Parade Gardens, a Grade II listed park, is Bath's most centrally located pleasure garden, offering stunning views. Situated next to the River Avon, it provides picturesque vistas of the iconic Pulteney Bridge and its weir.
Originally part of Bath Abbey's orchard, it was formally laid out as a pleasure ground in 1709. It served as a public space for spa visitors and residents.
The gardens are renowned for their vibrant and meticulously maintained floral displays, including unique three-dimensional carpet bedding in summer. They often win awards in national competitions like "Britain in Bloom."
Key features include a historic bandstand, which hosts concerts throughout the summer, and a café. It offers ample seating and paved paths for leisurely strolls.
Parade Gardens is a popular spot for both tourists and locals, providing a tranquil escape in the heart of the city, just a short walk from Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. As of April 2025, entry fees have been temporarily removed, making it more accessible.
