Bayside Hotel

The rooms may be a little dated but that is the only negative comment that I can agree with. Everything else was excellent. Every member of staff, in the reception, the bar and the bottle shop, was friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was fresh and tasty and served promptly. And a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed.

Called in for lunch, exceptionally good service. Young man that took the order was lovely, didn’t have to wait any longer than 20 minutes for the meal to come out, waitress was super friendly. The meal: had seafood basket chips well cooked, scallops ok, prawns well cooked, fish well cooked, squid hmmm bit into it and full of water ran all over the chips it was not palatable at all. Salad drowned in dressing, limp lettuce again not palatable. It’s a pub meal at best, generous serve but would not order it again

Needed a nights stay at short notice. Phoned direct and got a great room, great price and a $20 voucher to spend at their connected bistro. Has a lift to get to your room if you need it. The pub bar and bistro are 5 star too! Friendly staff.

Rooms good size. A little dated. New bathrooms . Serviced daily. Great Location. Ask for sea view. Bistro downstairs a little off. Chicken parmi cooked so hard it was dark brown crusty and chicken stringy and dry. Advised staff as well, no real fix.

Great location, room was clean & large all you needed was in room, staff polite, we are travelling right around Tasmania & this is one of the best places to stay so far. It has everything all in one location meals, drinks (Bar), accommodation.

This hotel is at a great location in St Helens. It is really good value for money so I did not expect much. The essential amenities were provided and the room was equipped with kitchen utensils like toaster and dishes. The only thing I was not entirely happy with was the noise. This is because the room is on first floor facing the street. Overall I am satisfied with the stay.

The Bayside has the best staff. But Cookdog and Froggy go all out to make your visit there pretty cool. |It is a safe environment for families as well. The food is good, and they do an amazing scotch fillet steak. The new beer garden is warm and full of plants.

It’s alright but a bit old and feels dusty. Good for short stay (we stayed 2 nights but I wouldn’t stay longer). Walls are very thin and I could hear the tv, shower in the morning and people talking in the next room.

Great experience! A full house with enthusiastic customers and staff. Upon entering we asked a couple eating for their recommendations and took their advice. The seafood linguini was delicious and the inexpensive red Cabernet Merlot went very well. I had the salt and pepper calamari with a salad and was quite impressed. It was excellent!. Tender and flavorful. The specials were also very popular. Highly recommended.
