Very nice inviting atmosphere. Staff was extremely nice and accommodating. But the true star was the food and drinks. Everything was very good from our cocktails to our small plates and pizzas. Will absolutely go back and explore more on their menu!

This is hands-down my favorite restaurant. As someone with celiac disease, eating out can be stressful, but the team here goes above and beyond to make me feel safe and cared for. They are incredibly thoughtful about preparation, and it’s clear they take every step to avoid cross-contamination. I’ve never once had a reaction after dining here, which says so much about their dedication and attention to detail. On top of that, the service is always lovely—friendly, welcoming, and genuine. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable the moment you walk in, and you can tell they truly care about their guests. The combination of delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing my dietary needs are respected makes this restaurant such a gem. I can’t recommend it enough, especially for anyone with celiac disease looking for a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

Walk into this converted fire hall and be in awe! Comfortable and well spaced under 10,000 feet of high ceilings... Basil's staff and incredible menu will have you feeling like royalty. From coffee flight creations to the best steak I've had in years... to the dynamic tasting wood fired pizza creations and truffle fries... you'll be blown away. Awesome doesn't begin to cover all this. We made two trips here in less than 24 hours.

My husband and I had a date night here and from start to finish we were so pleased with the drinks, food, service, atmosphere and dessert. I don’t know why the other reviews complain about portion size because the calamari appetizer was more than enough to share between us and each of our meals filled a large plate up. I got the wood fired pork ribeye and it was amazing. So much flavor and so tender. My husband got the sirloin and it was melt in your mouth. I got the toasted coconut margarita … twice because it was so yummy. And for dessert we got the brownie which was also delicious. We even got a prime rib pizza to go!!! Which we later ate and it tasted great! We will definitely return and support!

1st time here. we country folks so needed help with the fancy words the waitress was amazing but the food was even better SOOO much more then a pizza joint. Will definitely be back with friends next time.

Went with a large group (15 people) and they accommodated us all with ease! They had a variety of fun cocktails and appetizers. Not your average dinner spot in central PA. Plenty of unique but delicious dinner options. Service and food were both great!

Very nice first experience dinning here. Our server Logan was so friendly and professional, really appreciated her taking time and chatting with us about the food and recommending the ricotta and honey dip with focaccia bread, such a delicious appetizer. The pork chop was tender and juicy and was matched nicely with the sides and glaze. The branzino fish was the catch of the week paired with greak couscous and the flavors went together nicely. All the plates presentation looked fantastic and wellthought out. Would definitely recommend for a nice date night or celebration restaurant. We will definitely be back soon to try the wood fired pizza.

We were looking for a new place to enjoy brunch and our local facebook pag highly recommended this restaurant. I'm very thankful we followed the recommendation because we have never have found this location other wise since it's tucked into a side road. This location takes reservations which was a big win for us and had a wide variety options for the brunch menu. You can get the coffee flight spiked and our meals were fantastic. Classy location, amazing good and stellar service. We will be back again to try more!

We've been here a few times now and I recommend a reservation! The staff are nice and accommodating. The food arrives quickly and at the right temp. We've had their pizza more than once- very good option. I liked the chicken dish but would have liked some fresh arugula with it to take it to the next level. The drinks are interesting- I haven't found my drink of choice yet but the menu changes a lot.

Waited an hour for food....place not busy Pizza en blanc was the worst I have ever eaten. No mozzarella (as stated) basically Parmesan sprinkled on a dry crust ...awful

Just discovered this wonderful restaurant. Former firehouse looks like an industrial building on the outside but go inside and WOW - it's been transformed into a beautiful restaurant. Whoever did the design did a spectacular job. But looks aren't everything -- our food was also terrific. We shared Caesar salad and a mushroom pizza and tiramisu. All were perfect! We can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!Oh ..... and our server was gracious, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. So glad we found this place! Went last Saturday night and was so impressed with the ambiance, friendly service and the excellent food. We had an array of beverages from the bar that were quite exceptional. I adored the smokey old fashioned!!!! We shared the seafood dip and French onion soup, then went for the wood fired pizza and a pasta dish, all were delightful. Definitely recommend this wonderful place!!!

Delicious. Had the coconut shrimp and they were crispy with a tasty glaze. A little overcooked. Both pizza were really good. Kind of disappointed towards the end. both of us were on a small table with two pizzas. The waiters didn't offer to help us with the leftovers. She brought the dessert (key lime) and we had two half pizzas left still on the table. We had to put the pizzas trays on a nearby table to make room for the dessert and then box the leftovers ourselves.

Everything was spectacular! Brunch was great!! Mimosa were delicious!! Beautiful ambiance, and our family had a wonderful time!!

Recently visited for Sunday brunch with the family. We loved the atmosphere inside with a modern rustic vibe. We ordered the loaded tots and crab dip to start. Both were very rich and delicious. The portion of my shrimp and grits lasted me for breakfast the following morning - and really savory gravy on top. Overall, we all loved our food and felt it was great for the price point. I will say, lots of home style heavy dishes. Be prepared to be full for hours!

Our server was great, perfectly attentive. The space was open and it was cool to see the pizza oven! Appetizer: whipped ricotta + focaccia - I wish the pistachios were chopped and mixed into the ricotta. Entrees: rib eye + pork chop - both perfectly cooked, the succotash needs to be a menu staple!!! Dessert: cannoli cheesecake - way too much orange, didn't end up tasting like cannoli. Can't wait to return!

We were driving up to New York and looking for a place for lunch. Saw the reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. BLUF: Awesome. Great staff. Nice atmosphere. The food was great and everything coming out of the kitchen looked yummy. We had a margarita pizza, wings, strawberry salad, and truffle fries. I loved it all but the truffle fries were a pleasant surprise. Crispy and flavorful. The sauce complimented them perfectly.

The service was great and the food was even better! The seared scallops and the bolognese were amazing. 10/10!

Really impressed with Basil's menu, service, and most importantly - the food! It's different than most restaurants we've had in central PA but it brings an exciting dining out option with charcuterie boards, multiple options for seafood plates, pasta, and wood fired pizza. This is only with it partially open and offering a limited menu. Also have really good mojitos and beer selection. I'll be back and I highly recommend it to everyone looking for a meal out. Owners clearly have a good vision and are executing on it.

My wife and I went to Basil last night, I've been 2 other times and wanted to give it another shot before commenting or reviewing. The atmosphere at Basil is very nice, they've put a lot of money into the vibe. The bar area is also very nice, as is their market store. I had a cigar old fashioned which I really enjoyed. The experience of the drink with the smoke, as well as the taste was great. Affordable as well. $9.00. In New York City that same drink (without the smoke) is $22.00. While waiting to order and waiting on our salads. I would suggest bringing our some kind of fresh hot bread with peppers and oil, or butter. That would be a nice addition, but that is not offered. Salads don't come with the meals, that's a separate charge. I had a Caesar salad and my wife ordered a house salad. Our server brought us both Caesar salads by mistake. We kept the mistaken salad. They were very tasty, and I enjoyed the baked Parmesan cheese crisp. The Caesar dressing was good, and not overpowering. I ordered a filet, and I get steaks all over the country. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd say my steak was about a 6. Average to slightly above average in taste, but cooked perfectly medium as requested and very tender. The fingerling potatoes were ok, i would have liked to see other potato offerings such as baked, whipped, or au gratin. There was one choice for vegetable which was broccolini (which I'm not a fan of) , so I gave it to my wife. She said the flavor was good, but they were cold. I would have liked to see more offerings here as well, such as asparagus or string beans etc. My wife ordered rigatoni, and it came out extremely hot. It was a bit over cooked and could have used some more sauce, but a pretty good flavor. It did not come with any sides, but with 3 small triangle shaped focaccia bread pieces with no dipping sauce. I would suggest bringing those out with a side of dipping marinara sauce. The focaccia was not hot and fresh, and a bit over cooked and tough. For dessert, we split a crème brûlée. The top was nice and crunchy but the pudding was a bit watery, not firm. The flavor was pretty good. From the server aspect, I would really like the servers to know the menu better, and make recommendations. They should also know what market price is, and what they are out of. Our server was friendly, the service a bit slow. I like this place and will be back. It's fairly new and I'm sure they are learning as they go but all in all do a pretty nice job. In my humble opinion as a guest and not a restaurateur, a few little tweaks could really make the overall experience much more enjoyable. I felt like Basil is leaning towards going after a more high end experience, and they do a pretty nice job.

A nice new spot in Muncy. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant space is very nice. Staff was friendly and service was good. I really liked the pepper relish vinaigrette they used on the Brussel sprouts. I had the breakfast pizza as my entree which was pretty good. The menu could be a little better at describing things -- the Hollandaise was hardly a "drizzle" and there was no mention that there was a runny egg atop it. My pizza was a steal but some of the other things seemed a bit overpriced, the Caesar salad at $9 was a bit measly. Overall though, definitely a place that is worth a visit.

Overall a cute restaurant with a lot of parking. I am not giving five stars because we were sat next to the pizza maker station (not a big deal) and we overheard the owner as he was making my moms pizza say "huh a pizza with just sauce wonder how that's going to cook up" and it was just an oddly unprofessional statement to be making little did he know we were sitting right there like people have different dietary preferences as an owner of a restaurant you should realize this. Not to mention being this close to the pizza maker station we heard a lot of their loud conversation and it was just an odd place to sit when the staff would occasionally yell. Otherwise the food was delicious and the restaurant is good and has good prices.

Food was amazing. Staff were friendly and timely. Drinks are very pricey though and mix drinks were made very strong.

Basil has the best woodfired pizza I have ever had. The sauce and cheese have flavors that can't be experienced anywhere else in the area. The crust is always done perfectly. A good crust should have no flop yet not be burnt, and somehow, they pull it off. The pizza is a 9.5 out of 10.

I had the mushroom pappardelle and fried Brussels sprouts which were both great. My friend ordered the pork roulade and the coconut encrusted shrimp which she said was great. We also ordered the focaccia which was delicious and had a smoky flavor. Will definitely go back.

We love most everything about Basilwood, especially the unique menu items and ambiance. A repeat Sunday brunch visit was quite disappointing. There were many open tables on the bar side and maybe eight on the opposite side. We asked for a table on the bar side and the hostess looked back that way and said it would be a few minutes. We waited on a nearby sofa and then she seated us on the opposite side, not sure why our request was not honored, she gave no explanation. Our waitress seemed annoyed from the start. We placed our order and honestly waited longer than usual for such simple items, at least half an hour in a not busy time (maybe the kitchen staff was minimal, but the waitress could have said "sorry for the wait." My scrambled eggs were not even warm and an odd bright yellow color, and the English muffin I ordered was barely toasted. The bacon was perfect and other than looking like a scaled down breakfast plate in terms of portion, it was just an ordinary breakfast I could have prepared at home. Please note, we did not complain or grumble about anything and were very diligent in being friendly and smiling and did not punish her with a small tip. On departure, we missed the usual "have a great day, thanks for coming in, etc." and we realize that anyone can have a bad day, but the point of customer service is to not pass that sentiment on to your customers. We will visit again, but if the same experience happens, we will find a happier place.

Went there last night for the first time. Food selection lacking, but what we had was good. Service was so-so...would prefer a bit more attentive for 20% tip. Bill was absolutely outrageous!!!! Won't come back much.

Had a reservation and when hostess seated us, we were by the door and my wife asked to be seated further away from door due to the weather. There were three other tables occupied and approximately 15-20 open tables. Hostess said she could not and said we would have to speak with manager. Manager said all the tables were "spoken for" and that if we would wait another 5-10 minutes he would see if he could help us. Remember, there were only three other couples in the entire restaurant...um? The wife said never mind and we said near the door but not happy with lack of customer service given the number of open tables. Wife had oysters and then a fish dish and thought both were very good. I, on the other hand, had onion soup and a pizza. Onion soup was ok even though the slices of cheese on top was not melted but just floating in the soup. Now pizza...even bad pizza is still pretty good but this pizza was very dry and the toppings were all in the middle with nothing 1/3rd of the way to the edges...I know my review of the pizza is a bit picky but given the prices, I expect better. I would give Basil a 2.5 given the above reasons...

Been here a few times and had great experience every time! Awesome selection of food and drinks. Always happy with the food we've gotten and really appreciate the rotating specials so you can always try something new. Different from anything in the area, so it is a nice addition!

We just had Basil cater my daughter's wedding. They knocked it out of the park! Everything was perfect. The appetizers, the salad, the entrees and the table service was absolutely perfect. Totally awesome!

Very nice new restaurant in the Williamsport area-- food was delicious & the restaurant is finished nice. We had truffle fries and flat iron steaks. Cocktails, dinner, dessert and service were all amazing. My only complaint is you can't open the bathroom door with your foot (covid and all....). But everything else was excellent. Will be coming back.

We have been to Basil three times now and each time we are hoping for more. First off I will say that the food is good. Today, we went for Sunday brunch and we ordered our drinks. I ordered a coffee, which was French pressed, it was cold. I told the bartender and she offered to make it again once they had more hot water. I guess the water never got hot again....If you're unable to execute a fancier coffee, stick to a coffee pot. It should be hot We also ordered beermosas which is part blue moon beer, orange juice and topped with champagne, these were very good. As we put our drink orders in we also ordered the whipped feta cheese with pepper relish. After receiving all our drinks we put in our orders for a pizza and their plant based bowl. After waiting close to an hour for food we received our appetizer and main meals all at once. The food came out and it was very good with no complaints other than it took a very long time to get, mind you that the restaurant wasn't even half full. When we received out bill we were happy to see that our cold coffee wasn't on the bill, although we were astonished by the price of the beermosas. We were charged for a full blue moon $8 (glass was half full of it) and then another $6 for a little orange juice and champagne. All in all the food is good if you're willing to wait to get it. However, the drinks are drastically overpriced, no common domestic beer should be $8 a glass.
