I hope Bataclan survives the Corvid-19 pandemic as it is, without doubt, the best of the fun bars, restaurants, and show clubs in Ilheus. I understand Bataclan was originally a combination show club and a house of prostitution. Almost magically, it has been transformed into the highly tastefully stylish place it is today, yet retaining its earlier and much of the areas colonial roots.
The live theater and music are top-notch along with its Jorge Amado oriented book collection. I also love its little shop, it's in house cachaça, of which I might say I was pleasantly overserved rather than confessing I drank too much. And then, besides cachaça and other spirits one of the best wine collections to be found.
The food I had was super tasty and my service impeccable.
