Refined, elegant, charming and calm hotel. Secluded beach attached to the hotel. At the end of the Bay so no flow of traffic across the beach. Open, bright and as close to the sea as you can be. Beautiful rooms, balcony sea views. Myanmar elegance displayed through traditional wooden furnishings and style. Food fresh and cooked to order. Even the simple dishes with extra touches of detail. Professional team to attend to you and make your stay pleasurable. Pool or sea swimming. less than 5 minutes walk. You won't want to leave!

This is a place you will absolutely want to return to. My partner and me visited for a long weekend. Sometimes when you arrive you realise the photos on the web page are well edited and the reality is somewhat different. In this instance the location is BETTER than the review.|Apon arrival we were greeted by friendly, knowledeable and helpful staff. The villa we were in was classy and impeccably clean and well presented. The Bathroom area is spacey and stylish with only a partical roof giving it an airy feel. We did meet a friendly frog in there but he soon hopped off. |Out front of the villa there is ample decking with plenty of shade before a grass area and then a well maintained beautiful beach. The sun goes down over the sea offering exquisite sunsets which can be viewed from either the villas or dining area of resort.|The high quality menu is varied both for the evening meal and Buffet breakfast. As a vegan I was pleasently surprised of the variety of dishes available to me and the staff knowledge as to my dietary requirements.|We are already planning to return for a longer period next year to go to the many attractive places locally and enjoy more of the amazing hospitality.

This is such a wonderful place to visit. The photos do not show the serene and peaceful location. Our lodge was right on the beach close to the restaurant too. Our room was beautiful and we were catered in every way. The staff are absolutely brilliant. The food for breakfast is buffet style and there is lots of variety. The dinner menu is very good and they are able to cater to alternative tastes and dietary requirements. An absolute gem of a place to stay. We will definitely return!!

Building of BOB are old, but it's comfortable to live in. The room is still spacious even though I took two extra beds. This is the thing I like most in BOB. You can have varieties of foods in buffet breakfast. One drawback is they announce that the breakfast time is 7:30 to 9:30 and last order time is 9am. We were so confused and have to get there at 9 even though we don't want to get up early on the vacation. Location .... since it is at the end of the bay, it's cool and private. It is also convenient to swim in the sea. Two life guards are always watching for our safety. Recommend this hotel if u want to stay quietly and privately.

We stayed in the resort's "Royal Bengal Villa," which is the closest villa to the beach. Rooms are so cool. Each Royal Bengal villa has a bedroom and an extra room for a day bed. The highlight of the villa is the astonishing bathroom decorated with slate and grey marble. The roof above the bathtub allows natural light to embrace the bathroom. There's a large swimming pool as well. But service is below average, and mosquitoes come at night.

Ngwesaung is reached via a narrow , winding road typical of much of Myanmar. Here the negatives stop: the quiet location and facilities are matched by the staff and service and the long drive is soon forgotten. Our accommodation was in a pleasant upper floor room with large balcony and sea view through the palm trees. Mosquito nets provided but we had no problems , given the use of spray with deet at dusk! |Food choice was good at all meal times and seafood was the star. Grilled snacks and cocktails available at the Fisherman's Bar a short way along the beach. The reception staff were happy to provide a golf buggy ride there as I must have looked in need of refreshment on arrival!|The "resort" has few facilities to entertain the visitor. If you welcome an absence of music, pool tables , minigolf then this is perfect. The focus is the very quiet beach with the loudest sounds coming from the surf.

We stayed for four nights from mid-week until mid-weekend and were able to see the resort at its quietest through to a busy weekend. Staff were unfailing lovely - especially the breakfast waitresses who made all the kids hot chocolates to order at breakfast if they wish. While I felt the lifeguards were a bit over eating - they followed people along the beach and stood right in front of where they swam - I recognise that many patrons would not be able to swim as well as Australians raised by the beach. Our room was a Deluxe Double with Garden View which was at the rear of the resort but had one large bed plus a single bed and a big balcony. If we had older children we would request the same room on the ground floor as those rooms have access from the balcony down to the grass for children to run and play. The room had a few small glitches like a gap under the door that let mosquitoes in but we always use repellant in Myanmar anyway and the beds had very practical and romantic-looking mosquito nets. The beach was very clean and on quiet days there was no shortage of recliners though this would change in busy times. We found breakfast fine (not a huge buffet and not gourmet offerings but with a good selection of grain breads for toast). There are no driver rooms at the resort but they do have parking so our driver stayed at a guesthouse across the road for 15,000 kyat and the hotel staff were happy to let him come in and eat/drink with us (extra sales of meals and drink for the hotel so why not). All up a lovely 4 day break. It’s a pity the road is not better as the 5-hour drive means a shorter break would not be practical for many families.
