The basilica as unique as nothing in this city! Truly felt the medieval if not ancient atmosphere here! It left me astonished!!! Especially during Christmas!

The dark, contemplative interior, with its ancient crypt and valuable treasury, offers a powerful glimpse into the city's deep religious and cultural heritage. The Basilica of Our Lady in Maastricht is one of those places that quietly stays with you. Stepping through its heavy Romanesque doors, I felt like I had entered a sanctuary carved out of time itself. After many years we finally visited this Maastricht landmark and it is beautiful in- and outside.

Absolutely stunning. A good audio tour. It is worth the extra ticket price to see the treasury room. Some stunning relics and breathtaking architecture. The collection includes some beautiful examples of mideval embroidered religious garments..

The Basilica of our Lady is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. It’s one of the oldest churches in the Netherlands and has amazing architecture. The inside is quiet and full of history, with high ceilings, colorful windows, and old religious items.

It is old, and quite sombre, and impressively imposing. I rather liked that their fundraising requests for the roof have a suggested starting donation of €1. There is an inside exhibition called the Treasury. It won't knock you out but it is worth the modest €5 charge. This visit is a bit of authentic Maastricht history.
