Basse Provence Guest House at Rickety Bridge

Stayed here for 4 nights in a loft room. Tanya was very helpful in answering lots of questions before we arrived. Room was spacious and very comfortable with plenty of standard amenities. Staff were excellent, always on the go, either cleaning or serving. Breakfast was freshly made and very good quality, they were able to provide platters from Rickety Bridge to eat on by the pool along with a bottle of wine. Great place to explore Franschhoek and the surrounding areas from. Highly recommend Magnus tours and transfers for impeccable service.

You won't find better hospitality anywhere on earth! From welcoming wine, tasting experiences, amazing food and beautiful views. Chats with the friendly staff was my absolute highlight. BEST stay; highly recommended! ❤️

Absolutely charming little B&B on the property of a beautiful winery! Lovely room with beautiful touches. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of food. We also enjoyed the swimming pool on a hot day. We received a complimentary wine tasting at Rickety Bridge, the winery adjoining the property, which was fantastic (would also recommend the winery)! Staff and management were extremely professional. Overall a really lovely property with tons of character at a reasonable price. Would absolutely highly recommend!!

Beautiful venue, great, huge rooms and really friendly staff. Food at the restaurant very good too and a great location to start a wine tour (the wine made on the estate is delicious as well). We came for a wedding and had the best time - an amazing setting!

7 of us stayed 2 nights here to help celebrate our sons 30th birthday. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The breakfasts could feed a small army and was delicious. The hotel was very clean andan ideal base for us to go on the Wine Tram. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The free wine tasting at Rickety Bridge topped the break for us.

Two lovely nights in the Manor House was a proper treat. This generous vaulted ceiling suite was a pleasure - big bath, big shower, comfy bed and private entrance. And the team could not have made us more welcome for our first nights on the Cape. Fresh flowers and looking after all of our needs - we appreciated their service and the attention. ||Breakfast was also generous, fresh and delightfully served in the courtyard. Big thumbs up for Basse Provence, it’s a lovely well-appointed guest house only 5 minutes from Franshhoek and nestled within the Rickety Bridge winery estate. We’d have no hesitation coming back.

We had booked a night away with our daughter, who is studying down in Cape Town. I looked at the lovely reviews and managed to get the 2 Bedroom cottage.|Considering this is in Franschhoek we were expecting a lot more.|The staff and welcome were exceptional.|The 2 bedroom cottage is in need of some attention. The lounge / dining area / kitchen are all a bit worn.|We were sitting in the lounge and a staff member just walked in, without knocking, to check on the DSTV, which he said had been faulty earlier in the day.|The two bedrooms are clean, large, basic and the pressure in the bathrooms went from a trickle to non existent.|There is no view from the cottage (it faces the road)

We had a nice stay in this guesthouse for one night. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was nice and surrounding is breathtaking with its wine fields and mountains. Definitely recommended for everybody who is looking for a great accommodation to do wine tasting.
