UPDATE 07/07/24: Turns out after trekking here the Boot was closed. I thought they were open 'rain and shine'? What happened to that? Maybe it's my fault that I didn't check the website before but I was well aware of the rule that weather doesn't affect the opening. It doesn't matter if it was raining yesterday, surely they have a team who's able to sort out any 'flooding' since it's a popular market that's been open for years. --- Why are walk-in sellers charged £10 when you might not even be able to make a profit? (Also, customers don't know the value of items and want everything extremely low priced). Think it's ridiculous and £5 is a much fairer price. I'm sure they make a lot of money from the amount of people that go in as buyers? Seems extortionate. Staff aren't a friendly bunch, especially the woman who takes in money from the sellers for a pitch. She is GHASTLY and ABHORRENT and is probably senile too, so I don't understand why she is offered the job to charge stallholders here.

Google
Large car boot sale with plenty of stalls. If you are looking for clothes there is a good offering of vintage, high street and designer items. Buzzing atmosphere, friendly sellers and generally well organised.

The weather was bad when we went, but the vendors were there ......rain or shine they set up throughout the year......every sunday from 1pm to 5pm..... bringing an interesting selection of antiques, second-hand and new items. Something for everyone. Extremely good prices. Go early

A wonderful boot sale on the school grounds. You can buy branded clothes, shoes, books, interior items and just things of your interest. The sellers are very kind, they can tell the whole story of the items and give discounts. The staff is attentive and friendly. There is a toilet on the territory (though it is not always clean, but this is only a question for visitors and their self-respect). It would be nice to ban smoking on the territory. After all, this is a school and the number of cigarette butts on the ground at the end of the sale is perplexing. Cleanliness is not where they clean, but cleanliness is where they do not litter. I recommend visiting. I enjoyed shopping.

We went at 13:30 and we paid £1 person. The place is not that big and we didn’t really buy that much. They sell many clothes , bags, shoes, etc.. Some of the sellers told us some prices that it was way more expensive than buying it online. So you should be careful for that.

Visited Battersea Bootsale for the first time last week having heard about it for years and my wife was interested to see if it was an option for us to sell at next month and I have to say it was pretty underwhelming. We attended as 1.30pm customers as frankly I think charging £7 or £3 (depending on entry time) to enter a sale early is ridiculous and frankly unwarranted at this particular bootsale due to the size and what's being sold. As we arrived we saw plenty of people exiting without having bought anything which is always a bad sign. Once in it became clear why as what we found here was 90% traders, mostly selling clothing and sadly quite a lot of it counterfeit which isn't ideal. The bootsale is quite small but they do pack a lot in due to a large number of suitcase sellers who pay to sell from a rug and the sale has a relaxed atmosphere so it would be a good place to sell at if you were local, actually selling household stuff and it weren't for all the other sellers operating as a business. Personally I dislike this kind of bootsale as there is rarely a bargain to be had as all the regular seller will buy up anything of value before you even pay your entry fee so you might as well stay at home and order on eBay as that's the pricing you will find here. On more than one occasion we were presented with the phrase "This is how much they sell on eBay" from sellers which absolutely grinds my gears as it's rarely the truth as they don't know how to use eBay also I haven't travelled across London at my own expense and paid entry to be told I could buy the same item at the same price on eBay (or actually cheaper as is often the case). I've read that this sale used to be much bigger so perhaps the reputation stems from that but in it's current size it's not really worth your time or effort when there are better sales in London to sell / buy at e.g. Chiswick, Roehampton

Battersea Car Booty holds a special place in my heart after 17 years of selling there. The team behind the scenes is nothing short of remarkable. They go above and beyond to accommodate sellers, making the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. Their dedication to professionalism and customer service is evident in every interaction. But it’s more than just business; it’s a community. Over the years, I’ve forged connections with fellow sellers and buyers alike, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that keeps me coming back. From the moment I arrive to set up my stall to the end of the day when I pack up, I feel supported and valued by the Battersea Car Booty team. Their hard work and dedication make it possible for sellers like me to thrive. If you’re looking for a place to sell your treasures or just enjoy a day browsing unique finds, look no further than Battersea Car Booty. It’s more than just a market; it’s a home away from home for anyone passionate about the art of buying and selling.

Yelp
I love Battersea Boot. You can buy everything from Scrimshaw, to jewelry, to used clothes, to essential household goods like crock pots. I would go as far as to say that if you are patient enough and shopped here every Sunday, you could feather your nest and clothe yourself entirely from Battersea Boot. Then, when your place starts to look like more of a boot fair than a home, gather it all up and sell it all back to the punters at Battersea. It costs £10 for a space in the carpark-- £3 extra if you want to rent a table too. The entrance fee for shoppers is a bit more complicated: To enter before noon pay £5--I would not recommend this because many of the vendors are not set up yet. To enter at noon pay £3--This is worth it. Most vendors are set up and you get first grabs. If you want to wait until 1:30 you only pay 50p--there's still a lot of junk left and you can spend the money you save on an ice cream cone or a boot fair breakfast.

Yelp
Went a seller, left disappointed. Hardly made any sales, worst ever for me. It's busy but mainly with very low class buyers that expect to be able to buy everything for 50p. I suppose that is the risk you take but what annoyed me is that they advertise with opening times until 5pm, floodlights in winter etc. It is nonsense, they really want you gone by 4pm at the VERY latest. The reminders start much earlier and are not gentle. I didn't think that was acceptable, when, as a walk in seller, you are only allowed to bring one bag (so you could pack up in 5 minutes) and you can only start at 1pm.

Yelp
We walked to Battersea Car Boot Sale after a disappointing experience at Capital Car Boot. When we got there we found that if we waited half an hour we'd be able to get in for just 50p. So we killed some time just down the road in a lovely but expensive Italian cafe (Caffetino) and had some food and coffee then headed back to check out the boot fair. Lots of stalls, all pretty full even at 1.30 in the afternoon and mainly very reasonably priced. There were piles to rummage through if you felt like it, or you could head for the neater clothes on rails. As well as clothes there was a good selection of china, jewellery and odd bits and bobs, including a 1975 Star Wars pencil case and a necklace with what looked like a golden prune hanging on it! The best thing to shop for seemed to be mens shoes, there was an amazing selection of beautiful brogues, creepers and leather boots on one stall. I bought a gorgeous hallmarked silver ring with a stone that looks like moonstone set in it for just £10. It's rare for me to find rings that fit my tiny fingers so I was super happy.

Yelp
Every Sunday throughout the year in the car park of a technology college in Battersea, traders and buyers flock to get rid of their unwanted items or pick up several bags of bargains. In central London car boot sales are few to none, it is difficult to understand why when you see the huge mass of people queuing up every Sunday lunchtime. There is a lot of rubbish on sale here as with all car boot sales, surprisingly people will buy almost anything, the cheaper and the tackier the better. For the quality finds, however, get there early and buy quickly. Some people love car boot sales, some people hate them. If you fall more towards the latter category then do not even bother thinking about going. If however, you find the thought that some unknowing person out there is getting ready to sell their valuable possessions for pittance too hard to resist then head to Battersea Car Boot Sale and see what you can find.

Yelp
ITS GONE DOWNHILL!! Went 3 years ago and was really pleased. Went last Sunday and paid £35 for a premium pitch. As I drove in I was directed to the back, so I got out of the car to ask if I could go to the front. There was a man with BOSS written on his jacket. He proceeded to tell me not to get out of my car, and although i explained that i have paid for a premium pitch, he was so rude to me and ordered me to listen to him, and park where he said. I was so shocked. I again asked him if I could go nearer the entrance and again he completely ignored me. It seems that the better locations are reserved for favorites!!! The people who now come are not the same. Trying to sell for £3 and above was hard, and I have very good quality items. I noticed that a lot of the regular good sellers were not there, and most of the stuff was not that good. I have noticed that you can no longer leave a review either, so I suspect that the people who run it are doing a very bad job., and clearly have no customer service skills, and its showing. I didn't make as much money as the first 2 times, so will never go back. Sellers dont waste your money. Its now like any other car boot sale. Such a shame!!!
