Amazing restaurant in a beautiful location with great food. My mom said this place had the best fish and chips that she has ever had. I loved my burger too! Great place to eat whiile exploring this region and the person serving us was warm and kind to us. Loved the ambience and decor as well. We will be coming back!

Good food at reasonable prices. Burger was 8 ounces with nice garnishes. The side salad was almost a meal in itself. Fries were done perfectly. Very few customers when we entered around 12:30 early on a Sunday afternoon, but lots of traffic came in before we left. The server was pleasant and efficient.

Great staff, the menu is well priced and quantities of food served is good! I had the chefs special last night an udon noodle dish. Even though i'm not a fan of spicy foods( i would prefer mine mild most of the time) , this time it was the perfect blend between sweet and spicy. What an amazing dish. Thank you chef for the recommendation!!!!

We visited this place for a quick dinner over the holiday season- it was literally the only restaurant near the inn we were staying in, and the parking lot was quite full so we were worried about getting a table. It's a large place so they were able to squeeze us in. Our waitress (her name escapes me, but she has a great smile and is so happy and lovely!) was excellent- she took great care of us even though it was super busy. The food was pretty quick to come out and was quite good- generous enough portion for us to have leftovers, particularly the side Greek salad that I ordered. The soup of the day was also homemade and tasty. For an isolated area, the menu is large and sure to hit everyone's tastes. Also sampled: Wellington County brisket with lots of sides (jalapeno corn bread, Mexican street corn, fries & coleslaw). While some may think the price is higher ($28 for the brisket), it's a good value at the end of the day. We would definitely come back!

We had an unforgettable dinner at The Bass Hoadhouse. The atmosphere is warm, rustic, and exactly what you hope to find in Muskoka — welcoming without trying too hard. The food was excellent, and the highlight of the night was definitely the Muskoka beer, perfectly cold and full of flavor. A special shout-out to Warren, who made the entire experience even better. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the place — service like that stays with you. If you’re in the area, this spot is absolutely worth the visit. Great food, great local beer, and exceptional hospitality. We’ll definitely be back.

New patio is a game changer for Bass Lake Road House. We've been going there for almost 40 years. Nothing has changed in that time. Same OLD . The new patio on the side is a very welcome addition. Beautiful stone pavers and all new patio furniture and umbrellas. Has some nice shade also. If they could upgrade the food, it would be 5 star. Some offerings are OK. some not so good. The wing and rib combo are a good option. Some of the sandwich options taste like they're pre-made. Processed. Definitely love the new patio. Also the paved driveway. No more dust in the convertible.

My partner and I stopped in for takeout for ourselves and five other family members for the first time. It was absolutely jammed and we were told that it would be around an hour. We sat at the bar and had a drink, watching a masterclass in service by the front of house staff. People kept pouring in, hungry and impatient (a couple were downright rude) and were greeted with nothing but friendly efficiency. Despite the incredibly high volume of guests and turnover, this team handled the chaos like pros, and their communication with each other and the back of house staff (from what we could hear from our seats close to the kitchen door) was congenial and productive. It was great to see! Our food was sustainably packaged and delicious, and portions were generous. The burgers were especially good, and their daily soup was an excellent recommendation by one of the servers. We look forward to our next visit!

Nice place. 1st time here. Drive by often on a rip & thought I'd try it out. Nice atmosphere, good food. Beer wasn't the coldest, but it was fine. A/C needs some improvement, as I was melting in their restaurant. Probably due to the doors being wide open on a 40f day. At any rate, overall good. I will return.
