Dropped by Batch Brewing one weekend after work, after a meal and a brew. They don't serve food, but they do have food trucks/stands outside pretty much every day. You can check their website for the schedule. So not reviewing the food I purchased, just noting that you can 100% eat whatever you get at Batch's tables which is nice.
I've been on a sour beer kick lately, so I tried the Lemon Elixir on tap. It was very refreshing, very tart, with a little sweetness, but not much bitterness which was good since I'm not into that sorta thing. It's like sucking on a fresh juicy lemon infused with alcohol - would definitely order again. I also grabbed the Big Apple Sour in a bottle and popped it open when I got home. This one was a little disappointing, however. I like dry ciders and sour ales, but found this particular batch lacking something. It was certainly sour, tart, dry, and crisp, and while it smelled like apple, was a bit weak in terms of apple flavor. It didn't necessarily need to be sweeter - that would make it a cider - but for a brew with "big apple" in the name, my palate definitely craved more apple flavor. Not bad but wouldn't order again.
All in all, a laid back brewery with finely crafted beers, and convenient food options. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out! With about 10 beers on tap and a handful of bottled options in the fridge, you're sure to find something you like.
