We just came to Bassac restaurant in order to enjoy dinner out. We arrived at the lobby, yet NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY welcomed us, and it’s supposed to be Victoria. We are accustomed to use Victoria (Mui Ne branch) for years.
The receptionist saw us but didn’t even budge or call anyone to accompany us. After waiting for 10 minutes, I saw a female staff coming and talking to other customers, she passed in front of me several times pretending not seeing me, she was nice to them, spoke to them in English (that detail is important), smiled to them and was about to return to the restaurant. I had to yell “HELLO” multiple times before her neurons were able to process my call and finally turn her head. I spoke to her in English, she didn’t understand ; then I spoke in Vietnamese and she didn’t understand either.
Finally after understanding my request, she coldly told me we had to wait for 45 minutes if we wanted to attend at the restaurant. Not even a smile, nothing. The POOREST service I have ever got from a 4 star hotel and restaurant. As I previously stated, we are regular customers from Victoria hotel chain and so far the service has been great. But Victoria Chau Doc is a joke. The personnel was just unprofessional. If I could rate 0 star, I wouldn’t have hesitated.
Whether you are a hotel resident or an outside customer, everyone shall be treated with respect and politeness. This experience has tarnished the image I had of Victoria Hotels. Hope my message was clear.
