Bayfield Motel and Apartment

Enjoyed our stay, was perfect for a small family. Renovated 2 bedroom unit with good bathroom and kitchen facilities. shower had good pressure. All rooms had heaters, so we stayed nice and warm and the beds were comfy. Room was very clean. Biggest plus though was the owner - super helpful and lovely to deal with. Good location, reasonably priced. Only downfall, wifi was patchy and laundry facilities could do with an upgrade :)

This is a very nice renovated motel. The kitchen is very tidy, the bathroom and shower facilities very new and of high quality. Even though it is cold outside it has great heating facilities in every space. Beds are very comfortable. But more than anything the owner is very lovely and great customer service. Great bargain!

We chose a disabled access room for ground floor access for myself ( only some mobility issues at times) but this room would have been difficult for a wheelchair to access due to the tight ramp access, and bedside usage would have been tricky. The bathroom was wide and open but had high hooks and shelves, though a carer / support person could help here. The location is slightly out of the city and just off a main road so was convenient if you had a car access and possibly would be easily accessible for bus or taxi ? The reception office was located upstairs so you may need to phone the receptionist for help if necessary ? Overall value for money for us however with the usual inclusions - sink, jug, microwave etc.

I chose this motel purely on location, followed by price. We were in the block closest to the road, but there was no traffic noise at all. The block further back seemed to be umdergoing renovations, so we thought our block must have been done first. It was very clean, and well presented. All the appliances were brand new. The beds were comfortable and the shower was first rate. We liked that there was tinfoil in the oven, and we had real milk supplied. Budget soap and shampoo in the bathroom and the towels were nice, and changed daily. Very good offstreet parking. Jenny was very helpful during the booking process, and nothing was too much of a problem when we arrived. We would definitely come back to this place, and thoroughly recommend it.

Travelling the country and found this little gem. Units have recently been fully refurbished and they are wonderful. So clean and the bed was like a cloud. Amazing room for the price and the lady owner was so friendly and kind. Not sure about past reviews but my 2 night stay was brilliant.

We needed a place in Dunedin last minute for one night and had a budget. The budget gave us this Motel and it was fine. ||We were in room 7, a two bed unit. Very, very dated with decoration and units in kitchenette and bathroom. The bathroom door just about shut but the toilet door did not. I love my family but don't need an audience whilst on the toilet!||Kitchenette is handy but lack of glasses. There were 5 of us staying and only one wine glass and two small glasses which was not great. Everything else had enough. ||But as I said at the beginning, it was fine for one night on a budget. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.||

Excellent service at this place. Old units are a bit tired but newer ones are amazing. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Left the room heater on as we checked in a bit late night. So it was warm n cozy when we got there. A lot of parking spots and easy in n out. Peaceful place. Recommended.

Only stayed 1 night. Jenny was very helpful and accomodating as we would be arriving very late. Room was cleaned to a good standard, the bathroom just lacked amenities a little. Over all very happy with the stay, the cleanliness and the service.
