Good option if you use it over 2 days for 1 ticket
Decided on our last day in Paris on Tuesday, 22nd July 2025, to travel to the Eiffel Tower and take a River Cruise on the Batobus boat. Having checked out the river cruise options, we decided to select the Hop on/Hop Off Batobus as we wanted to use the service to visit a couple of locations on the route, but in truth, you could do this more easily and cost-effectively via the Metro. As it was, we went to the Batobus ticket booth and purchased 2 tickets at 23 Euro each. There was no map provided or available, as the member of staff said to take a photo of the map poster, and I had to pay using a card as the cashier had no change available. Once we started queuing, we were informed it would be a 45-minute wait as a boat had broken down. This is a negative aspect of this type of service, as in truth, there is no motivation to provide a regular service, as once you purchase your ticket, you have to accept what is on offer, unlike a normal Seine cruise, where you would select the one leaving sooner. As it was, once the boat arrived, most passengers exited at this stop. Once on the boat, as listed, there is no commentary (this is like the Uber Boats on the Thames tbh, but unlike them, there are no toilets or refreshments on board). We exited at the Notre Dame stop and then re-joined at the same stop (Most passengers seem to enter and exit at either the Eiffel Tower or Notre Dame). Option to sit or stand inside or stand in an open area at the boat's rear end. The ticket lasts 24 hours, so I suggest you purchase it at say 1700 so you can enjoy a night-time cruise and see the city at night, and then you will have all day till 1700 the following day to do the same for all or part of the cruise during the daytime.
