Bay Beach Motel

Very popular place, even in off season. Fantastic location. Great staff and friendly management. The food in attached Italian restaurant was fantastic. Like many others, would gladly stay here again.

Sylvie and her team have their Motel rooms exceptionally clean and the pool/grounds pleasant and inviting. The location is perfect. Park the car and walk everywhere. Restaurant on-site is an added bonus. Thank you Sylvie and ladies for your friendly service.

10/10 for the location! Wonderful accommodation in the heart of Byron bay, parking on site means you don’t have to try to find a park in the busy streets and everything is walking distance. Excellent service from booking to check in. We were very happy with the room, room 8. Room is super spacious, clean, very comfy bed, loved the mirrors and the sink in the main room with the shower being separate. Wonderful service throughout our stay. The pool is perfect to sit by and have a swim when the winds pick up of an afternoon.

The photos dont truely represent the online ones, eg the pool in the photo looks like a big lux pool - when you arrive you find it states its only 1.1m deep, so a kids pool that is around 5m long and 2ish m wide The onsite manager demanded my credit card (despite it being booked and paid for via Booking.com). “The power was out” and she was quite rude and basically threatened to cancel our booking - albeit it was the middle of a white out storm on. Friday evening. The following day, i noticed someone had parked behind is in our allocated parking spot (next to a keep clear sign on the pavement. |When i approached the person, she went off her nut that my car wS about 200mm over the line and she couldn’t park her car - despite it saying keep clear. Nonetheless, she went and sought assistance from the manager who identified the lady with the parking issue as the cleaner. When i asked her to move her car into one if the many… 20 other unused car parks i was told no and I was rude. I was abused by the manager for parking 200mm over the line albeit when i parked the nigh before in a storm there was already a car somewhat parked on out space - so a reasonable person would have thought i parked ok. We left a day early albeit paying for a night elsewhere.

Awesome place to stay, right in the middle of Byron, didn’t need a car, walked everywhere. All hotel People so friendly and helpful 10/10. even when there was a power outage and we needed power for iron to iron our clothes for a wedding and charge or phones, boil the kettle and use my hair straightener getting a generator and extension cord was no trouble for them. Breakfast tray for our cereal was also supplied. Suggestions on where to eat were great too.

Fourth time I’ve stayed. Each time always impressed by the professionalism of Sylvie and the team. It is my first choice in Byron for short to long stays. Convenient. Clean. With the rooms having everything needed for a comfortable experience. On a particular note, I lost my phone on the beach. Without a hesitation, Sylvie helped me for the best part of two hours. Until the police emailed her notifying it had been handed in. I’m back tonight. One of many more im sure. Thanks Sylvie and team! ❤️

Not bad for what it is! Great location right off the beach (though not directly overlooking it as there is a street in between). We needed a spot the day of for 4 people and rented a room with a queen bed and a couple of single bunks. The price was reasonable and the balcony wrapped around two sides of the building making for a nice place to unwind and sip on a drink after a long day at the beach. Couple of cons: They charge $25 if you do not clean your dishes, but provides no dish soap or sponges to get the job done. We're we supposed to bring our own? Seemed like an easy way to make an extra $25 and I really hope it went to the housekeeper not the owner! Also there is a higher end pizza/Italian joint adjoined to the building we never ended up trying because the smell of dead fish or trash permeated upward from the rear of the restaurant to our room. Overall, great in a pinch but if you're planning ahead I might try one of the nicer spots located right on the beach.

Lovely position walkable to town and the beach. Friendly staff. Cool aircon. Pool and popular BBQ area. Have to pay for wifi which is frustrating. Apart from that not a bad place to stay.
