I just returned from a girls getaway and stayed at this beach resort. Overall, it was a nice visit and the staff were top notch. They were extremely friendly, outgoing, and made sure that everything was in order. The beach is quite nice and well maintained. The water obstacle course was a blast (4 women in their 50's who couldn't resist trying to pretend we were in our 20's). The food was good, although limited in selection. We didn't get the inclusion of food in our package but still had a few breakfasts and one dinner there. The breakfast buffet was a little expensive so we chose to eat at a beach restaurant called Spinnakers which was more reasonable in price. ||Here are a few of the areas that could be improved:||1. Pool was dirty. The water was not clear and had sunscreen all over the surface (looked like gasoline). The pool floor had not been cleaned in a while so we avoided it altogether. They ended up closing the pool after another guest complained. I'm not sure if that's what it takes for them to maintain the pool, but it was cleaner by the time we left (we still didn't want to go in though).|2. NOISE pool side. There is a covered outdoor concert area just outside the resort. Concerts happen every Saturday night, and they are extremely loud if you have a pool facing room. Our beds were vibrating from the intense volume, and it went until 2:30 am. No sleep was had that night. Highly recommend you get a beach facing room and you'll avoid that nonsense. |3. The walls are quite thin between rooms. We could hear our neighbours talking even though they were talking at a normal level, and their TV was always on. We had to ask them every night if they could lower it. Speak quietly if you go as everyone will know your business.|4. The number of beach vendors seemed to increase over the few days on our visit. It got a bit tiring telling them 'no thanks'.||Overall, a nice place to go and it is close to bars, restaurants, and a short drive to Pigeon Island. Make sure to get a beach facing room!
