Baxter Theatre Centre

The theatre is very well kept. Clean, safe parking. We attended the Funny festival! Awesome line up.

I was invited to pitch my next book at the Jacana pitch to publication session, which was held at the Baxter theatre. I arrived early and enjoyed a coffee with some sweet things at the restaurant. Everyone at the Baxter was so friendly and engaging.

Great vibe, clean and great shows. I think the walking space between seats could be slightly larger as you will have to sit up everything a person wants to pass. Also maybe add more food vendors? Also an allocated place for parking. Besides those things. Splendid place to go

Had the most amazing experience last night. Went to the jive comedy festival and we had a night of laughter and fun. Staff were helpful, lighting in the area was amazing, our seats were perfect, place was clean and the food that was sold at the stalls were amazing and pricing was not bad at all.

What a stunning performance of Kentridge's Faustus in Africa. Handspring Puppets and actors performed a gripping tale of greed, colonialism and loss.

The Baxter was a new venue for the 2025 Eat Out Restaurant Awards. I was photographing the event for Eat Out. The natural light entering the building made my job easy. Extremely versatile building. It’s a big space and swallowed a large crowd in all the open areas with ease. The garden outside is so beautiful and the open air provides wonderful breathing space.
