We had the best time at this place after a boat cruise on Zurichsee. Francisco met us as an old friend and made us feel so welcome. He helped us with the menu and the best table with a fantastic view. We came for a quick lunch but ended up staying there for over two hours. Enjoyed every minute, can’t recommend high enough.

One of the best spots in Zurich for a beer and a good time with friends and/or family. Just by the Limmat river where it meets the lake. Lots of space outdoors. Decent bar food. Mostly self service.

Loud busy cool restaurant next to Lake Zurich. As a tourist, you can definitely feel the local summer vibes here. Just grab a beer and enjoy.

Literally excellent! I liked that place so much and it is a wonderful spot to drink and enjoyable chatting with your beloveds!

Google
Terrible place if you like to enjoy a Weissbier! It is served in a regular beer glass, the full experience of the culture regarding how to serve Weissbier is then lost! 9:50 CHF for this serving is wasted money, stay away, go somewere else were they serve Weissbier correct!

Francisco was so lovely advising on the food and drinks. He found a really good table for us. Because of his efforts we stayed over 2 hours and enjoyed every minute.

Busy outdoor seating along the river. Service is poor. Reqire online ordering. Placed order including water: 5 f for .5 l. They brought the food but no water. After I was done eating, I walked to the counter to ask about water. I showed them the online receipt. They said they would have to talk to the manager, who would come to the table. Five minutes later, the manager showed up. I showed him the receipt He said he would take care of it. They brought a glass of tap water. 5 f for a glass of tap water.

Yelp
We choose this place for its water views and it was also located fairly close to where our free walking tour of Zurich ended, and despite the expensive cost, really enjoyed the food and location (guess the $$$ also included the price of the water views!) So there are two parts to this restaurant. The front part is a beer garden with a self service menu and live entertainment, however me and my brother ate at the back restaurant which had table service (and more comfy chairs along with the river view). I got fantastic local lamb chops that came with polenta, and delicious tomato/ eggplant/ bell pepper melange. My bother got local fish that came with a side of spinach and rice. The menu (they had them in English -yay!) had two options for the main course - a small plate and a big plate. We both got the big plate and it was so much food for both of us, that thank god they gave us a doggy bag (the food was too good to be just thrown). We ended up also splitting dessert - the cake was wonderfully warm and rich and nutty and accompanied by excellent ice-cream and fresh cream as well as two coffees. The cost for all this between the two of us came to CHF125 so def way more than we had planned to spend at lunch but service was quick and very pleasant, food was pretty good and views were blissful, so while pleased found this place, the hit to the wallet was unexpected. Oh yeah - also no wifi and only 4 stalls in the ladies loo (!) so there was a line (as usual).

Yelp
Awful and over priced food. The service is terrible! Only thing that is good is the location, you can't go wrong there. Every waitress and waiter ignores you until you order your food on line.... Beware the surprises because nobody will advise you in the plate you are getting. You can't even ask for a glass of water unless it has been order on the website. Again if you want to pay a fortune for bad food and a nice location but I can assure you it's absolutely not worth it.

Yelp
Beautiful location on the water. Food is average. Service is 0 stars - had to ask 3 times, argue once, for our food, then finally got our money back on 2 items because they never arrived.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and the food was great quality! It was nice to find a casual spot in Zurich that served good lunch options. We got the chicken nugget platters - one with fries and one with salad. It was all super tasty, very large portion sizes, and the staff were super quick and friendly! I also loved the atmosphere and the view of the water. We had so much leftover we got to go boxes and brought the rest home.

Yelp
They have music and are right off the crystal clear water of Lake Zurich. There is a self serve cafeteria style section and a section with waitstaff. The Wiener schnitzel was excellent and paired with a hiefeweizen you can't go wrong.

Yelp
Great to hang out for drinks and some simple food from the self-service section outside during the warmer months. I've never been to their Oktoberfest event here, but I've heard it's pretty good.

Yelp
I don't get it. They seat you, they bring your drinks, they bring your dinner, and then they forget you. It's like they're daring you to walk out without paying. This happens everywhere in Switzerland in my experience, so this is more of countrywide review. We had beef filet here and it was very nice with a mushroom sauce. Then the music started, and the dancing. This place has atmosphere.

Yelp
I have to stop at the Baushanzli restaurant or biergarten (depending on the crowds) every time I am in Zurich. This is the largest beer garden in Zurich and it is a great place to sit outdoors in a beautiful day and have a beer or a meal. The beer garden is open April to mid-September. The food is not spectacular in either spot but in this case it is all about location. Located in the center of Zurich on the bank of the river Limmat, you have views of the Swiss Alps, Lake Zurich, and Old Town. There is live music in the afternoons and evenings and concerts at lunchtime on Sunday's. The beer garden is self service and is a fun place to gather with friends before dinner. www.baushaenzli.ch

Yelp
Atmosphere is great! You can sit outside right in the heart of downtown Zurich and watch people pass by while sitting right at the water. There is also live music that plays for people to dance and enjoy. The food is very mediocre at best and the service takes a while. I recommend going to the self serve section.
