The cathedral of the Franciscan Order, built in the late 13th century, is located alongside one of the oldest monasteries in Palma. Originally constructed in the Gothic style, its façade was rebuilt in the late 17th century in the Baroque style. At the entrance stands a sculpture of Saint Francis. Inside, the preserved tombs of monks and various artworks add to its historical significance. The church houses the tomb of Ramon Llull, a renowned Mallorcan theologian, who studied religion and philosophy in Latin, Arabic, and Catalan. Adjacent to the church, the monastery features a tranquil cloister and garden, offering a peaceful retreat.
