The thumping sound of music greeted us when we arrived. However, as we settled in, the loud sound is no longer an issue! The service was great and not intrusive. The foods were brought out timely. We enjoyed the warm breads, mushroom soups (the hint of puffed wild rice was nice), and dumpling soup. I tried the Bauer White Old Fashioned and it didn't wow me. My wife enjoyed her Bavarian Manhattan and our daughter-in-law liked her Saignee 75. The ratatouille was very good and beautifully presented. The Babushka Pierogies dish was excellent. I ordered the Choucroute Garnie: the sauerkrauts was very good, the accompanied sausage was moist, the boned-in country pork rib was a bit disappointed as it was dried. We asked if the chef was available for a chat and was told that the restaurant is too busy for him to come out (the place was about half full on a Friday night!). Overall, it was a good visit and warranted a 4 out of 5 stars.
