Bayfield Motel and Apartment

Perfect for a base to see Dunedin’s Albatross, Penguins, Seals, beautiful railroad station, Settlers Museum, The Catlins, Mt Cook, South Slope, and all the beautiful landscape you can drink in. Spent a week here, Everything was clean, tidy and organized. Conveniently located, good WiFi, quiet, and lots of walking areas. Nice kitchenette, adequately furnished, the heater worked great, water pressure was good, love the heat blankets under the bedding. Thank You Jenny for the wonderful stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay, was perfect for a small family. Renovated 2 bedroom unit with good bathroom and kitchen facilities. shower had good pressure. All rooms had heaters, so we stayed nice and warm and the beds were comfy. Room was very clean. Biggest plus though was the owner - super helpful and lovely to deal with. Good location, reasonably priced. Only downfall, wifi was patchy and laundry facilities could do with an upgrade :)

Enjoyed my 2 nights stay here with my family. Good size rooms and rooms had plenty of facilities.

Rooms clean, with renovated bathroom and friendly staff

This is a very nice renovated motel. The kitchen is very tidy, the bathroom and shower facilities very new and of high quality. Even though it is cold outside it has great heating facilities in every space. Beds are very comfortable. But more than anything the owner is very lovely and great customer service. Great bargain!

I chose this motel purely on location, followed by price. We were in the block closest to the road, but there was no traffic noise at all. The block further back seemed to be umdergoing renovations, so we thought our block must have been done first. It was very clean, and well presented. All the appliances were brand new. The beds were comfortable and the shower was first rate. We liked that there was tinfoil in the oven, and we had real milk supplied. Budget soap and shampoo in the bathroom and the towels were nice, and changed daily. Very good offstreet parking. Jenny was very helpful during the booking process, and nothing was too much of a problem when we arrived. We would definitely come back to this place, and thoroughly recommend it.

Travelling the country and found this little gem. Units have recently been fully refurbished and they are wonderful. So clean and the bed was like a cloud. Amazing room for the price and the lady owner was so friendly and kind. Not sure about past reviews but my 2 night stay was brilliant.

We chose a disabled access room for ground floor access for myself ( only some mobility issues at times) but this room would have been difficult for a wheelchair to access due to the tight ramp access, and bedside usage would have been tricky. The bathroom was wide and open but had high hooks and shelves, though a carer / support person could help here. The location is slightly out of the city and just off a main road so was convenient if you had a car access and possibly would be easily accessible for bus or taxi ? The reception office was located upstairs so you may need to phone the receptionist for help if necessary ? Overall value for money for us however with the usual inclusions - sink, jug, microwave etc.
