"Movie Magic in Bavaria Bavaria Film Studios is to Bavaria what Universal Studios is to California. The 90-minute guided "Filmstadt Complete" tour starts off with movie magic by way of a 4D motion simulation cinema. Your guide then leads you into studios where movies and television series were filmed. Many of the sets are from German movies, which not everyone will be familiar with, but it's still interesting to see how movies are made. The standout of the tour, and a movie that most people will be familiar with, is a visit to part of the Never Ending Story set. If you're lucky, you'll even have a chance to ride Falkor and watch yourself fly over mountains on the screen while listening to the theme song "The Never Ending Stoooooorrrry."

I would suggest to book your ticket in advance and than come in time so you have enough time to hang arround before. The tour takes 2hrs and is really interesting with kids and also to get a real feeling of filming and movies. Also different locations and lots to see and explore. Worth going.

Tour guide was super friendly and she was trying to include everyone in various acts. But the exibitions are not worth paying €23. Parking also cost €8. The tour would not take that long without tour guide.

I got to visit for free for my birthday, so obviously cannot complain. I think for fans of German cinema it is a worthwhile visit - for others, not so much. The tour guides are very friendly though and there are many opportunities to "join in" on the action by acting, but usually this was reserved for the kids. I would not pay 23€ for everything I saw though...

I'll be honest that I only went so I could have a picture of me riding Falkor from the Never Ending Story. Although he was in a room in the courtyard and no longer part of the actual tour. We were there the last week of September 2024. We planned our day around the fact the website stated they offered one English tour at 12pm. Unfortunately, when we got there, they said they had no staff for the English tour. If we had known we could have planned differently. We were able to use the wifi to download their audio tour in English to listen to. It was obvious more information was given in German than on the audio guide. We had a friend with us that knew a little German and told us a few things. The 4D short we were forced to watch made me motion sick. After that we were taken to a spot and waited 10 minutes while our guide ran off to check on something. We were unsure what that was about. Some of the sets were interesting to walk though but most were from older films and not much current. Aside from the NES, it was mostly German films, but that is to be expected. Our friend had seen one or two for them. There were a few "interactive" parts of the tour. The green screen one was entertaining and easy to understand. The one of the other ones, even the Germans didn't seem to understand the point. Not speaking the language made those parts of the tour less enjoyable.

Interesting for people who've seen films which are being discussed. Poor audio guide for English speakers. I liked Das boot installation the most. Everything is really good organized.

The experience is good if your kids are a bit grown up, went with my toddler and couldn't go to some parts due to lack of height (minimum 1.20). The tour is cool and interesting.

The tour is only in German, although you can use your phone with some audios in English. We were looking for some of the models used in the neverending story but they were not there. This is more interesting if you're familiar with German movies and series

Yelp
This park is only the studios tour version of Universal Studios Hollywood. No real rides except a one minute seated trip through a tunnel of historical films made here, one gift shop and an abbreviated McDonald's menu. There is not much to see outside of the small film museum (Atelier) showing photos of past films and the stars that played in them. There is, however a life sized version of The Neverending Story's luck dragon, falkor , that you can pose with for photos. Sorry but this is just a place u go to to say "at least I saw Falkor" from my youth.
