We had an average experience at Batch Brewing in Sydney. The beers were decent, with a good range of styles to choose from, but none that really stood out or felt memorable. The venue had a relaxed, no-frills feel, which some might enjoy, but it lacked a bit of atmosphere during our visit. Service was fine, though not particularly warm or welcoming. Overall, it’s an okay spot for a casual drink, but it didn’t quite live up to the hype for us.

Google
so, picture this: it's bucketing down, the kind of rain that makes you question your life choices, and I stumble into this joint. Purely for shelter, mind you. Turns out, they've got some decent brews. Like, actually decent. Tried a few, and they hit the spot. But the real star of the show? The Pumpkin Pie Ale. Now, I know what you're thinking: pumpkin pie beer? Sounds like a dare. But, it was... interesting. Like drinking a slice of pie, but in beer form. A bit weird, a bit wonderful, and definitely memorable. It's got that industrial chic thing going on. You know, exposed brick, metal, the whole shebang. Look, if you're into craft beer, especially the weird and wonderful kind, this place is worth a visit.

Google
Nice setup you've got here Batch Brewing and the beer went down real easy, I rate the pale ale! Friendly team working here too. I look forward to visiting again in the future

Google
A cool place, great indoor seats, cool vibe, and a great place to start the ale trail. The ales are yum. Just go. It’s good

Google
A couple of very good lagers, the Keller Helles and a corn lager. Great day for a beer and the vegetable sandwich from the food truck outside was delicious also.

Google
The OG of Sydney craft beer. Always awesome, always a pleasure to be there. Atmosphere always on point and beer is the best. From sours through to big IIPAs they know what they’re doing.

Google
Nice beers and venue, but the customer service was very poor. Some other reviews show that it wasn't a one off situation either..

Google
Excellent joint. Music, the perfect amount of busy and good beer. All the way from standard beers to the weird and wacky with plenty inbetween. The German larger is the bread of the thirsty but the Belgian ale is the dessert you serve for mains!

Yelp
This is another one of those awesome craft breweries, this one hidden in one of Sydney's inner suburbs, though fortunately a rather short walk from the railway station. Like most of these small breweries they have a great selection of beers, though I do note that this place certainly is quite popular, since it can be difficult to find a seat at times. However, the main reason that I come to places like this are for the beers, and the beer selection here is certainly pretty good.

Yelp
From a beer standpoint this might have been my favorite I had on my trip to Australia. Some very very good sour/fruity/fun beers!! The location is a bit off the beaten path. Didnt't seem like there was much else around going on, and the space is a bit small.

Yelp
A friend that I went to Batch Brewing while we were in Marrickville, and overall, it's a large space with friendly staff and nothing to eat. Beers are a matter of taste, so I won't really rate them here. There were about eight or 10 beers on tap when we were there. From what I understand, this is one of the few that are open on Sunday night, so keep that in mind if you were going to Marrickville to visit breweries. The bartender working was very friendly and gave us a lot of good recommendations of breweries to check out around the city. That local knowledge is invaluable.

Yelp
The Beers are good, the atmosphere is good, but there's so much that needs attention. They have a food truck on the days they are open & on the day we went they only had pork! I hate pork. But when I mentioned it to the bar guy he put on the popcorn machine, which was good. They have an ok selection but it's pretty typical of all other Breweries. The bathroom is unisex which was fine while I wAs there but I bet it gets gross & messy. The atmosphere was pretty chill, and they do like to make it pretty 'homely'. I'd have anther go!

Yelp
Why Five stars ??? ...... It's relaxed ...... comfortable ...... open ...... and non pretentious ...... you can bring your children, your pets and your mates and all have a great time chatting away and laughing while sampling the delights that The Batch have made for that particular season. Being an old man now ..... One of Joey D's favorite brews is the Batch's 'Milk Stout' ..... with deep, lush Milky chocolate overtones ..... with the bitterness of a traditional dark beer .... It rocks my little universe ! ..... It's local and we love local's making their neighborhood a happier place. P.s ..... a Cider to their range would be such a welcomed opportunity.

Yelp
Love this microbrewery because their beer is really good! Their selection of beer is fairly big, ranging from pale ale to fruity beer to dark stouts. They didnt have a lot of seats (so there were a couple of people standing around), and it's pretty hot inside the warehouse ...the fan didnt help much. But again, people come here for their beer and it's worth it. A big parking lot right next to the brewery and it's pets friendly :)

Yelp
Dropped by Batch Brewing one weekend after work, after a meal and a brew. They don't serve food, but they do have food trucks/stands outside pretty much every day. You can check their website for the schedule. So not reviewing the food I purchased, just noting that you can 100% eat whatever you get at Batch's tables which is nice. I've been on a sour beer kick lately, so I tried the Lemon Elixir on tap. It was very refreshing, very tart, with a little sweetness, but not much bitterness which was good since I'm not into that sorta thing. It's like sucking on a fresh juicy lemon infused with alcohol - would definitely order again. I also grabbed the Big Apple Sour in a bottle and popped it open when I got home. This one was a little disappointing, however. I like dry ciders and sour ales, but found this particular batch lacking something. It was certainly sour, tart, dry, and crisp, and while it smelled like apple, was a bit weak in terms of apple flavor. It didn't necessarily need to be sweeter - that would make it a cider - but for a brew with "big apple" in the name, my palate definitely craved more apple flavor. Not bad but wouldn't order again. All in all, a laid back brewery with finely crafted beers, and convenient food options. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out! With about 10 beers on tap and a handful of bottled options in the fridge, you're sure to find something you like.

Yelp
Good range of beers- many styles to choose from including sours, wheats, IPA's, stouts and plenty infused with flavors.

Yelp
Such a good brewery!! Loved the prices here. A flight of beer for $15 or one beer for $6!! That's a steal around here! There's a good truck out front if you want to grab a feed while you're here. Definitely a must do in the area.

Yelp
Amazing Milk stout made creamy with the use of Nitrogen: Elsie the Milk Stout - Nitrogenated stout with lactose. Comes very close if not better than my favourite beer, the Milk Stout Nitro - Left Hand Brewing. Batch Brewing has a Choc Raspberry Stout brewing at the moment, can't wait to try it. Visited on a Friday night, really easy from the CBD, jumped on a train from Wynyard to Sydenham and it was a few minutes walk from the train station. As other reviewers have noted, they partner with food trucks. There is a list of which food trucks are booked on their website. They also have special events, so check out their web site.

Yelp
Visited on a Thursday night and had no trouble finding a table. We sat at one of the long wooden tables with high chairs. The couches looked comfy but a few don't have tables in front of them and we weren't too keen to rest our beers in our hands or on the floor. You can order what's on tap by the glass for around $5, which changes regularly, or grab a larger beer out of the fridge and they will crack it open for you. I had the summer farmhouse ale which was refreshing. I also asked to try a couple of other beers and the bar staff gave us some samples with no hassles. The food truck outside on the night we visited was Vietnamese and we had a pulled pork noodle salad and chicken and veggie spring rolls. This is a really great space to hang out in this area.

Yelp
We don't DO local pubs in the Inner West, we do local microbreweries... If you like craft beer & beards (& let's face it, you wouldn't be in the Inner West if you didn't), then this is the place for you! A couple of cheeky ales & a burrito from the Cantina Movil food truck outside, a great way to catch up with a pal on a Saturday afternoon. That's really all there is to it too; good beer brewed onsite, a different food truck outside each day, some seats... why complicate a winning formula? Try the Summer Farmhouse Ale too if the sun's out, a reet tasty thirst quencher.

Yelp
This is good stuff! We have been going to Batch Brewery now for about 12 months. When we first started going, they could only open a couple of afternoons a week and you could always find a seat and hear yourself talk (important to us oldies). But since then, their patronage has deservedly swelled and they are allowed to trade some more hours. All the Beers are brewed on site and you will most certainly find one or two to your liking. A couple of guys own/run the place and they are fantastic .... BUT, they serve their beers in BLOODY jam jars - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! As for food, we haven't been for a month or so now, but they used to have a local mobile pizza oven turn up. Seriously worth a visit.

Yelp
Really great beer with quality truck food out the front. Just had a yummy Mama Linh's Vietnamese beef roll with two hand crafted dark beers. Couldn't get better than this.

Yelp
We came here for a function last night, which meant we could try all the beers, wines and have tours through the place all night. It's a small brewery and its really raw. There is little finessing to the place - they're focussed on being a brewery and the eating/drinking space is purely an afterthought. I like it a lot. There's no pretension, the people who work here know their beers and it's a very nice chilled out vibe. And of course its Marrickville, so lots of characters abound. I forgive the mason jars utilisation given its the same size as a schooner.

Yelp
This is a great, dog-friendly brewery to spend a Saturday afternoon. The beers are good with lots of variety, and in the particular day I was there they had a special BBQ menu going (not sure if this is a regular or rare thing). I'll definitely come back!

Yelp
Another good local microbrewery in the area. The warehouse has relaxed lounge room vibe and there are always interesting new brews to taste. They also sell bottles direct.

Yelp
These guys are legit. You can see the beer being brewed, as there is a chain-linked fence between the seating area & their machinery. They did a great job making an industrial setting feel trendy & relaxed. They upcycled on majority of their decor - impressive! Their beer is great, especially for those who like dark beer. I love drinking out of mason jars, too, and it just continues to add to the relaxed & trendy feel. They allow you to buy food nearby and bring it into their establishment. Waste away on their taster, and then some!

Yelp
Great people, excellent beers!. The brewery tasting room is a great place to sample the latest beers on offer... What's on tap changes frequently so it's a good reason to keep coming back. Luckily the American pale is regularly brewed , because it's one of my faves there are usually food trucks outside on weekends as well

Stuart B.

Yelp
Great beer and atmosphere, would give 5 stars but they serve the beer in jars. Give me a normal glass please.
