Caacupe Cathedral

I recommend to visit the church and go to the top of it, you can go there for less than a dollar and visit the roof, amazing view, also around it there is so much to see and take pictures, you will love and this is a very paraguyan thing to do and visit

If you are planing to come here just to pray and take pictures of this magnificent cathedral I recommend you during weekdays when is quiet ,but if you want to come to take pictures walk maybe eat something and buy some souvenirs is better during the weekend,early morning around 9am

Stunning cathedral outside of Asuncion. Stunning architecture and stain glass. Worth a visit if you nearby while visiting Paraguay.

Always good to visit. Very clean and organized. Workers are also very helpful. Handicapped has always preference.

Caacupé is just a small town but the basilica makes it really worth to visit. Beside that you have to know that on December 8 a high festival is placed there, where almost all Paraguayen came to Caacupe between the the first days of December until mid of December. Many people plan to visit the capital Asuncion and the waterfalls of Iguazú, for that you can stop for a moment in Caacupe as it is next to the highway 2 (Ruta 2) located and only 55 km from the capital away. If you want to stay in Caacupe there are 2 hotels to mention, one is just behind the basilica called hotel Asuncion and the other one is about 500 meters from the city away, so when you leave Caacupe on the right hand side you find hotel Alta Grazia if you are looking for more comfort.

The magnificence of the building, the vitreous art, the murals explaining the vision of the indian and his wooden art. The sightseeing at the top of the cathedral is mesmerazing.

Very peaceful, I prayed for my family and asked the Virgin for blessings and favors.
