My husband and I like to visit scare attractions every year and this year we chose here, we were not disappointed. The actors did an amazing job and the sets looked very well done nothing cheesy or cheaply done. I would definitely recommend this place there’s 3 attractions and a really good price. We went on a Monday night there was a decent amount of people and we made it thru all three in just under 2 hrs they even managed quite a few jump scares on my hubby! We will definitely visit again.

Google
The Bates Motel does such a great job. Very well organized, the actors are great, and the hayride is FULL of amazing props, animatronics! It’s our favorite Halloween attraction! We paid for the VIP tickets as the lines can get long. There are food stands as well! I gave it 4 stars because it seemed a little shorter this year, but still absolutely worth it!

We purchased tickets online. The process was harder than it should have been. You pick a time slot to enter. (This time does not matter. Everyone enters when they get there. There is no staging area for times). You must enter a security line and go through a metal detector (no bags, backpacks, or purses). Once you do that, you go to the ticket booth with your QR code and receive a paper ticket. The Hayride. We waited in line for 60 minutes. Got onto the trailer bed. You have to sit cross-legged. There is nothing to lean up against, so it could be uncomfortable for some. The total ride took about 20-25 minutes. There were 7 or 8 different scenes. There were a lot of animatronic (some were quite large), and live flames. There weren't as many live actors (3-4 per scene). There weren't many jump scares, especially if you were in the center of the trailer. There was one overhead live actor. The Maze. It took about 15 minutes to walk through. There were a good number of animatronic and props. The Maze had a good number of live actors. The jump scares were pretty good. The Haunted House. Took 12 minutes to walk through. The props were OK. The number of live actors was decent. Not as many jump scares as the Maze. PROS: Parking is free. The entrance fee includes all 3 attractions. There is food and drinks available. They have a souvenir shop. They have port a potty. There are plenty of photo opportunities. Did see someone using a walker, so there is room to manuver. CONS: You pick a time slot to enter, and it isn't used. The dust was horrific (if you have breathing or respatory issues, wear a mask). To many people at a time through the attraction (15 people doesn't allow the actors time to reset to scare parts of the group (smaller group size would allow for more jump scares). There was nowhere to eat the food you got.

Very nice! You can tell they put a lot of effort and care and time into this business. The sets were amazing, all staff helpful and friendly. Parking was directed wonderfully. Lines were very reasonable. The hayride was impressive and the actors were all very entertaining. Got a few good scares. I’ll return!

Google
I really enjoyed my time here! I’ma young adult and kind of expected it to be scarier but maybe I'm just getting older, considering though that it has won awards as the scariest haunted attraction in America, I really would have to disagree. It was akin to my local farms attraction. That being said, I had a lovely time, best time to go would be after 8:30 pm to avoid initial line, but it moves quickly which is why I’m so happy I didn’t upgrade with my group to VIP while there for double the price of a multiride ticket. All three attractions and waiting in all the lines we still finished everything in about 1.5 hours, if we skipped the lines it prob would have been over in 45 mins tops. We drove an hour so that was a bit of a shock. I think this would be a great stop for younger kids.

Google
A well organized, fun, and safe experience. We went at 6:30pm on Saturday and the lines were very manageable. The actors were really great and kind too.

What a great time at Bates Motel and Haunted Hay Ride. We had an amazing time with the hayride and the haunted house. The actors were great and spooky. I would recommend coming here if you want to have a fun and entertaining time!! I can’t wait to go back!!!

Went last year was a great time, the work they put into it was incredible hope to go again next year

Yelp
Ticket included admission to three attractions; Haunted hayride, haunted maze, and Bates motel. Loved the elaborate scenes. Would have been better if there were bales of hay or a bench. Very hard to get down on floor board and to get up. Want to go back and see other side as my back was to one side of scenes. Very well done. Maze was Ok but nothing all that great. Rained while we were there and it was slick and very muddy. Bates was cool but was most impressed with the hayride. My other issue was lack of signs on where to go and with this being our first time it made it tough. This haunt was a nice haunt but nothing compares to Haunted Overload in NH.

Anna S.

Yelp
This is so much fun and is appropriate for all ages! Great activity for a Halloween celebration with friends, family, or your date. We went on a Sunday before actual Halloween which is a Monday this year. Booked our ticket for 7:30pm but they allow you to switch your time if you're running late, etc. Honestly I doubt they are strict on entrance time because just the line to get in, it is about 1hrs waiting in line. They required everyone to start with the the hay ride first, then you can pick between the haunted trail or the bated motel. It took us about 2hrs waiting in line in total to get on to our first attraction - hay ride. The hay ride and the haunted trail are my favorites. Hay ride was about 20 minutes and is a very unique concept that's not often offered at other haunted attractions! The haunted trail was fun because the staff dressed in costumes had more room to move around so the the experience felt more interactive and spooky. When we went through Bates Motel I felt like we were rushed and they didn't section the staff or people as well. Overall, it was definitely worth the visit. We got plenty of Halloween scares! The only complaint is that many attendees were smoking while waiting in line. I understand it's outdoor but it's rude to smoke in a public crowd where others have no choice but to stand in line and be a victim of second hand smoke. The event should do a better job limiting smoking areas and restrict smoking while waiting in line for attractions.

Yelp
The decor is nice, mimics the Psycho movie which is what we expect. The "scares" however are not there. It is a lame experience. I gave this place 3 chances and it became worse each time. Channel 6 promotes them, I feel this is the only reason it does the numbers it does.

Michael H.

Yelp
My nephew is 9 and wasn't scared. I remember being terrified as a kid. I have concluded that 1.) modern children are more desensitized. 2.)They have a lot less staff. This means that there was way less going on. 3.) It's exactly the same shit they were using 30 years ago. They didn't update anything to my knowledge. The entire set is stuck in 1990. 4.) This is entirely overpriced for what it is. I spent 114$ for 2 tickets on a Saturday night. I feel there was like 20 people working there. Feeling disappointed. My nephew seemed to have fun laughing at the assholes though

Yelp
This was my first visit to Bates Motel, and my first haunted house since my teens! We came last Friday 10/14 with a group of 5 and purchased 7pm entry tickets. The lines looked really long, but honestly I felt like they moved really quickly. The lines are clearly marked between GA and VIP and they start you off through a security check and then straight to the haunted hayride. As it was my first, I had fun because of the novelty of it - being on a hay ride, sitting with friends and strangers and enjoying the ride and company. This ride consisted mostly of animatronics, but also had actors that would creep up through the woods to scare you on the hayride as well as actors as we passed through different themes. Next, you have the choice of doing Bates or the Maze. Overall, my favorite house or theme was the Circus/Clown one. There is one really good scare in there that I won't spoil for you guys, but that was the major one that got me. I will reference that I'm extremely desensitized to horror/jump scares from decade of watching horror. Overall, I felt it was well set up- a well ironed machine, they clearly know how to manage the crowd levels and get everyone through the attractions. I didn't get scared except for that 1 I mentioned above, but I still had a good time. With the novelty of it being my first time, 3 attractions for $50 I felt was fair. But I have no baseline of comparison, and even though I had fun I probably wouldn't go back now that I know what it's all about and I didn't get scared.. Field of Screams or Pennhurst next I guess?!

Daniel L.

Yelp
Not worth $90 vip... And don't buy digital photos because of low resolution. Not worth $25 for a blurry shots. This attraction is suited much more for kids... Want more frights stick to field of screams & pennhurst. Reply: I was able to review on the 3 monitors. They looked great and why I decided to pay for digital file. But with that process unknown to me you are buying a lower resolution picture that is nowhere as nice as those that you print out at site. ;(

Sarah A.

Yelp
What an incredibly fun experience! I love all things Halloween and when I heard about this place and how close it is, I had to go! There are three main attractions that are all very well done. Actors and animatronics abound with well decorated scary features. There were even mini corn trails that added to the scare factor. I opted for the VIP Pass and thankful that I did since the regular lines reminded me of the best amusement park ride lines. However, the ticket prices are definitely expensive if you go for a fast pass. For my own sanity I was willing to pay the $90 per person but most would find that way too expensive. There are additional features inside the farm but they cost extra. There were a good amount of food stalls but the prices were inflated like most fairground prices. Overall extremely fun and will definitely go again!!

Yelp
Unless you have a kid or a young teen. Do Not Do This...Don't believe me? then go ahead do it, just remember you were warned. My wife and i did 5 haunts across 2 states and this was the worst. The only thing worth mentioning is that they do have cool scenes setup during the hayride. but that's it! VIP tickets are supposed to get you in ahead of everything, well not really...the hayride VIP line was less spiraling but it still led right into the regular line. Finally you you get seated on one of like 7 or 8 tractors that they line up front, back and next to each other. and you wait for your tractors turn to go through lightly themed areas with some actors that just go back and for the through the motions that was sad to see. finally you get off and move to the next haunt...even with VIP tickets the guard was ushering everyone into the long line, even after protesting he was leading me there until i broke out the dictionary and spoke very slowly..finally we get to go on the right line, once the joke of a haunt was over you go to the hotel which was just shockingly bad. bad refreshment options and well time to go...best part of the trip were the hot donuts. How this place is rated so high is beyond me. I should be refunded for the false advertising and useless overpayment of the VIP option.

Audrey L.

Yelp
Purchased tickets for the 8:15pm show, waited in line for over an hour before we got to the hayride. There was A LOT of walking and waiting. Parking for me wasn't that bad.

Lee I.

Yelp
Generally had a good experience, but the fear factor really ramped up when an actor broke character to very intensely question my partner and I why we were wearing masks. Definitely soured our experience, and made us feel wildly unwelcome

Lisa I.

Yelp
So awesome!! A friend and I took our 11 year olds here for the first time. We had such a great time. The lines moved fairly quickly and at max. we waited 15 mins each attraction. The actors did an outstanding job and I was genuinely surprised as they popped out or followed us. The apple cider and apple cider donuts for a 10! Don't forget to get your picture taken prior to entering. We loved it so much that we already bought tickets to go again this weekend. Don't forget to check Groupon for discounted tickets.

Tim E.

Yelp
Went last night and place was a disappointment actors sucked didn't even try to scare looked like half of them didn't even want to be there, the scariest part was the clown section in the maze other then that I was very bored and disappointed don't waste your money and go somewhere else.

Michael w.

Yelp
Great experience! Fun time with friends. The best one IMO is the hay ride. The maze is a lot better than I remember from going a long time ago. The hotel seemed to be the only thing that I wasn't that amazed by I felt like that was the least exciting but still very fun!

C L.

Yelp
Very family-friendly Halloween venue, despite the fact that it was thick with HS freshmen (guys and girls) when we went. Perfect for 11-12 yo. Hayride is the least scary, corn maze is "medium" and house is scariest (but still not too much for a middle schooler).

Kelli M.

Yelp
We just went here for the first time the other night at the end of the night. I bought the VIP tickets off of Groupon expecting it to be busy but it wasn't so we didn't need them but whatever. They changed the hayride to a walkthrough because of Covid, never did the hayride but I loved the walkthrough. We had a lot of fun. The only thing I didn't like is that there was no where to stop between attractions to eat or drink. I was incredibly thirsty after just the first attraction and had to go through all of them before we could get a drink. Since we were the last of the evening one of the actor guys did take a pic with my son in the cave thing.

Nicole G.

Yelp
This was my first time at the Bates Motel Attractions. Corn Maze and Hayride did not let me down. Creepy and next level details on costumes and decorations. I wish I could have gone through the haunted house again because I felt rushed by the group behind us.

Charlie E.

Yelp
They go all out here! As a foodie, the highlight was the apple cider donuts and the apple cider lol. Their nachos sucked. The haunted hayride was entertaining, they must have spent a million dollars on it. All sorts of rides, got jump-scared a few times. Bates motel kinda sucked because there was a huge group in front. Would recommend you make sure you have space in front and behind so you don't miss all the jumpscares.

Jasmine R.

Yelp
This was a fun hayride and haunted house attraction. The lines were long but they moved pretty fast. They have food available but the lines were extremely long. They did not have any seating available this year so you could not sit down to eat which I didn't like. If you get tried from walking they had nowhere for you to sit and take a break.

Natalie S.

Yelp
This was my first time here and I wasn't expecting much because I usually don't find haunted houses to be scary but The Bates Motel changed my opinion. It was fantastic! They have 3 attractions, the first being my favorite. They did away with the haunted hayride because of covid so instead, they have you walk along a dark trails in the woods. It was so much better than a hayride and the walk lasted at least 15 minutes. They had a ton of actors along the trails that would jump out and scare you. The decorations were phenomenal. The second attraction was the corn maze and the third was the hotel. The corn maze was the second best attraction and the hotel was my least favorite but it was still fun. Overall, I had a great time and I would definitely recommend The Bates Motel over other haunted attractions. I went through all 3 attractions in about an hours and the lines weren't that long for it being a weekend night. They did an amazing job with the decorations, costumes and you can tell a lot of effort was put into each attraction. I probably jumped at least 20-30 times from start to finish!

Johana M.

Yelp
We had a blast! The kids were freaked out just enough. I appreciate the time and effort they take to make this happen.

Tiffany J.

Yelp
Very fun experience for a small group very quick fun recommend going during weekdays it takes about 20 mins for the hayride and 20 mins for every attraction

Araba N.

Yelp
Really not impressed at all. This seems to be targeted towards a younger, middle/high school crowd, but even for them, it's probably more of a place to hang out than a legitimately scary and fun experience. I went with friends and we did all three attractions: the hayride, the motel, and the walking trail. The whole visit took three hours because we spent more time standing around in line than actually enjoying the rides. The set designs are cool, and one fun thing about the attractions is that it's a mix of mannequins and real people, so it keeps you guessing throughout. Despite this, there just aren't enough actors for the amount of space, and most of them didn't seem to be putting in that much effort. There were only a couple times that I was even startled, but the actors seemed to respect your personal space a little bit too much. Also, because there are so many people going through the attractions who aren't properly spaced out, the actors would jump out at one group, then try and scare you even though you just saw them scaring the group in front of you. The Bates Motel was so fast that I don't even remember it. The hay ride was so unnecessarily long that I found myself zoning out because there wasn't any action for about 40% of the ride. The walking trail was the only part that was remotely scary and amusing but not enough to make the three hours it took to get through the whole park worth it. Not recommended. Frightland in Delaware is much better by magnitudes.

Frances P.

Yelp
This was not a bad attraction but it deffently was not worth my 40$ didn't get scared the hayride kinda was dragging just wasn't scary and finished all activities super fast I wish they had longer attractions :/

Shavone D.

Yelp
I've been going to Bates for years. This year was the first time I ever felt like I wasted my money. It seemed like they were lacking actors and the ones who were there I really felt like they weren't into it. I never once was really frightened which is crazy for me because it doesn't take much lol. Maybe this is a result of businesses still trying to rebound from Covid but I was very disappointed as this used to be one of my favorites. I can't imagine that I'll be going back.

Melissa I.

Yelp
This place GREATLY disappointed me and here's why... I go to halloween attractions every single weekend in October. For this one I choose to visit on a Sunday and arrived at 7:45pm... no big deal. I chose the Sunday because it's less busy. I came here with my best friend and my fiancé and we drove for 2 hours to get here so this is not a place that's around the corner. The motel and corn maze were AMAZING! A+ The actors, props, everything was fantastic. I even said, "I think this is the best place we've been to for attractions in 2018." And then... At this point, it's about 8:45pm and our last attraction is the Hayride. I chose to end with the Hayride because its suppose to be the best attraction. If I go to a park that's known for something, I want to end with a bang. And a bang I did... it was closed. WHAT?! We went up to the workers and they said, "Oh yeah, it's closed. We announced it on the loud speakers." REALLY? because a) We were not the only ones who didn't hear it... a few other people were standing there with us and b) HOW am I suppose to hear YOUR announcement when people are talking around me, music is loud, and I'm in the middle of another attraction such as the corn maze? Am I suppose to stop in the corn maze and say, "Hey! What's the announcement say?" NOWHERE does it state that the hayride closes earlier than the other attractions. It doesn't say it on the ticket, on the booth, no workers told us until it was already closed OR on the website. All you need is a BIG sign that says, "The hayride will be closed by 8:30pm" thats it! and if you miss it, oh well! You should have read the sign. I seriously couldn't believe it. Like I said, I go to attractions all the time and all of them say once you get the ticket, you are safe. Meaning if the place closes at 9pm and you still need to get thru a hayride or whatever attraction, it DOES NOT close down until EVERYONE is done. If your rules do not apply to this, then it has to be stated somewhere OTHER THAN AN ANNOUCEMENT. Luckily, the owner and/or manager gave us $30 out of $40 dollars back for each of us for a refund which was a very nice gesture but it still left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. This place was great until then... major disappointment! Especially for a group who traveled 2 hours for this.

Jessica O.

Yelp
This was my first time here, which means my only visit to Bates motel was during COVID. We bought our tickets online and selected a time slot that our group would go at. When we arrived we waited in line with about 500 more people for 30-45 minutes. This was a bit frustrating because if you reserve a time slot of a certain time you do not expect to wait in line for so long. While going through the attraction I was amazed with how much work and thought was put into making this production. They really covered every fear! I don't feel that I get scared easily, but I did get spooked a few times. I think it is just the right amount of scary where it is not lame, but not so terrifying that you can't make it all the way to the end. The haunted trails and houses were split up into 3 sections which was in my opinion very nice because it gave you a second to catch your breathe before getting scared for another 20 minutes. 1 point off because we should not have waited in line for so long when we chose a time slot and also they could have done a better job making sure groups were actually 6 feet apart while in line. An example of what could have been done better I went to another haunted trail this year and they painted the fences red(where you could stand) and white(where you couldn't stand) so it was clear where how much space to give for each group. If not for that everything else was 5 stars!

JM H.

Yelp
Bates Made Better without Haunters! Finally, while I appreciate that haunters play a role in a haunted attraction, it is far better without them, or so many of them. The atmosphere was creepy enough, and walking thru in smaller groups made this a far better experience. I LOVED the lack of haunters and those cheap overdone jump scares. The staff tried thier best to enforce social distancing but you know how people are...

Dianna B.

Yelp
This was the third house I got to see on my visit with the Legendary Haunt Tour. We started out with a Haunted Hay ride. Again, I'm from Florida, we don't do these things, but In the north east I guess they're a THING. Bates puts a lot of heart and soul into the scenes pacing them well and their actors seem to really get into it as well. The Bates Motel was so well done! Makeup, costuming and actual haunt were all so very excellent. Timing of the actors, the variety of scares and not just relying on the BOO! factor. I especially liked the mossy creeper in the garden. He's got a lot of fun and range to play in. And I know it was cold when we visited, so Kudos to him. The bloody Mary was also particularly memorable in the fact that she gave me WAY too much dialogue, but she was a delight when chatting with her after. The corn maze/trail.. I LOVED the Vampire Nest, though threatening to choke me with my scarf? Now now, don't play into kinks. ;) Really though here was a lot of fun. I loved the circling of the scarecrows who played with you and the bubba's out in the middle of nowhere who wanted to eat us. All in all, everyone embraced their character and gave us 110% on such a chilly night. The fire afterwards was perhaps the all-star though!

Rob K.

Yelp
I'm speechless. Truly the scariest place on earth. It says so on my T-shirt. And my ticket. And the signs.

Bill B.

Yelp
We came here for the Xmas hayride. The ride has not changed in several years. That's not to say that it is bad. The ride has bench seats and no hay. Older bones like this. It's about a 15 min ride has nice lights and music. We like the fire pits. You can sit and get warm if it's cold. They sell s'mores kits which are a big hit.

Nicole M.

Yelp
When we approached the attraction I was so excited to be here after missing out on the Halloween festivities last year. The long lines had me pumped remembering how much fun I had in past years. I've come here about six times and this year I was very underwhelmed with all of it. The hayride, trail, and house need some revamping as some of the content stayed the same as previous years. Even the photo area had the same props (coffins and a pew). Going through each of the areas I left unenthusiastic and wanted a more thrilling experience. All-in-all, more space needs to be between patrons as the people in front of me benefited almost every time, and a lot more actors are necessary based on the size of the establishment. Kudos to the actors dressed as snakes and the man dressed as a camouflaged tree! Also whatever team does the make-up for the actors should also be recognized for their efforts. Making plans to visit around Christmas for the holiday hayride!

Courtney S.

Yelp
Our group of 8 visited on November 1st, the last night. It had been raining all day and we were questioning whether the haunt would be open. I was impressed with the staff laying more straw down on the wet muddy paths for safety, along with covid precautions in place as well. This year, the hayride was a walking path instead. THIS was a much more enjoyable attraction walking through. We were able to appreciate the scene details along with the actors who were thoughtfully placed and so full of energy for it being the last day. I hope they keep this a walking trail. The Scarecrow attraction was a decent time consumer, the actors dressed to blend in were awesome for the jump scare! The flying actors were a nice touch too. The motel itself is always well decorated and diverse scenes within. This has been a MUST see year after year.

Kathy C.

Yelp
I took my kids, niece and nephew last night, ages 12 -22 and had an absolute blast! Has to go down in my book as one of my most fun and favorite nights!! It was great seeing all the kids have so much fun. I screamed and laughed so much that I feel like my endorphins are still jumping around today!! I would actually love to work at this place!! It's top of the line, Halloween fun. Nothing else will compare and will be hard going anywhere else but here. Absolutely, positively, without a doubt recommend this place if you like going through haunted houses and hayrides for Halloween. Do the hayride first, then trail and last the haunted house. You won't be disappointed. I would give it more stars if I could

Lauren S.

Yelp
My husband and I have been coming here every year pretty much for the past 10 years or so. This is definitely in my top 3 favorite haunted attractions, possibly even my favorite out of all the places we have been to, and we have been to every place on the 13 haunts list and then some. Bates definitely is one of the most animated haunted attractions with different actors or props popping out at you every moment. The attention to detail with the design of each room and set is amazing also. I like that they are open every day of the week during Halloween season so we don't have to fight crowds on weekends. There's one little thing that irked me this year however. The people on the hayride with us were extremely obnoxious. A bunch of people in front of us had their cell phones out and were taking photos, taking selfies, texting, and who knows what else. It kind of ruined the mood. They were also shining their cell phone lights on the actors so we didn't have as many come over to us trying to scare us as other years. Someone should have confiscated their cell phones. Also, I would like to see the sets change more each year. I noticed maybe a couple new rooms in the haunted house and maybe one new thing on the hayride but that's it, everything else is the same year after year.

V G.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to go to come Halloween time. The property is clean and very well organized. The main three attractions are all very detailed and spooky, but I cannot speak for the others as I haven't tried them. You can easily spend several hours here. My only complaint is that the no-smoking rule does not seem to be enforced. It's bothersome to customers when other patrons smoke cigarettes on lines. When they're done with their smoke, they toss the cigarette to the ground as well.

Jessica S.

Yelp
I had a great time with my friends at the Bates Motel this Halloween season! I wasn't sure what to expect, but for 40 bucks for the combo ticket, I was hoping it would be worth it. I would say it was! The combo ticket is definitely recommended since you can do all 3 of the attractions- the motel, the hayride, and the corn maze. I was really impressed with the props, the actors, and just the intricacy and detail they put into the whole thing. The hayride definitely impressed me the most, but the other 2 were fun also. It wasn't crazy scary but it was still entertaining. We went on a weeknight so the lines were not too long, though towards the end of the night, we did wait about 30 min for the last attraction. I will say it was a little annoying since we bought weekend tickets which are pricier and then it rained the last weekend it opened, which is when we were planning to go. We only had the option of going on a weekday at that point since they close on Halloween, which would have been cheaper and we could have used a coupon. Regardless, it was a fun night to get yourself into the Halloween spirit!

Mary D.

Yelp
What a blast we had last night! We read plenty of reviews for Bates at Arasapha Farms and considered going. The terrific Groupon deal confirmed the plans. Because it had been raining so much, we wore our rain boots in preparation for slogging through farm mud. This was unnecessary as the facility was surprisingly dry. The grounds are well-maintained, neat and in good repair. The food, although basic, was good and not incredibly over-priced. Dunkin Donuts was passing out samples of pumpkin spice coffee, and a fresh donut stand was available and smelled divine. The people at Arasapha Farms offer a well-organized and top-shelf event. Checking in with eTickets was fast and easy. Crowd control has been finely tuned (although the World Series and rain kept a lot of people away yesterday). The personnel and actors are incredible. The settings and themes are high quality and well thought out. I cannot say enough great things about the level of service and pleasantness of everyone who worked there. First, we went through the Bates House with its creepy sound and special effects and masterful sets. The actors were ghoulish and popped out with enthusiastic shouts and light hair touching. Except for hands that reach out to grab ankles briefly, the actors only interact and sometimes follow guests and engage with them down the halls. The Haunted Corn Trail was terrific. Guests follow the path along a corn field and several sheds and a barn. The actress with the chainsaw at the end of the trail gets extra kudos. Hilariously scary and enthusiastic. I won't give away the details. She had everyone screaming and racing out of the place. Well done! The Haunted Hay Ride was our favorite of the three. Guest sit in a wagon and are taken through an impressively long series of well-crafted scary scenes with pyrotechnics, sound and light effects and a host of ghouls, werewolves, maniacs, and psychopaths running up and jumping onto the sides of the wagon. Outstanding experience. We will definitely be back for future Halloweens and will bring a group.

Yelp
This was my first time coming here and I did enjoy myself. I purchased the $40 ticket that includes all 3 attractions. A little unrelated, but it was a little scary driving here at night because there are no lights on the road. And parking is a mess, there were tons of employees directing drivers but it was messy nonetheless. Now let's get spooky... We started with the hayride which had very little hay lol. They pack these to the max so be prepared for a very snug ride. There were some scary moments/ props throughout this ride. One thing I was surprised by is that the actors touch you, I thought that wasn't allowed. Also, they tend to get very close to your face and shout loudly, which got annoying fast. It lasted about 20-25 mins. Next was the trail, and from the very beginning it was scary. I really enjoyed the graphics. They timed the groups perfectly so it seemed we were in the field by ourselves and that made it all the more scary. This was my favorite attraction because I jumped many times so I know it was good. Last was the motel, and it was a major disappointment for me. They were letting ppl in too fast, it was literally a line. So you really couldn't get scared because you already saw the actors jumping out in front of the ppl ahead of us. And no Norman Bates, what is the Bates Motel without Norman? Definitely my least favorite attraction. I would have enjoyed it much more if it wasn't so rushed and I had time to enjoy the props and actors. Anywho, I would recommend this as a fun night to enjoy with friends and family. It's great for ppl of all ages, I saw kids as young as 8/9. Probably would be better to go on a weekday when it's not as packed.

Yelp
Was disappointed overall. The walkthrough barely had any actors, mostly props and animatronics. They let a ton of people into the walkthrough at once, so my group felt like we had to hurry through as to not get trampled by the people behind us. The Bates motel was slightly below average as well. Overall it was highly Disappointing and not worth the money.

Yelp
Halloween Season !!! Best time to get an adrenaline rush and enjoy some spookiness ! Before I go into detail, I would just like to say I thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone there for the same reason I was, to feel the "spirit/s". If you've never been to haunted house before, you definitely have to come visit Bates Motel. It's not freakishly scary, to the point where you have goosebumps the whole night, but it's scary enough to have you screaming a few times. The decor and effort of the actors was amazing. I absolutely loved seeing how fully in character they were and I was in awe at how much effort it must have took for the designs to be put in place. This is family friendly, I saw a lot of different aged children there. The corn maze and haunted hay ride were a little less scary. They were however, fun in their own way. One the corn maze, I was again amazed at the trail, and the scary props everywhere. It was really fun because some of the actors looked like props and when they "came to life" it was pretty scary. The hay ride was a much needed, since we did it at the end of the night. We got to enjoy laughing and screaming with other visitors and got a pretty cool tour of the farm. I did all these activities for 40$, I believe to do a single activity is 15$. Personally, it was so worth it to get me into the Halloween spirit. My only concern about the night were the long lines. When it got really cold at night, the long lines were tedious. They did the best to accommodate and made sure everyone got their money's worth of activity. I would just recommend that they put music on to entertain us while we're standing in line. I went on a Saturday, maybe a weekday can help you avoiding the long wait !

Yelp
So good!! They really put effort into giving you a good scare. We went on a Tuesday night and it wasn't packed. They left enough room in between groups so that a scare doesn't get ruined. My boyfriend is rarely scared and was actually so scared at one point he ran away from me. I would highly recommend. Bring an extra pair of pant just in case!

Yelp
One of the monsters in the haunted hayride body slammed me in the back so hard last night that it knocked the wind out of me and my back is still really hurting. What the hell are they thinking? The haunted stuff is elaborate but isn't scary. They need to take a lesson from the Ghoullog in New Hampshire. So, I drove almost 2 hours and paid for something as scary as a Disney ride and to get physically attacked and hurt. Thanks. Well they saw my review on Facebook and passed over it without even apologizing. They did acknowledge the good reviews though. They obviously don't care about people who got hurt. Still hurts.

Yelp
If you do this the correct way, it is a fun experience. To start "the correct way" means buying the VIP tickets. At a very busy time we ripped through all attractions with very little wait on a very busy Saturday night. Parking was well managed and the lines were long but by using the VIP tickets, the lines were not an issue. Went through the hotel first, it was more cute than scary, one guy did get me, but overall I thought it was pretty well done. The hayride was really cool. We sat in the far right corner closest to the tractor and got most of the action. All of the actors seemed to come up to our side and up at the front. We didn't go through the forest, but over thought the up change for VIP was way worth it.

Yelp
Attended the "Psychpath" walk-through of the renowned hayride, and also the Bates Motel haunted house last night around 8:30. It was even more fantastic than ever. Walking through the wooded haunted trail was spectacular! Even with the mask requirement and the staff having to keep their distance, this is a can't miss experience for Halloween. Worth every penny, and even double.

Yelp
Do not waste your time. Luckily we found a Groupon for a discount on tickets. I would have been highly disappointed paying full price for this mediocre half a**ed "haunted" attraction. They got rid of the hayride but still had groups of like 15 people walking together. The staff blew. The props were horrible. I would not recommend this place. My four year old nephew would have laughed. Save your money.

Yelp
I had such good memories for this place and went this weekend. Very disappointed. Didn't get scared even once and it seems to be geared for middle schoolers. The walk throughs were short and there was no hayride.. just a Walk through of where the hayride used to be. Waste of money in my opinion especially since we got vip tickets.

Yelp
Seriously the best night. Paid extra for the VIP pass which was totally worth it. Lucky enough to go on a beautiful evening. I can't remember screaming and laughing so hard. Voice today is sore. It's unbelievable how much thought and time must go in to preparing this event. Incredible detail from animatronic to the actors makeup. The hayride alone is filled with so much to look at. I can't wait to go next year. Highly recommend

Yelp
Don't waste your time or money. Lots of props but NOT scary at all. Definitely a disappointment! If you're looking for scary, horror this isn't it. Overpriced and overrated!!

Yelp
I'm glad I gave this place a try. I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, based on some reviews. I would say, all-in-all, I had a blast! I went with my sister and we did the Haunted Hayride and the Bates Motel and enjoyed both. We had the 3 ticket combo, but decided against the trail (it was already about 10:30 when the final attraction concluded). Let's see. The price was about what I expected to pay. With the coupon, we got 3 tickets to 3 attractions for $30. I think that's actually a deal considering what you get. Both the Hotel and hayride were not short attractions, which made up for the long waits. The hotel line was about 30-35 minutes of waiting and the hayride was maybe 20 minutes of waiting. Each had to be about 20-25 minutes. With the hotel the shorter of the two. In terms of the attractions themselves: I was really impressed with the sets they used in the rooms in the hotel and the hayride. They weren't necessarily dusty or outdated, as I had read in some reviews. Not from what I could tell at least. And let me tell you. Those actors are DEDICATED. One guy semi-crawled up a wall to scare us and then (politely? lol) opened a door for us to the next room. There was another actor who swung over our heads at some point in the night. I don't know if it was a from a rope or harness or what. I was shocked that they would perform such acrobatic feats for a scare. Worth it to see! The hayride in the woods was fantastic. I mean the sets, to me, were movie-esque. And people come up to the sides of tractor to scare you. I really enjoyed seeing other people get scared. I'm not really jumpy or easily scared, although some people did catch me off guard a couple times. No screams though. So basically: Pros: You will have fun. We went a couple days before Halloween and the atmosphere is cool. Cons: Maybe the prices. But try to get a discount or a coupon somehow. Overall a great experience! I'd go back next year.
