Very welcoming for families and pets, amazingly friendly staff all of whom are very helpful and attentive, lovely food,varied menu and cooked to an excellent standard, even if you're difficult, like me.

Been my local for the past 20 years. We popped in after a long trip back and had what I have to say is the best meal here in a while. We had gammon, which was probably the best piece I’ve had in any pub for a long while. The burger was really good. It came with fries and a couple of onion rings, which were a nice addition. The scampi was also really nice and actually came with tartar sauce, which most places don’t include! 10/10 would recommend for a quick pint or top-notch grub.

3rd time of having a big group of us and been absolutely brilliant. No faults from any of us. Food really good. Service really good

The staff,steak sandwich,shamwara chicken,coffee and speckled hen bitter were all excellent the place is clean. No view but a nice decking area.i hope they continue to maintain high standards. Also reasonably priced

Very disappointing burger but lovely service. Be aware of the vicious speed bumps into the carpark that will grind out most cars! Dropped in with the Mother law for a late afternoon lunch. The lady serving was delightful and friendly and we ordered a couple of burgers, one off the monthly specials menu. MiL’s burger arrived without the advertised BBQ sauce and mine had the driest beef patties I’ve ever had. It’s hard to make a bad burger but these guys have it down to a T it seems. Still, the chips were good I suppose and they have a good list of advertised events. Really looks like they are trying to be a nice community pub.

When 12 people turn up with no notice, ordering food, you know you're really putting the team under pressure! Fantastic service, they took it in their stride - food was amazing quality and nothing in the order was wrong. Must try harder - we'll come back with 18 next time!!!

We were visiting the Cotswald and trying to find a pub. We drove from Birbury and stopped here. After getting table, we all hit the bathrooms and table of friendly local gentlemen stopped me and we talked. They wanted to know how we ended up at this place, as they seemed kind of surprised that tourists would eat there. This is probably the most "authentic English pub" we will have been in during this trip. We tried some in London, which were great and authentic, though one turned out to be "gastropub" ... a much different experience. But The Baytree was basically filled only with locals. There was a town meeting happening behind our table. There was a woman's dart league event in the other room. There were kids with soccer balls and dogs coming in out of the building. The food was decent, nothing super special and there were missing items on the menu (not a big deal). There was a Beyond Burger on menu, which kind of shocked me. Someone in our party got a Long Island Iced Tea, which came out in the kind of sturdy kitchen glass you serve milk in. Very industrious. Overall, a great experience. Unfortunately, after that I had to get back onto those crazy narrow Cotswold roads with people driving too fast and on the "wrong side" of the road.

This has been my local in the UK for many years. The pub is split into two areas, one side is more family oriented and has bigger tables and people tend to go there to eat with their families. The other side has more of a sports bar vibe, you will be able to watch Football, Cricket and Rugby and enjoy some banter with the locals. Always drink specials and the food is surprisingly good and excellent value. Highly recommended.

This is a pub with food, the bar staff are great, but the food staff are miserable and give the impression they really don't want to be there. Food is standard pub chain food, quick and easy. (for some reason not do quick)

Went there for my cousins birthday party and had a fab time.Day before party went in for a meal and was pleasntly surprised by the choice of meals on offer and the prices.House special is 2 main courses for £8,which considering the cost of eating out nowadays and given the size of the portions supplied is great value for money. Bar staff are all friendly and helpful,then again what with this place being past winners of regional Pub of the Year for their Chain (Greene King),what else would you expect.If you are ever lucky enough to be in the vicinity of the place please go in an try their Hunters Chicken (chicken breast topped with bbq sauce and bacon and melted cheese)served with potatoes or chips and veg,mmmmm mouthwateringly fab!!!

The Baytree in Grove has really changed in the two years that I've been going in there. They have friendly staff and management. They have entertainment almost every Friday and Sat night, karaoke, bands, discos etc. Pub Quiz on Mondays - only for people who don't take it seriously though!! and Meat raffle on Sunday's. The atmosphere is always relaxed and I feel comfortable going in on my own ( being a woman this is important). Also quite important very rarely do you see 'Fresh faced' people in there - this isn't to say it's full of oldies though!
