Hotel Bayerischer Hof is located in Ingolstadt Altstadt at 1,9 km of the railway-station. Built in 1977 and fully renovated in 2018, Bayerischer Hof has 30 rooms. The hotel is nicely outfitted and pleasant. Free Wi-Fi & parking. Staff is friendly. The breakfast is unimpressive.||||Our room was modernly furnished and decorated, with a bench, TV on the wall, desk, and in the middle of the room a very good double bed. We had a small separate bathroom with toilet, washbasin & shower. All was very clean.||||The buffet breakfast is modest: bread, rolls & toast, ham & cheese, boiled eggs, butter & marmalade, fruit & juices, cereals, milk & mineral water, tea & coffee.||||We found hotel comfortable and we had a good stay. Recommended.

The downside is the breakfast. Everyday it is only: schinken, cheese, yoghurt, assorted cornflakes and oats, juice, watermelon-melon-grapes salad, boiled eggs, cookies, and bread that were not even fresh. But, the hotel was beautiful. The room was modern and clean. It is well isolated so you would not hear noises when the windows are closed, even though the room is beside the street. The management is very friendly. Overall experience was fairly nice. They deserve 4 stars because the only thing that is not so good was the breakfast.

I was a bit nervous booking this B&B for me, my mother, and 2 daughters having read some of the negative reviews about staff. But we had the most amazing experience here at the Bayerischer Hot in Ingolstadt, and I am so glad I made my reservation with them. My mother was born in Ingolstadt, and had not been back for 40 years. She is also in her late 70's, so I needed to have a location in town so the walking would be manageable. Plus she wanted to be close to the Danube, where she played as a child, which is a quick walk away from the hotel. ||||We stayed in 2 rooms which were both very clean, contemporary/modern, and the beds were very comfortable. My mother and I both have back problems, and I didn't expect to sleep as well as I did. The beds were comfortable. We had a shower in our bathroom that had excellent water pressure and a towel heater that was a fun perk! My daughter loved reading on the cute window seat, and watching the activity of the streets down below. The Wifi service worked well for us in both rooms at any time of day. I know this for a fact because my daughters use Messenger all the time, and never complained about it not working. The rooms were clean and offer plenty of space.||||The breakfast was one of our favorite things about this B&B. The pastry is made from scratch. The eggs are boiled to perfection and are super fresh. My mother loved the German cold cuts that were tasty and always restocked. I loved the fresh yogurt and toppings offered. Hot coffee, tea, and cappuccino is served, and the owner Elisabeth was kind and informative when we asked questions about the village. The location of this B&B is right next to the Danube at the entrance to Ingolstadt. We enjoyed walking the streets of Ingolstadt, knowing that our hotel is close by. We rarely used our rental car, which we parked for free in the small lot of the hotel. One thing about parking.... parking is horrible in Ingolstadt regardless of what hotel you stay in. If you come to the hotel after 5pm, you may not get a spot in the free parking lot of the hotel. But if it is full, there is a big lot not too far from the hotel that you can park at for a reasonable cost. Since we didn't drive too far from the village, this didn't affect us as much.||||I know a lot of people say the staff is rude, but that was NOT our experience. They were helpful, kind, and went out of their way to meet our needs. It helped that my mother spoke Bavarian. I think a lot of these negative reviews have to do with not being able to speak the language, and things getting lost in translation. ||||I hope to visit Bayerischer Hof again!

Great location, really calm and quiet even tho you sleep close to the city center. Nice rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was generous. We stayed with our threeyearold during one night - perfect!||A lot of construction sites made it hard to find the hotel, and the staff didn’t speak any english. But we solved it after a rather confusing phone call.|

The Bayrischer Hof is ideal for anyone attending a theater performance, as I did, and looking for a single night's stay. It is one of the few hotels located directly in the old city center, within easy walking distance of many historic sites. Considering this prime location, the small hotel is quite a good value. My room was tiny, however, with very little space for clothes or toiletries. I stayed at the hotel during the July heat (about 96 Fahrenheit or 36 Celsius), and if my room had air conditioning, I never found it. To the hotel's credit, they are minimizing their contribution to global warming and are using natural ventilation and window treatments to keep the temperature down (which actually worked pretty well), but AC would have been a welcome option. The hotel offered goodies, chocolate mini-muffins at check-in and chocolate in the room, which I greatly appreciated when I checked in hungry. I've seen the review about a rude manager, but every staff member I encountered treated me well. I found them to be quite friendly.

My wife and I made a one night stopover on our road trip from northern Italy to Berlin. Hotel receptionist was very polite. The room in the 2nd floor, was clean and quite. Breakfast, included, in room price was a standard buffet with a normal breakfast. Hotel's own private parking was offered at no cost. We choose the hotel because it's convenient location for a walking tour around the old city. Price on date of our stay was not cheap nor excessively expensive.

Bayerischer Hof was my company choice for business trip in February 2016. |Comparing price/quality, it was a good choice. Small parking behind, big restaurant in the loby that was not in function during our stay in evening hours. Rooms were claen, but bad was a bit short for a person above 190cm. Bathroom was nice and clean. No refrigirator in room is a minus. Wifi was ok in rooms. Breakfast was the same every day and very, very limited with a poor choice. |In my opinion, a few additions for breakfast and with some small investments, hotel would easily deserve 4 stars for my standards. |Better english on reception would be one of the easiest points for start.|In general, you will have all basic things that you need if you need a hotel for a few overnight stays.

I have been here a few times and it was always dissapointing. The only good thing is that it is located in the city centre.||||Hotels like this work only in Ingolstadt, there are so many visitors and the Octoberfest also, that they feel no need to invest any money into their premises. All Hotels are always booked||||The furniture is very basic and ragged, looks like a cheap B&B for youngsters.||OK it was clean. But the ambience makes you really feel depressed.||||WLAN cannot be used in many rooms...no signal. Im my room the door was too short and there was a huge gap between the floor and the door. When somebody was walking in the corridor the outside light was illuminating my room for free. Do not know who did the craftmanswork here.||||One time I had alarge room, one time the bed was maximum 1.85 m and the room was maximum 2 by 3 m.||||The breakfast ist quite basic, lets say it is OK.
