The architecture is magnificent, and it's truly a great sight to behold. Every corner you turn reveals something new and impressive. I could have spent all day just wandering around, taking it all in. It's definitely worth the visit if you appreciate stunning buildings.

A nice neo-gothic cathedral from the late 19th century. It’s not as “authentic” as the European ones from the 12th century, but still pretty neat. Be aware that there are two different type of tickets. One for the inside of the cathedral which you buy at the side doors, and one for access to climb the towers, which is bought in a little ticket office outside the cathedral. Fantastic view of the city from the top of the cathedral.

Pretty inexpensive tourist stop and has great views of the city. The inside is also grand, but the tower and touring the inside are separate fees, which is fine, but I'd just do the tower climb overall since you do get to see the inside of the church as well. The views at the very top once you pass through the clock tower were great as well.

This is the best place to see. A different cathedral from historical churches with a different architecture. I spent hours on the towers, so make sure you buy ticket for the tower. Plus, with the tower tour, you will be able to see the beautiful mosaic of this church.

Beautiful basilica with a cheap entrance fee so that you can explore the tops of the church towers. The most interesting part of the basilica is the buttresses where instead of gargoyles, there are carvings of all the famous animals in Ecuador.

Amazingly beautiful basilica! Sort of a strange layout where on floors 10-13 has shops and cafes which do provide beautiful views but is odd in a historic building. Quite a climb and towards the top is not meant for people with mobility issues, feels a bit unsafe even for younger people honestly. Cannot beat the views of the city and the church is still very beautiful and ornate.

Pretty cool architecture and design. We climbed all the way up the tours for a nice view of the city. The stairs on the far lone tower are very stepp and intimidating but worth it.

Medium walk distance from downtown. They do charge for everything, including the entrance. To go to the towers you get to climb a lot of stairs.
