Batu Karang Lembongan Resort (Nusa Lembongan, Bali) 2 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It’s not Bali, technically, but it’s perhaps all the better for that. Batu Karang Lembongan is a half-hour’s speedboat ride from the east coast of Bali proper, on the island of Nusa Lembongan, and this precise level of proximity turns out to be the sweet spot. In climate, in culture, and in natural gifts it’s essentially identical, but what it leaves out are the crowds. This is more or less what it felt like to visit Bali when the tourism boom was just picking up pace — and if you’ve been to Bali lately you’ll have no trouble imagining the appeal." - Tablet Hotels

We arrived at Batu Karang from Sanur using the Kai Koa speed boat (a must if you are worried about using the cattle market fast ferries!) we were dropped on the beach and greeted by Batu staff who took our luggage and then escorted us to the resort. Check in was straightforward and we were in our room in no time at all. Welcome drink on arrival was well needed. Golf buggy upto our room (villa 6 and 7 interconnecting) lovely size with outdoor shower and tub, stunning terrace with views to die for! Rooms well appointed, front door was abit of a pain to close on our villa but not the end of the world. 3 pools, the main one down by the restaurant (gets sun till late afternoon but does close at 4pm to make way for evening dining which was one slight negative for the sun worshipper in our family!) 2 more pools up top, a pool bar and lap pool with day beds, very shady up top but comfortable. Had a gym and spa but we didn’t visit so can’t comment. Staff were helpful and drinks and food very nice. Location is brilliant, some bars and restaurants on the main peninsula and then the beach 5 mins walk for perfect sun downers and food. Plenty of shops near by behind the beach. Lembongan is stunning and if you are looking for a quality resort there isn’t really much competition for Batu Karang!

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa (villa 8) for almost a week it was absolutely beautiful!!! Our villa was Balinese style with an outdoor bathroom and the most stunning views over the surf breaks. The resort is gorgeous with 3 beautiful pools, steam room and ice bath. Staff are great and always offered us a ride up to our villa in the golf buggy’s which made it a lot easier than walking up stairs. We used the spa many times and all treatments were fantastic. Meals were excellent too! |The minor downsides I can find is that the villa entry door needs replacing as we felt it wasn’t as private as we wanted, we could hear and see people walk past through the crack (it’s an old Balinese door). The window in the back of the shower didn’t feel very private either but might not bother everyone.|And no room service but there is a pool bar (would love to see Coke Zero and carbonara added to menu).|Overall our stay was amazing and pure relaxation. Possibly one of our favourite places to stay in Bali. The location is the best on the island, close to town and restaurants. Highly recommend this resort, we loved it!!!

Absolutely loved our 5 night stay at Batu Karang. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The room and view was beautiful. Breakfast was really tasty and the most beautiful setting. I also had a really great Balinese massage in the spa. The walk up the hill can start to get a bit old after a few days but the staff are always willing to give you a lift on a buggy. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend to others.

We stayed at the Bath Karang, after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. |It definitely lived up to our high expectations. We paid extra to stay in a one bed villa and glad we did; it was very large, super clean, tastefully decorated with an amazing sea view. There was an outdoor shower and bath with a view of the beach. |Service was faultless and everyone was warm and friendly. |We spent most days by the main pool next to reception as that was our favourite. |If you want dinner at The Deck, pre book as it’s gets busy. We ate in both the Deck and Muntigs. The food at both was excellent. In fact, the Singapore noodles I had at Muntigs was my favourite dish from the whole of my holiday. Amazing! |We walked down to the beach (where the boat drops you off) some evenings, we also walked along the Main Street (runs parallel to the beach) and had a coffee in one of the coffee shops. They also have some good surf shops along there if you need any new clotheslip flops etc. |if you turn left out of the hotel and follow the path to the end, it takes you to a small beach where the surfers swim out from. There is a great coffee shop there. They also seemed to rent surf bards from a place on the beach too. Great place to watch the surfers. |We tried a local Mexican restaurant called Casa Bambu, a 10 minute walk away, which I can also highly recommend.

Honest review. I wasn't impressed by the room. The bathroom was incredible but the room quite average. Maybe I expected too much! So that's why I've still given a great rating. The whole team had great attitude and service. Only downside was that the luggage took a long time to be brought to the waiting boat driver so I would say be more prepared than I was!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here! The location was amazing, with beautiful views over the ocean, the room was stunning, and the pool was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the food was fantastic - some of the best we had during our stay. This was one of our favourite places we've ever stayed and would definitely return and recommend to others!

We stayed at this resort for the very first time and were absolutely blown away by how incredibly stunning the place is. Of course, we had high expectations based on the photos — but they were far exceeded. Our ocean-view room was an absolute dream, and the outdoor bathroom was just as amazing. It takes only three minutes in the morning to walk to a small private beach and watch the surfers ride the waves — such a perfect way to start the day. We honestly wish we could have stayed longer because it truly felt like paradise. We’ll definitely be coming back! A heartfelt thank you to all the staff as well — everyone was so warm and helpful.

After being to Bali a few times Lembogan leaves it for dead. Particularly the laid-back yet luxe vibe of Batu Karang. Accom, food, drink & staff all excellent. Very cool waterside whisky bar a plesant surprise. Even with young kids, 10/10 experience
