welcome Card since we spend 2 nights here. Hotel lift was quite small, just fit 4 persons (2 adults and 2 kids, along with 2 medium size luggage). Our room is on 3rd floor. Room got two double beds and an indoor balcony with stunning view of the mountains. Balcony got a small round table which perfect for drinking and enjoying the beautiful mountains view. Very comfortable room with all the facilities available. Kids love the room very much. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided, not many choices but its fresh and delicious. Hotel's staff was very kind and help us order what we wanted. When we heading to town, their staff even remind us to take umbrella because the weather is getting dark. Hotel's staff is so careful observation, she notices us stand at wrong side of bus stop, rush out and inform us about it. We really love this Basic Hotel very much. Very Basic and much love. Really recommend this hotel.

We visited Innsbruck in Dec and stayed in the very conveniently located and clean apartment. Would stay here again and can recommend. The apartment sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. The pull out couch is about the size of a full bed (maybe smaller) so would be a tight fit for two larger adults.

Traveled from Australia so discovering our room had an enclosed balcony and beautiful view of snow capped mountains was more than we could have hoped for. The room was also roomy and comfortable and staff friendly and helpful. The location was right near the Christmas Markets, tram stop and close to the old town and cable car. Loved our stay here.

Situated in the heart of Innsbruck this hotel is very conveniently situated a mere five minutes walk from the iconic old town which is a UNESCO world heritage site. Ideal if you are visiting the wonderful Christmas markets (which we were). As for the hotel...the clues in the name. It is basic but it is comfotable and convenient - that's all you need really

I really loved this place, it has a great view, the staff has been really wonderful, helping us with all queries. The breakfast was decent not a massive spread but a good spread. It's close to the old city, and mostly everything is at a walkable distance. Great place, great stay

Really nice for the price. I stayed for 4 nights in a single room and was presently surprised when I opened the door to my room for the first time, I had an amazing view of the alps from a private balcony! The WiFi was good during the whole trip and the hotel is located very close to the center (2-3 minutes walking) and right outside is also a major bus/tram station. The place was comfortable and the people working there were very friendly and helpful. If I would go back to Innsbruck I would for sure consider this hotel again.

Warning! Do not book the Basic Hotel in Innsbruck in Corona time! The cancellation rules are strictly applied without any kind of leniency, if you are confronted with a cancellation of your flight at the last minute. 1) not any compensation of a part of the booking fee 2) no vouchers offered 3) not even moving the dates to an off season period for them. Extremely rigid and client unfriendly.

I was a little worried, traveling on a budget, that "Basic" in the name would mean spartan, barebones lodging. I couldn't have been more wrong. The hotel was very nice, comfortable and clean, a great value, and as another reviewer posted, the view from the rooms on the back of the hotel is spectacular. Great location too--very close to the Alt Stadt. Breakfast was also excellent -- buffet with nice breads, meats, eggs, smoked fish, fresh vegetables, wonderful coffees, and a kind and friendly staff. I will definitely stay there again on my next visit!

Definately a fan. Great hotel, clean, nice and helpful staff, perfect location. The rooms are definately basic, but that's okay, we didn't spend a lot of time there anyways. It was very clean and roomy for the 4 of us. No noise issues. We had a great view of the mountains. Don't let the opaque bathroom doors scare you, you really do have privacy. The location is great, walking distance to shops and hotels. Across the street from the bus/trolley station. The distance from the train station is walkable, but a cab would be better if the weather isn't good. Highly recommend. Great hotel and a great price.
