Bayberry has been on my Restaurant Week list for many years. This time, their menu was a must do. Made a reservation through their website for a Sunday evening. The storefront seemed quaint, almost passable but once inside, it was enormous! Beautifully decorated and smelled clean, like fresh soap. The hostess was a doll and asked where in the restaurant we would prefer to sit. We chose the dining room to the left rear. Kailey was our server, nice, professional and accommodating. We had already perused the menu prior to our arrival and but decided to get drinks. I had their Bold & Brash, which sounded good on paper but was way too strong! My friend had a glass of Malbec. Our shared our appetizers, the Peking duck tacos were so savory, sweet and crunchy. I wish a had a whole plate of them! We also shared the Pear, Rocket & Quinoa salad, which as a beautiful portion of deliciousness!
My friend ordered the salmon, paella style, which was tasty but not cooked enough for me. It was dressed so nicely too. I had the swordfish and it has to be one of my new favorite dishes! Cooked to perfection, I cleaned my plate!
They were out of creme brulee which made us sad but we opted for the blueberry tres leches cake which was surprisingly very, very good, considering I'm not a blueberry fan. We also had the flourless chocolate cake which was tasty as well.
I can't wait for the next Restaurant Week menu!
