Excellent service - accidentally spilled my water and the staff immediately attended and cleaned everything up while ensuring me everything is okay (Thank you 🙏🏻) Fried Calzone Pizza - excellent crunch with INTENSE cheese pull. Get it if you’re a fan of cheesy crust pizzas. The anchovy presents a bit of umami balance as well. 9/10 Tiramisu - JUST LOOK AT IT! Strong coffee flavour with insane cream poured on top. The sponge could be a bit more soaked/softer imo. The hazelnuts gave a bit extra crunch and texture. 9/10 Casarecce - for me, it’s interesting to find duck as the protein in a pasta and it didn’t disappoint. Excellent flavour and wasn’t overly salty which I usually find in other Italian restaurants. Pasta itself was quite Al-dente. 8/10 Mafalda - Personally I found the tomato dominated the flavour and the swimmer crab didn’t hero the dish. But I’m glad the viscosity of the sauce allow it to cling onto the pasta. 7/10

I was on the train headed back to my hotel and did a search for Italian spots along my route and found Bastardo and so glad I chose this place! I didn't have a reservation so outdoor seating was the only option which wasn't as fancy but nice. The bread, amalfi spritz and pumpkin agnolotti was great! A cool tourist was sitting at the next table and we ended up dining together and chatting it up about our travels, which was a bonus! Will definitely come back again.

The best Italian in Sydney! I’ve been to Bastardo a couple of times and it honestly never disappoints. The food is absolutely spectacular… hands down the best Italian I’ve had in Sydney. What makes it even better is the service: the staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, which takes the whole experience to another level. Can’t wait to go back!

Very impressed by this place the service, the food couldn't fault anything. The Pasta was nice and fresh they were quite busy however they gave us complimentary bread whilst we waited for them to come out which was a nice small touch. This place is definitely worth a visit if you haven't tried yet!

Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing and we had great service from Rohan who was really friendly and helpful. The eggplant parmigiana is a must try, and the ambience is spot on, quiet and well lit for a relaxed dinner. Can’t wait to go back!

Very delicious food and excellent customer service!! The food was so good, we ordered Humble Bread & Olive Oil, BBQ octopus, Burrata, Crab and Prawn pasta, and Tiramisu. The bread - soft inside and crispy enough outside. BBQ octopus - so so good, I love the sauce and the crispy potato. Burrata - portion was small, wish it was larger to be worth the price, the fig was soft and sweet, and the cheese was fresh. Crab pasta - I love this dish the most, I don’t know how to describe but it was good and I recommend trying this. Prawn pasta - quite underwhelming and I didn’t like the sauce, quite bland. Tiramisu - must-try dish! it is sweet at first, but you can taste all the flavors when it melts in your mouth. also, the liquor flavour was quite strong. I also recommend their house mocktail - sammy’s cinnamarg — balanced flavour and soo refreshing Staffs were really friendly and attentive, 100/10 for the service here. The only thing I didn’t like was that the portion was quite small compared to the price.
