"Just miles from the cattle drives of the stockyard is one of the world’s most-highly regarded opera houses. Bass Performance Hall is located Downtown, right off Sundance Square. The stunning venue is home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Opera, and the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition and Cliburn Concerts. It also hosts traveling Broadway at the Bass productions such as Hamilton, Phantom of the Opera, and other timeless musicals. Prices are affordable but vary greatly depending on the show you’d like to see." - MATADOR_NETWORK

Bass Performance Hall is an absolutely stunning venue for experiencing Broadway productions. The architecture is breathtaking, with its elegant design and grand interior creating a truly immersive atmosphere. The acoustics are excellent, ensuring that every note and word is crisp and clear, making for an unforgettable theater experience. The seating is comfortable, and there isn’t a bad view in the house, allowing every guest to fully enjoy the performance. Additionally, parking is convenient, with a garage located just across the street, making it easy to access the venue without hassle. Whether you’re a seasoned theatergoer or seeing your first show, Bass Performance Hall offers a top-tier experience that’s hard to beat.

Bass Hall is stunning with a wonderful staff and not a bad seat in the house. It is such a treat to visit this beautiful and historical building to see phenomenal shows. Highly recommend catching the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra or a Broadway show any time you can! Tickets to shows make excellent and thoughtful gifts for family, friends, co-workers, and kids. Bass Hall has something special for everyone.

Beautiful building in a great location. The venue is grand, the seating for shows is decent and the staff is very nice. There are also a variety of restaurants within walking distance and parking is right across the street. We saw Les Miserables, fabulous!!

Beautiful venue. We saw Moulin Rouge which was fantastic. The staff were friendly and professional and the building was very clean. We dressed to impress but it was about 60/40 of those that dressed up and those that wore cargo shorts and a t shirt. I'd recommend doing the whole theater experience and dress up, valet park, enjoy a show and have a nice dinner at Ruth Chris or Del Frisco!

We LOVE the BASS PERFORMANCE CENTER! It is as beautiful outside as it is inside - the staff has always been friendly and helpful. There isn't a bad seat in the house. Located in the heart of Fort Worth, just a block away from Sundance Plaza, the Bass Performance Center is a fantastic venue to see your favorite musical artists, musicals, and performances! It is a MUST if you visit or live in the DFW metro!

Will NOT return - the silly security feels like a harassment. The Bass Performance Hall opened in 1998, with 2,000+ capacity. Initially, it was suggested by the pianist Van Cliburn, and one of the Basses; ultimately built with private equities - I suspect much of it or part of it were from the Bass brothers, because when I commented of the two ceilings, a docent said the difference was due to two Bass brothers who built it. Although the foyer is compact, the major hall is very pleasant, well kept, feels new (not many layers of paints…), with clean line, so are the bathrooms. It’s interesting to see so many posters on the walls are Most Mozart and Met Opera - both are New York institutions. I went to two Van Cliburn competitions in 2025, which is one of the permanent events here. The security IS unbelievable! A swamp of black clothed guards stationed at the entrances, who are fleecing patrons, from handbags to pockets (I was asked to take out my iPhone fm my leggings’ pocket), and water bottle - they demand it to be threw out. By then I was at my limit. So I told them “no way”. You don’t ask me to throw my handbag away, do you? So the guard asks her colleague or supervisor who has no clue, other than I can’t bring my water bottle in. I told them I brought one IN this afternoon. So they called a woman in regulars cloth, perhaps a manager who, make the silly story short, offered a bottle of water in THEIR bottle. I accepted it only because there are people waiting to get in. Brooke Astor (1902-2007), the scion of NY high society, noted about her need to bring a bottle of water - really for the good of the concerts. Some guards even have handheld scanners, like in an airport. There are still at least three guards mingling around AFTER the concert, as we’re leaving. I can’t help but asking “why??” I mean, who do you think you are? New York? You’re NOT, bec NY doesn’t do this kind of crap. One of them replied “… oh we want to ensure the contestants are well protected.” Front entrances? Hello, they ARE not famous yet, for Petes sake. They’re NO ONE. Let Olga Kern, who was 2001’s winner, walks on the street, see how many people will stop her: I just googled past winners who had made it. AI replies “… include Yunchan Lim (2022), Vadym Kholodenko (2013), Jon Nakamatsu (1997), Olga Kern (2001), and Nobuyuki Tsujii (2009).” I love classical music and go to concerts all the time but I only knew the name of Kern, and would NOT recognize her on the street. A very unique experience.

The family and I visited to see The Nutcracker Ballet. The building is beautiful and was decorated lovely for the Holidays. The only complaint I have, and it was a deal breaker for us, they no longer use a live Orchestra. No where did it mention this. Perhaps I am a bit "old fashioned" but the performance was, in my opinion, not professional. There were times when the dancers struggled to maintain the pace of the recorded music, and the scenes were not synchronized. Had they had a live Orchestra, the conductor would have sped up or slowed the music as needed to ensure a seamless performance. Overall, it was an experience. I will most definitely be paying more attention to the lack of details next time and do more research before purchasing tickets. ( In the past, rich donors would ensure that fine arts remained "fine". These days I suppose they are only after sucking people dry to become more rich. It's shameful.) And at over $80 per ticket, after taxes and fees, in the top rafters, I expected better.

My family and I went to see Moulin Rouge and it was fantastic!!! The scenography, the lighting, the music, costumes, actors, everything was exceptional!!! I would go back and watch the performance all over again. Amazing!
