Battambang Resort

We stayed in this resort last week and loved it. It's an oasis of tranquility a short distance out of Battambang city. The pool area is beautiful and there is a small lake. We had a lakeside room which was large and we couldn't fault it in any way. The staff were all lovely and ehay find we ate there, we really enjoyed. The resort offer a free tuk tuk service into the city and it is a $3 U.S. fare back to the resort. We did a private transfer from there to Siem Reap which was arranged via the hotel. The vehicle was luxury and considerably cheaper than we could book on line. We had an amazing day touring with a lovely tuk tuk driver, also arranged via the hotel.

[A first full review] Battambang Resort is one of those places that quietly wins your heart if you give a try when you’re out in Battambang town. I’ve visited several times with friends mainly for dining, and each visit has been a pleasant experience. The resort is located a little outside the city, so the moment you reach there, you feel a calm and peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by palm trees and tropical garden views. It gives a nice village feeling, away from the noise and busy streets of Battambang. The food here has always been consistently good. We’ve tried various dishes over different visits, and I’ve never really had a complaint. Everything feels fresh and well-prepared. They also offer BBQ options if you are planning a small party or gathering. You can pre-order and they will arrange everything nicely. We paid around $15 per person, and it felt worth it. They also have many types of beers and even their own house beer brand. I didn’t get a chance to try it, but I’ve heard from others that it’s actually quite good. One thing I really love about the resort is the pool. It’s clean, well-kept, and has a relaxing vibe. The rooms are built around the pool and near the small lake, which looks especially nice during the rainy season when everything is green and full of life. I haven’t stayed overnight myself, but I did have a look at the rooms, and they are nicely set up simple, cozy, and blended well with the natural environment. The atmosphere becomes even more beautiful at night. The lighting around the garden, the reflection on the lake, and the quiet surroundings make it a really peaceful place to sit and enjoy your meal or drinks. Have fun!

The rooms are simple but spotlessly clean and provide a comfortable stay. The central bar and restaurant, set beautifully by the lake and pool, offers excellent food and well-made cocktails. While the breakfast buffet is somewhat limited, there are plenty of à la carte options to choose from. We especially enjoyed the creative vegetarian dishes they prepared for the BBQ, which were a thoughtful and delicious touch.

What a beautiful hotel. It is a little haven. We were able to totally unwind and relax. The service is excellent and the food is delicious and affordable. The breakfast is the best we have had at any hotel. The rooms are beautiful. I would highly recommend a lake view room.

We had a great stay at Battambang Resort—an excellent hotel with a peaceful setting just outside the town. The pool was clean and perfect for cooling off, and the rooms were spacious and well-maintained. We stayed in both garden and lakeview rooms, and would definitely recommend going for the lakeview if available—much nicer outlook and atmosphere. The restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was tasty. A small note: portions at lunch and dinner could be a little more generous. We also had a minor issue with electricity in one room, but it was fixed very quickly by the staff, which we appreciated. A lovely bonus for families was the mini golf course—our kids loved it, and we ended up playing three times! As for Battambang town itself, we weren’t hugely inspired by it, so wouldn’t recommend spending too long there. The resort, however, was a real highlight—calm, welcoming, and a great place to relax. Would definitely recommend for families or anyone wanting a quieter base with great service.

Can’t comment on the rooms as we only came for drinks and dinner, but the service and food was delicious! The generous options of yummy and reasonably priced Belgian beers was a plus. I highly recommend the fish amok.

A little ways from downtown Battambang the resort has a beautiful decor with simple rooms. There is a free tuk tuk to the city which helps. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Great resort with lovely pool/ garden and nice little bar/ restaurant. Rooms were comfortable and clean. All services as described and in good condition. Beds comfortable and aircon effective. Staff and owners very helpful and friendly. A little out of town but we were happy to stay at the resort in the evenings as we had been out sightseeing seeing all day. Great oasis.
