The hot springs at Mount Batur had a great first impression. The pools were nice, the water was beautiful, and the view was amazing.
That said, once you pay for your ticket it feels a bit like a maze. There aren’t many signs, and it’s confusing to find your way around. The biggest downside for me was the number of flies, which made it hard to relax. The ladies’ shower room was also in poor condition. It wasn’t very clean, and the towels were kept outside, which was inconvenient.
Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but others struggled with communication and even gave the wrong directions when I asked about finding another pool.
Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with a lot of potential, but the facilities and organization need improvement.
