This is a very chill bar room at the pentagon city Whole Foods. They have some great local craft beer. The great divide imperial stout is amazing! Ramble on is very good too.

Lots of TVs. Smells like food. Bartenders were nice. Would come back if ever in the area again.

Haven't seen my dad in years. Who would have thought he'd serve me my first beer and a slice of his leftover pizza. Great selection.

Google
Outstanding bar. Great rotating drafts, stools that you can sit on, and the ambiance of a grocery store surrounding you. If you choose to shop, it is highly recommended that you spend 3-4 hours at this bar first so that you can ignore all of the paleo/gluten free/crossfit vibes that resonate. Fairly magical when paired with the top notch buffet adjacent to the bar. Anyone interested in grocery shopping loosely should investigate the possibilities of this bar. I may be wrong, but it is possible to order drinks and imbibe while you shop. Beware: you can’t leave the bar without passing the mochi case.

Not a real happy hour. $1 off drinks 4-6pm and we asked for the check at 6:30, which somehow meant we didn't get hh prices. Selection isn't bad but not worth it compared to other happy hours around Pentagon/Crystal city.

Bouncer was rude and smelled like grass. Old lady at the bar read my palm. I think this shrimp was supposed to be cooked. Excellent beer selection and kind bartenders.

Yelp
Wow! Who knew that you could do your grocery shopping and have brunch with wine/beer/cocktails? I had a slice of vegan pizza with vegan meatballs. The Date had curried pumpkin soup. We both had salads and sesame noodles with Tofu and a glass of cab sauv. We enjoyed the food and the wine plus the convenience. A big plus was the super-hospitable bartender, Brittney who kept everyone smiling and made us feel at home! We'll be back!

Yelp
Good idea but poor execution. Like much else with this WFM, the Basin Bar has has gone downhill the past year or so. They still have a great range of craft beer on tap at excellent prices. However, service is lackadaisical at best. The food menu is limited. And, it often takes a long time for an order to arrive despite there being nothing complicated. Why should a hot dog take more than 20 minutes? More than 30 minutes for tater tots and cheese? Although, the tater tots do come as an enormous portion.

Yelp
Halfway between the doubletree and the pentagon city mall. Service was truly awful. Cheap prices, good selection. Full bar. Totally weird, not in a bad way. You can buy anything in the store and sit there and eat it. Wings, check. BBQ, check. Potato chips, check. Chinese noodles, olive bar, salads--you get the idea. Also some food can be ordered at the bar--burgers, hit dogs, tacos and fries. But bartenders had their local favorites and ignored everyone else. Last call at 930.

Yelp
I had no idea but I absolutely love the idea of this place being inside Whole Foods! It really changes the vibe! I came in on a Thursday night after taking a class at pure barre! My friend stated we could grab a glass of wine and catch up. The bar was pretty busy and jamming to old school R&B. (my kinda place) the bartender was super nice and told us how it all works. You can order form the special menu or you can grab pizza from the hot bar and take care of it all at the bar. Who doesn't work out and then crave pizza?!?! Me!! So we opted for the pepperoni pizza and a cocktail. I went for the ruby sparkler and it did the trick! This would be a super cute and inexpensive first day if you are planning.... lol I have now added them to my fav Arlington chill spot for afterwork!

Yelp
I hate Whole Foods....a lot. BUT! This bar is dope. It can be a little slow because it's a good bit more popular than it was probably intended to be. Dollar per ounce you're paying practically half of what Galaxy Hutt charges and the beer selection is easily on par with the glory days of GH. They do a good job at picking out the good stuff from the slew of new breweries around VA and it's typically well balanced. At a min they seem keep a few different types/styles of stout, reliable IPAs, at least 1 sour, and a handful of crowd pleasers. Typically at least one 'special' beer like a limited release barley or something. Definitely bring a growler NO WHERE else has better growler value. $8 Old Fashions is a nice touch as well!!!

Yelp
Have been here 4-5 times. Service isn't great, and hours are a little off. Went at 8:35pm on a Saturday and they said they aren't serving anymore. I recommend going early if you want to drink. The drinks themselves were ok.

Yelp
A hot mess. Appetizer took 40 minutes to get and the staff couldn't care less about guests.

Yelp
Well worth a trip even if you don't live in Pentagon City. Really convenient location only 2 blocks east of the Pentagon City metro. The grilled rockfish and sides (vegetables/fries) were delicious. The oyster, salmon & lobster roll options were also great.

Yelp
Good happy hour prices and beer selection. But the bartenders act like they've never made a cocktail and generally don't care.

Yelp
Was in town and did not understand going to a Whole Foods for a beer. I must say I was surprised in how fun it was. Both bartenders were fun and helped me with the area.
