Great location! We are Seniors & booked a Lakeview Room with 2 Queens for a 3 night stay! We were comfortable! The room is at best a 3 star! The Bathroom has been completely renovated and was great! Average cleanliness. There is no room service (possibly all hotels are doing this, since Covid). We paid 0ver $600 a night with tax! Plastic glasses, paper cups & no room service! We had to hunt down the staff for clean towels, toilet tissue & extra coffees or ask for more at the front desk! We did enjoy our stay, but expected more luxury for the $$ we paid!

We really liked our stay at the Bayshore Inn. We had a lakeview standard room. The room looked like it had recently been remodeled, so it was very clean, comfortable and nice. The room faced the water, so it was a beautiful view. We loved seeing the deer walk by our door, and the balcony was a great place to sit and relax. Waterton is a cute little town, and we enjoyed walking around. My only reason for not giving the Inn 5 stars is the noise. The walls and ceiling are very thin, so unfortunately, we didn't get a good night's sleep, due to the people above us stomping around, and talking loudly. Other than that, it was a great stay, and I would definitely stay here again, and ask for a 2nd floor room.

Stayed here 3 nights in late June. We had a room overlooking the street and the mountains. While it would have been nice if we had been able to book a room facing the lake, our room was fine. Actually, I’m not sure how much of the lake you’d see on the other side as there were lots of trees blocking the view. We had a small balcony with 2 Adirondack chairs and a table - perfect for sitting outside with a glass of wine after a day of hiking and watching the world go by. The room itself was a good size for 2 people. The bathroom was small and there was really nowhere to hang wet bath towels. The room came with a coffee maker, mini fridge, iron and ironing board. Like almost all hotels since COVID, they do not offer daily housekeeping unless requested which is fine with us as we can make our own beds in the morning and we don’t put out fresh towels at home each day. Getting coffee refill packages from the front desk was easy. Front desk staff were always smiling and helpful. I would recommend this place.

We stayed one night at the Bayshore Inn & Spa in Waterton and really enjoyed it. The location is fantastic—right on the lake with beautiful views. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed for a short stay, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient place to stay, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Google
Great location, everything very clean, quiet. Comfortable beds. Our room had a balcony with relaxing chairs facing the lake. Easy walking distance to restaurants, coffee, shopping, the lake, and the Bears Hump hiking trail. We had a very nice stay and would be happy to return. Highly recommended!

Very overpriced for what you get. The location wasn't bad but the rooms are just average and you are lucky if you manage to get a good view from your room as only about 20% of the units have good views. The trees do block whatever view you do have from your room. What makes it a terrible experience is the staff, including the manager. They are unfriendly and will not go out of their way to help you like other hotels will. They are like robots and unpersonable. This place is worth maybe 200-250 a night. Not the 630 that we spent. What a waste of money. Look elsewhere before you think about staying here.

The Bayshore Inn is a nice motel. The rooms were clean and quiet. Lake view rooms have a nice view of Waterton Lake and the surrounding mountains. They have a nice restaurant with good food and views of the lake. All of the motel and dining staff were friendly and helpful. Shops, restaurants, and the marina are very walk-able from the Bayshore. It's a short drive from the Bayshore to the beautiful views and wildlife located in the national park. We were there for 4 nights and saw bears every day!

The room was definitely not worth the 500.00 + price. Older room. Needs Reno. Rooms are small. Bathroom small. No counter space. No free breakfast. The manager was not friendly at all. Asking for extra towels was like pulling teeth. They did switch us to a lower room from the second floor. One of our group wasn’t able to walk stairs.

Yelp
The Bayshore Inn & Spa located in Waterton Park is indeed close to the shoreline, but unless you take the few steps out to the waterfront, the view of the lake is hidden by the trees. The "Inn" was clean, tidy, quiet & the staff was friendly, but make no mistake about it, this is a motor lodge style motel. We found Bayshore Inn to be very pricey for the "tired" accommodations. What your paying for while staying at this location is the convenience of being close to the shoreline, downtown amenities, restaurants and trails within Waterton Park...not luxury accommodations. If you're traveling with a group or several family members, there is not an interior gathering space on this property where family or friends can relax together after a day on the water or after a long hike. The registration office has a fireplace, but the space is very small. You would have to go next door to the Chop House restaurant, another restaurant or sit at a picnic table or park outside. These photos were taken during our stay mid June 2023.

Yelp
We spent two nights here as part of our organized motor coach bus tour of the Canadian Rockies. Our room was ground level. No digital keys here. You use a physical room key. There were three of us; however our bathroom was set up for two sets of towels. I called the front desk to request additional towels. I said no rush as we were headed out on a boat ride of Waterton Lake and then dinner. That's like 4-5 hours. Came back to our room, and still no additional towels. Called the front desk again. This time the towels were quickly delivered. Our room had plenty of USB outlets. That's huge these days with tablets and smartphones. We had a somewhat view of the lake as there was construction blocking our view, not including a rainy evening we first arrived. The next day we were able to get a better glimpse of the lake. There's a nice paved walking trail along the lake. Great photo ops. You can also see the Prince of Wales Hotel which overlooks the lake from the trail. Overall a comfortable two night stay.

Yelp
Stayed here in a lakeside room that had a lovely view of overgrown trees, powerlines, and public walkway. Front desk staff were clueless during checkin. Room smelled old and musty. Internet did not work at all. Called front desk to make me a dinner reservation and they told me I didn't need one for the wine bar that is affiliated with this property. Went over there only to find that, although all hotel wine bar and restaurant are all connected in one large unit, the "Chophouse" is where dinner is actually served. And you need a reservation. Located the host desk only to wait for over ten minutes before being greeted, while several hosts stood around. One of the hostesses was dressed in an extremely tight and skimpy and torn black dress that you'd expect to see on a street walker. Eventually a gentleman who appeared to be a manager roamed over and appeared surprised that we hadn't been helped with all of the hosts still standing around. We had bison sliders and a bison reuben on a gluten free bun. Our server, Natasha, was a little odd and seemed surprised that we requested med-rare cook temp. Apparently at the Chophouse, everything is prepared to a charred extra well done. Service is extremely slow. Food was okay. Drinks remind you of something you'd see on a chain restaurant happy hour menu. The panacotta was gluten free and probably the best part of the whole deal. Only other positive is that we got a dinner discount for being hotel guests. I would recommend to avoid this very mediocre experience.

Yelp
The rustic Bayshore Inn is located on the shore of Waterton Lake. It is very close to many restaurants and shops lining the main street, including the boat dock. So, if you want different dining choices and accessible main street shopping, you should be reasonably contented with its convenient location. My second-story room had a lovely outdoor balcony view of Waterton Lake. My room was partially obstructed by evergreen trees, but I expected to see trees in Waterton anyway. Every morning, I viewed deer quietly grazing along the shore of Waterton lake. The room was equipped with two beds, a flat screen satellite television, telephone, small refrigerator, coffee maker, and air conditioning. Everything was clean, including all of my bed linens and bathroom towels. However, the latch on the sliding screen door leading outside to the balcony viewing deck was broken. So, the sliding screen door slid around in windy conditions (and I arrived on a day when Waterton was experiencing a strong Chinook wind). For this reason, I couldn't leave the sliding glass door cracked open for fresh air and my room became stuffy. Fortunately, I did not spend much time in my room and I did not use the spa attached to the Bayshore Inn. Instead, I wanted to be outdoors and enjoy the Waterton wildlife and alpine scenery as often as possible. So, the Bayshore Inn was fine for me.

Yelp
We stayed at the Bayshore inn, but didn't use the spa. Front staff was very friendly- must have had tons open because they bumped us up to a lake front room . The room was lake front, but not so much lake view as there are trees blocking the view, still beautiful! Only complaint is that they have no vending machines or a place to buy a soda or water, had to walk to the gas station. Inconvenient when is 10pm. Overall... Loved the place but would like to check out the other local hotels as well.

Yelp
Note: Please take a look at previous google reviews, the owner responds to every negative review with excuses, negativity, condescending tone and takes absolutely no responsibility. Every problem is countered with the same response- "Its new! Just installed! I have no idea what you're talking about!" Also extremely deceptive owner- only posts the 4+ google review on the official bayshore site, actively removes anything less. Not accredited on BBB site but claims on official Bayshore site to have a A+++ rating. $0 refund and overcharged for $370+ standard room after voluntarily walking away shortly before check-in due to experiencing Covid-like symptoms. Was heading down to Waterton for the July long weekend, booked a $370 room on Expedia (taxes and extra charges included, pictures below) for Friday night. Shortly before check-in and during the drive, I started feeling flu-like symptoms. Concerned for my health and the safety of others at the hotel, I called the hotel to say I could not be able to come due to illness. I would have likely been turned away from the hotel anyways for failing the Covid questionnaire. It was a busy weekend but I took the time to check if they had extra rooms available for Friday night and I saw standard rooms available on the official Bayshore hotel website, Expedia, Bookings.com, Hotels.com, Agoda and Priceline; I knew they had rooms left. I selected for payment on hotel site on Expedia but was charged immediately while still in the car and also overcharged an extra $40+ (see image below for bank statement). Total charges on my credit card: $410+. I call the Bayshore manager to explain my situation and ask for a refund, he said he would speak to his manager and accounting. I was fully denied the refund as it was a "busy weekend" and they "had no rooms". Terrible service and respect for customers during covid-19, would not return.

Yelp
My review is for the restaurant only, we didn't stay in the hotel. Hubby and I decided to have dinner here because the views from the patio were really nice (we got to watch deer nibble the grass between us and the lake, pretty awesome). The view was basically the only good part of our visit. Our waiter was weird and unfriendly until the end of our meal, at which point we asked him some questions about the local area and he warmed up a bit. Our food was average, and far below what I expected for the price we paid (the kobe meatballs were dry and chewy, for crying out loud). The final kicker was getting charged $5.50 for a diet coke, and again for a refill. So we paid $11 for two average sized glasses of soda filled mostly with ice. Really? I mean, come on. That's just tacky.

Yelp
Well for a 200 hotel room I expected more. The front end staff was super nice and offered to show the room with partial lake view before I committed. It was a long trip to get here so I took it sight unseen. Well the balcony has not 1, not 2 but three locks on the door. Either Waterton is the crime capital of AB or the bears are super aggressive. We went out on the balcony to enjoy the view and swing the door shut behind us. Click. Locked. Well well no problem I have a room key. What? Does work in the lock? Had to climb down the outside if the hotel and drop the last 4 feet or so to the ground. Ridiculous, there should be a sign or educated staff to warn you. Really don't think there needs to be a knob lock on that door. The mini fridge sat on the floor in the corner. Again for 200 bucks you'd think they'd spring for a small table. Reminded me of being back in college. Just needed a beer bing and a foose ball table and I was all set. If you have to stay here it won't be unpleasant just don't look for a well thought out hotel.

Yelp
We were happy to be here after the other two places we stayed during this trip. The room was big, clean, and roomy and so was the bathroom! We had TV (few channels but who cared at this point). We loved our room and it was always made when we returned to it. They had free WiFi in the room! You don't realize how much you miss the technology when you don't have it for five days. I didn't care if it was spotty WiFi, at least, it was something.

Yelp
Our room was ok looking with a nice view. Waterton is a sleepy town that is way over priced. Most of the trails are closed due to last years fire or bears so unless you want to spend $10.50 or more on drinks all night you hang out in your room. The t.v in our room didn't work most of the night so there was nothing to do. We definitely won't be back.

Yelp
Went to Waterton for the weekend and decided to have a nice dinner on the patio of Bayshore's chop house. It was a little cold so we sat inside and the view was great, but that was the best part of our time there. We order 2 steaks- 40$ each- and they were the worst steaks I have ever eaten. My boyfriend was working HARD to chew his medium well and my medium rare was barely any better. Remember, this is a CHOPHOUSE. We finished most of the steaks, potatoes and veg and I could have still eaten another meal, the servings were absolutely tiny compared to what you get at a steakhouse in Calgary. We should have sent it all back but really just wanted to get out of there and enjoy the rest of our night. To top it off our waiter was weird, had to get up to find him to ask for things, but was also just off-putting. Last night we went to Applebees for a quick bite and the steak there (20$) was 100x better. Do not waste your money on the overpriced meals here- but I would go back to enjoy the view and order an appy (the flatbread looked good) The name of the game in this town appears to be that there is no competition so you may charge whatever you like and deliver minimum quality. pretty sad.

Yelp
I think this was the worst customer service experience I've ever had - I called to ask a few questions about booking rooms for a stay. I was told that they weren't booking for the time I was looking at yet (not a problem, but it appears that they are booking online?). I asked for more details, including whether they have any secure storage area where we could keep our belongings after checkout and the employee treated me like I was stupid, though I have had this offered to me without asking at other hotels. It's surprising that they would hire someone so unprofessional; I'm very disappointed, and honestly quite upset.

Yelp
Went originally for the buffet breakfast they have. We didn't have the buffet as for $20/pp all we would have gotten was dry scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles, couple juices and some fruit. For what we would have had to eat it was not worth the money and there were other items on the menu that were cheaper and more interesting. Recommend eating off the menu for breakfast! Another reason to eat here is the view onto the lake and the flowers on their patio. You can sit inside or out and had very attentive service. Very few places in town have this kind of a view so that gets bonus points as it is. Would return but skip the buffet.

Yelp
A-List. I went for the food, view and service. The patio is first-class with a view of the park and lake. In Waterton, it doesn't get much better than this. The food was excellent. The prime rib burger was the best I have enjoyed in a very long time. It was delicious, juicy and enough. The service was good and not overly attentive. The ambiance at this place on a sunny day is one of the best anywhere. Like royalty. For real. Enjoy!

Yelp
I went to the spa and the restaurant, but didn't stay at the hotel. The restaurant had good breakfast, and a great view from the outside porch overlooking the lake. I would recommend the restaurant. I can also imagine that the hotel rooms overlooking the lake would have amazing views. At the spa, I had a great experience with the staff. They were very friendly and accommodating, but I walked out with a pretty sad pedicure, and mini manicure for the price. The paint was not applied evenly, and started chipping off in less than 24 hours. Again...they were VERY nice.

Yelp
What an amazing spot !!!! The Bayshore Inn is located on the lake. Can't beat the views from the Lakeside Chophouse. The chef in my books is fantastic. 5 stars all the way. The staff are courteous, friendly and very attentive. For evening treats enjoy a drink at the Fireside Lounge And Wine Bar. If you are thinking about visiting Waterton do it. And check this place out!!!

Yelp
Love the Bayshore Inn! The beautiful surroundings are definitely not to be missed but more importantly the incredible service. From the check in staff to the servers at the restaurant this resort is all about amazing service. The Chop House restaurant has a dynamic menu with several delicious options and the Fireside lounge is great for after dinner drinks. The rooms were well appointed and extremely clean. I would definitely go back and recommend this resort to friends and family!

Yelp
My mom and I went to stay out there for a night just to get out of the city. We called from home the morning we left and were told we'd have a lakeside view from our rooms personal balcony. The girl on the phone was very rude and constantly interrupted my mom, though. But, we thought that the room would be a decent size and with the view, maybe the price wasn't so bad even though it was still very high, and the girl on the phone would just be a minor issue. -- This was NOT the case. -- When we got there and went to check-in, the young man who was there was very rude and didn't seem interested in all at what he was saying to us. It sounded more like he was reading off a script just to get our money, instead of trying to be kind and actually deserve the money. Then, when we got to our room, it was not better than what you could get for about a 5th of the price in a backstreet motel in some dump of a town. The room was no bigger than my living room, the door did not shut properly and we practically had to slam into it to open and close it, our balcony door was no better, and our "lakeside view" was the parking lot with a tiny bit of lake view off the side. And there were so many trees in the way, you could barely even see that. The coffee maker was hardly that, and it took about 15 minutes to make a single cup as well. -- The only good thing was that we had somewhere to sleep for the night.
