Get a ticket and a guided visit! The history is very interesting, details and information very well presented. You can also access the bell tower and enjoy the city views. You need at least 45 minutes to complete the full visit and spare some time at the top of the bell tower… no rush.

Ticket: €6 An excellent basilica to visit! Be sure to take the stairs up to see the bells and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city — a truly memorable experience.

Really beautiful building, the architecture is incredible & you can climb up into the Bell Tower. I didn't use it but they give you a little walkie talkie type thing that talks you through the buildings, the statues and the history of the place etc. Well worth a visit, you get some awesome views on the Castle from the Bell Tower too. Highly recommend 👌

A beautiful basilica in a nice square, the architecture inside is stunning, once inside it was very peaceful and tranquil with a service being undertaken. It has many religious artifacts inside that are worth viewing. A nice place to visit and would highly recommend a visit if in the area.

6€ entrance in 2025. Beautiful interior but I didn’t find it worth the price. Spare yourself the hike up the stairs, you can’t see anything except people’s balconies from the bell tower.

Well worth a visit if in Alicante. 5€ for students/over 60s, this includes an audio tour. The Basilica is quie an amazing Gothic church, as always, steeped in history. We love these buildings because of the incredible architecture, but, from a religious angle - it really is quite splendid. Ornate doesn't quite describe it adequately !!! My goodness, there's a lot of sparkle !!! Designed, according to the audio, to impress the believers. Don't miss going up to the bells tower - particularly good if up there when the bells ring - fabulous sights of the castle. Lovely, English speaking reception staff. (No toilets on site).

I had a wonderful experience visiting the Basilica of Santa Maria in Alicante, Spain. The architecture is absolutely stunning – a beautiful example of Gothic style with baroque touches. As soon as you step inside, you can feel the peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. The details in the altar and the artwork throughout the church are impressive and full of history. It’s a perfect place to take a quiet break from the busy city and reflect for a moment. I also appreciated how well-preserved the building is, and the staff was kind and respectful. Whether you're interested in history, architecture, or simply want to admire something beautiful, this basilica is definitely worth a visit.

It's 6 euros to enter. I entered while a short service was taking place. It was wonderful. The church is very old, the pictures taken give you an idea of the inside. It's beautiful in different ways. I like the feel of this church. Suitable for all people. It's very golden and the organ is impressive as the pipes appear from the height of the ceiling. There is more than one area so keep looking and you will find different styles of interest.
