My husband, sister, and I had such a lovely stay at Bastide Ste-Didier earlier this month. Jasmine and Richard have created a bed and breakfast that is outstanding in every way. The rooms are sizable--and the windows have screens so you don't have to worry about mosquitoes (often not the case in France), beds are comfy, plenty of hot water in the showers, delicious breakfasts all in the gorgeous countryside in the shadow of Mt. Ventoux. Richard is an excellent baker and cook, while Jasmine has nurtured a garden over their acreage filled with flowers, shrubs, and trees in which you can relax after your days of exploring the region. Plus, there's a big saltwater pool for swimming and a summer kitchen in which you can keep food so you don't always have to eat in restaurants. They know the highlights of the local area and provide both recommendations for restaurants and groceries, and are happy to book the former for guests. Both hosts are very generous, gifting us with a bottle of wine upon arrival, and honey and bread when we departed. This is truly an extraordinary place with very special people, perhaps a bit off the routes traveled by most people, but do consider making your way to them. You'll want to extend your stay, no matter how many days you book.
