[A first full review] Battambang Resort is one of those places that quietly wins your heart if you give a try when you’re out in Battambang town.
I’ve visited several times with friends mainly for dining, and each visit has been a pleasant experience. The resort is located a little outside the city, so the moment you reach there, you feel a calm and peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by palm trees and tropical garden views. It gives a nice village feeling, away from the noise and busy streets of Battambang.
The food here has always been consistently good. We’ve tried various dishes over different visits, and I’ve never really had a complaint. Everything feels fresh and well-prepared. They also offer BBQ options if you are planning a small party or gathering. You can pre-order and they will arrange everything nicely. We paid around $15 per person, and it felt worth it. They also have many types of beers and even their own house beer brand. I didn’t get a chance to try it, but I’ve heard from others that it’s actually quite good.
One thing I really love about the resort is the pool. It’s clean, well-kept, and has a relaxing vibe. The rooms are built around the pool and near the small lake, which looks especially nice during the rainy season when everything is green and full of life. I haven’t stayed overnight myself, but I did have a look at the rooms, and they are nicely set up simple, cozy, and blended well with the natural environment.
The atmosphere becomes even more beautiful at night. The lighting around the garden, the reflection on the lake, and the quiet surroundings make it a really peaceful place to sit and enjoy your meal or drinks.
Have fun!
