Basilica Pizzería Café

Stopped here by chance for breakfast and found a good range of options, including egg dishes, a panini, and a fruit bowl made with the fruit of the day. The server was lovely and very helpful, switching to English when needed while we practiced our Spanish. Beautiful seating in a pretty little square makes it a nice place to sit. My partner had a fresh strawberry smoothie and a mozzarella omelette - tasty, but quite small for the price. I had a black coffee and the daily fruit bowl, which was very fresh and great value. Overall a good experience. Slightly more expensive due to the location, but friendly service, fresh food, clean bathroom, and a lovely setting. Probably better suited as a lunch spot, as it’s mainly a pizzeria.

Pizza is ok, worth the price. The noce thing about this place is to seat at the small plaza outside, the vibes are good and there is often live music and street performers.

The restaurant has gorgeous outdoor seating and the waiters are super nice, the food was a bit of a letdown though.

Not the typical wood fired Italian pizza but nonetheless tasty and a nice place to have dinner. Try to pick the local options have pizza with bocadillo for a twist. Staff were very pleasant and we had buskers around as well plying their craft.

Pizza is so good here. Crust is thin and the flavors are delicious. There’s live music and performances. Our waiter was super nice…loved it!

Great pizzas and salad for lunch. Guy with his guitar makes for a great atmosphere too. Whilst there are a lot of street vendors trying to sell you stuff, you are generally left alone whilst eating and it's not as persistent as some places in Getsermani.

It seems like a nice place; however, my experience was far from pleasant. I ordered the Dolce Vita dessert (COP $25,000), but they forgot my order even though the place wasn’t crowded. After waiting for half an hour, I called them to cancel it, but they ignored me and eventually brought out a thick, hard oblea with melted ice cream. It was supposed to be covered with Nutella, but they used a different chocolate cream instead. To top it off, it took them another 10 minutes to bring me the check, and by the time I left, I had about ten mosquito bites. The bottle of water costed COP $7000.

One word ... WOW!! The best pizza and Italian cuisine in Cartagena! Service was outstanding, ingredients were fresh, restaurant was clean and the bathrooms are normal size with almost all of the comforts from home. The best part was the view. Great for people watching. Our waiter was warm and friendly and I would highly recommended this eatery if your ever in Cartagena!
