Definitely worth a visit. I did not try cabane since it wasn't in the budget but swam alittle on the right and walked alot to the left and saw the rock thingies as well as paradise Beach next door. The rain was an added bonus.

This is a fairly small and not crowded beach. You can get sunbeds for $10 USD per person from the lifeguard if you want, but it's not mandatory. There is only the nearby restaurant and drinks are very expensive there, so make sure to bring your own. One thing to be careful of is that the trees where the restaurant is, are the very toxic manchineel trees - you can see those marked with a red painted band. The trees on the right side of the beach are not dangerous and you can sit under their shade safely. The other thing to be careful of is the sea urchins on the rocks next to the restaurant. Stay away from that unless you're absolutely confident of what you're doing. There's a large unpaved parking lot nearby, though keep in mind many people come to that restaurant for lunch so you might struggle to find space around that time. Having said that, it was an enjoyable day for us and would recommend it as long as you keep in mind all of the above.

Very beautiful beach that not many know of. There is a restaurant and bar near this post of the beach that is convenient. There are showers for after enjoying the sand and sun. The ZR is not too far of a walk from here making it easy to access. Take a picture on the swings nearby

It cannot be stated enough that the west coast of Barbados has absolutely stunning turquoise water. Batts Rock Beach is surely no exception to that statement. The water was exactly what I was seeking, warm and blue! There is plenty of space on the beach to find a spot, but I would advise on staying on the opposite side where the restaurant is. There is parking in the back with plenty of spots. Be aware that there are some little green apple looking fruits that fall from the trees, those are poisonous and harmful to touch, there is a sign that states it but we missed it. Leaving the area around 5:00 PM was a nightmare, the traffic was on another level. Took us an hour and a half to get from the beach to our hotel south of Oistins.

Batts Rock Beach is a stunning Caribbean beach that offers the perfect combination of inviting sea, stunning scenery, and the ideal beach vacation climate. The beach is located in the Saint James district of Barbados and is known for its calm and clear waters. The beach is relatively small and quiet, with plenty of trees for shade (but be aware they are marked with red stripe -they are poisonous). The beach is also a spot for average snorkeling, (unfortunately close to shore the coral was damaged and mostly dead). There is an area of the beach that has a lot of rocks, but those can be avoided by walking down a little way. If you hungry you can find the fantastic La Cabane beach restaurant there.

Lovely, quiet spot away from the crowds, with restrooms and showers, as well as La Cabane nearby for snacks ($$$). The beach is a free public access, plenty of parking.
