My labor experience at BUMC was exceptional. My OB-GYN is Dr. Christina Littrell and my L&D nurses (Tamara & Caroline) and Postpartum nurses (Andrea & Elisa) went above and beyond to explain every step of the process, make me comfortable, and make my recovery smooth and a pleasant experience. I felt very prepared to go home as a first time mom thanks to all the patient education and lactation consulting the entire team provided for my husband and I in both floors. Every staff member that walked into our room had an amazing sense of urgency to help and positive attitude. It’s very obvious the staff on these floors are doing work they are very passionate about. 12/10 experience and we will have any future deliveries at this facility.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!! Had the most abhorrent experience and it just keeps getting worst. First, the security protocol to even get in the building is akin to post 9/11 TSA. Had a difficult time every time especially with one particular security personnel. More training needs to be done on how to process people in. The questions should not be do you have any weapons on your person, it should be “something flagged on our monitor would you mind confirming what that is”. Felt very racist to be asked that question. Second, the staff (nurses) were lacking so much knowledge that I had to step in and actually complete tasks for them. For example, there were blood thinners involved in the medication regiment but there was an upcoming surgery. I had to advocate to get them to check if this should at least pause leading up to it. They finally checked, and what do you know?!!!, it did need to be paused. Only heaven knows what would have happened if not for the advocacy. There are so many more examples too, this does not even scratch the surface. Third, when discharged from surgery the same room was confirmed as the one to return to. Only to later find out that it would not be the same room, but was promised that all of my belongings would be transferred to the new room. You know where this going… ALL OF MY BELONGINGS did not in fact make it to the new room and they have never been recovered to this day! All they could do was give me a number to “guest services” where I left several messages with absolutely no response, to this day. But I bet when my bill comes they would want all of the money. Just ridiculous. Then the latest and greatest disappointment, when finally released from this hell hole with a charge to follow up with Outpatient Physical Therapy, or PT for short, only to arrive to the first appointment with a Pulmonary Therapist!!!! How does this even happen???!!! Never even had any issues with pulmonary anything. I am so fed up and have not been able to contact anyone for a resolution. So again, PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS for the sake of your well being. At the very least, if you cannot avoid this terrible place, please have an advocate there for you because it might very well save your life!!!

I had an amazing experience delivering my first child at Baylor. The nurses were amazing as well as the lactation consultant. The care I received was exceptional and the staff couldn’t have been better. Thank you so much Dr. Wiseman & nurse Keegan for going above and beyond. The service provided at Baylor is exceptional :)!

The nurses there were great can’t complain at all. They treated my daddy very good. They would come in and explain to him what medications they had for him and what they were for. They were very attentive they would come and check on him constantly to ask if he would need anything or if my mom or I needed anything. The Dr that saw him this Time at the hospital was great as well.

I was admitted through the ER on 11/21/2025 and discharged on 11/23/2025. I was on 11 Roberts. I received excellent care from every single staff member I encountered. I mean everyone! The doctors, the nurses, the techs, the staff in radiology, the housekeepers, the registration staff, the phlebotomist, the people who passed the food trays, every single person was caring and professional! I could not have asked for better care! I felt truly cared for! Thank you to everyone and I hope that the staff of 11 Roberts will be acknowledged for their outstanding care

Baylor is normally great! However, there are always a few nurses that don’t seem to care about giving out meds on time. I shouldn’t have to miss doses of pain meds after surgery because a nurse does not answer my page! I find that I have to advocate for myself quite a bit. I should be able to get reliable care….no matter which nurse is on duty.

My surgery went well thanks to Dr.Gunby and surgical team.My stay @Pickens 4th floor was extremely attentive and had me so comfortable!! The staff was very helpful and educated me on my meds; made sure pain management was leveled.I felt sad to leave them. Wow who likes to be in hospital crazy right?!

What an amazing experience me and my fiancée had there for the birth of our baby boy. It was our first and I was extremely scared and didn’t really know what to expect. But they’re team is extremely knowledgeable and gentle but also talked me through everything that was happening and going to happen so they’re were no surprises. I will be having all future kids at this location. 10/10 highly highly recommend
