We booked the 5:00pm English tour (about 45 min) through the monastery & museum. The frescoes are stunning and the museum small but with beautiful exhibits. Incredible library and song books. Our guide was easy to understand and gave us great information on the contents of the museum. Not one second of time wasted. So glad we booked the tour, it was well worth the small fee. What would make this a 5* experience for sure is if we could have taken photos. The frescoes and artifacts are stunning but hard to hold in our memories without photos. Photos are allowed in the cloister only.

Disappointed because you aren't allowed to take any pictures inside for some reason. Not a church really, it's more of a museum with some interesting items, but few stand out. The description of what the called the Holy Grail has been changed to the cup of Dona Urraca The best part was the mausoleum of the Kings of León

Absolutely stunning cathedral with an interesting history. It's not expensive, but when you scan the QR code, you can listen to its history from your phone as you walk around it, which is an excellent idea! You can not fail to miss the basilica as it is situated in the middle of Leon, surrounded by a plaza with cafes and shops. The basilica was wonderfully cool inside, which is welcome in 35°C heat.

Am starting to feel Spanish after many Spanish masses and benedictions. Beautiful church, with kind priests. We were able to receive a pilgrim's blessing and some song after mass had ended. Thank you!

Visited the outside of the Basilicia de San Isidoro, which was illuminated at night. What a site! When time permits, will return to visit the inside.

Beautiful, more than 1000 years old church in unbelievably good condition. It has seat-heating as well, so you can enjoy it comfortably even during the chilly Leon winters.

Although it has to play second fiddle to the Cathedral it is a beautiful church in it's own right. Situated in an exquisite square on the Camino route out of Leon it is well worth a visit.
