Bastione di Saint Remy

This was a cool stop I walked to from the cruise port, it was uphill the entire time but the views were pretty cool. There are many stairs to get to the top, and once you get there there are several benches and some trees. Unfortunately none of the benches had shade.

Amazing scenery, views and a wonderful walk around here. Not too far from the port. Some fantastic history and if you have the buggy tour you can find out more as you go past which we did. Such a lovely area, we really enjoyed this start to our Italian holiday.

One more bastion. Built in the late 19th century on the ancient city walls. Connects the lower city to the historic Castello district. From the top, enjoy stunning panoramic views over the city, port, and sea. A perfect spot to relax and take photos.

Bastione di Saint Remy is a beautiful and historic landmark offering stunning views over Cagliari. It’s a great spot for photos, relaxing, and soaking in the local atmosphere. The architecture and terrace are impressive, especially at sunset. However, accessibility can be an issue—there’s only one elevator, which often means long waits. If you’re traveling with kids or strollers, be prepared for some inconvenience, especially during busy times. Still, it’s worth the visit.

Nice view, you can buy umbrellas or hats from vendors there. I recommend not going in sunny weather and during the lunch hours as it is very hot.

It's a beautiful old structure with wonderful panoramic views of the city once you climb the elegant staircase. Just be warned it can be swarming with tourists taking Insta photos and TikTok videos which can detract from the experience. Don't forget to open your eyes and drink it all in ❤️

The view is astonishing. It is very close to the city center with good restaurants and coffee houses. Free access to the top – a must-visit if you are already in Cagliari.

Great public space. Quite a bit of steps to climb up, but definitely worth it. No entry fees.
