We just spent 8 nights at this place. The cottages are basic but clean . Air con cottages are a bit pricey. The staff who work at this resort are the nicest bunch of people one would want to meet in life. Extremely polite and helpful. The one thing the owners need to change is they should be able to accept credit cards payments. Many travellers don't keep large amounts of cash in their wallets ( and there is no ATM on the island) so we were forced to eat most of our meals in a restaurant next door ( NOT B1st Resort managed by super rude people) which accepted Credit card. I would highly recommend this place as a base for exploring the Perhentian Islands.

The expectations weren't so high considering that the accomodation was cheap compared to the other structures on the islands, but the room had a huge problem: the bathroom wall was composed by wooden pieces assembled horizontally, and there was a space large around 1 cm between every piece. The result was that we had a giant spider (check on internet how Malaysian spiders can be) in the bathroom for the whole vacation. We also saw a couple of cockroaches going around the room. How can you don't take care about such a huge lack??? WiFi was working only in front of the reception (so far from our room) and that was really annoying (and not fair at all) as well. The owner in the beginning seemed to be really gentle, but then he became rude with no reason. He was never accommodating or handy, especially when we had to call the boat service to come back to Kuala besut. Despite the mentioned pain points, the structure is nice and is positioned in one of the most beautiful places of Perhentian islands.

Dirty broken bathroom, broken air condition, broken ac outlet. So sorry for that, the place is nicer than expected but they really need to mantain it better and learn how to deal with customer. Once arrived the bathroom was quite dirty, a guy came with just a towel and used it quickly to remove some dirt… I asked them to bring me a spray and I would have cleaned it… they came right after using it on the toilet and then sprying it on the floor and leaving… yes, without even mopping it. I was exhausted at that point and cleaned the toilet my self and put some water on the floor to let the detergent go away. Once I get back from dinner nobody was at the reception anymore, air conditioning was not working, the bathroom had a sever water leakage and I had quite a bad night without sleeping (and being welcomed by a huge cockroach). The day after I told them what happened, they didn’t even say they were sorry, the only answer was: you can take you stuff and checkout. Of course, they refunded me but… do you have idea how hard is to book something last minute in Perhentian island? I’ve ended up spending double what I planned. Never had such a bad experience in lot of years travelling.

Terrible room with cockroaches, they don't clean, they don't give you more toilet paper, they don't change sheets, broken air conditioner, garbage left there, no one ever did anything. Rude staff!!! 70€ each day for this bungalow terrible which is worth 10!!! You can't throw the paper down the toilet but leave it in the bin which they never emptied for 1 week. 1 star because I can't dare to give 0.

Not worth the price ,RM 170++ per night and the room was small & sandy, and toilet stinks! You can hear your neighbours clearly and you can smell when they flush 🤢 No extra pillow was given when asked, no toiletries ( just 2 towels) , no room service, no internet and must check out at 11am !!!! saw a tiktok & someone booked a 70RM room per night at the same island with the same quality but with a perfect balcony beach view and bigger space lol! Should have considered that room instead

Had such a nice stay here! The owner was really kind and helpful and the room was clean, well-built (some bungalows in the area leave a lot to be desired) and the bed was so comfortable. Had a nice clean big bathroom with a hot shower. The hotel grounds are so pretty with all the plants and trees everywhere. Breakfast was also really good considering it was free! Try the waffle!

Beautiful place at good price ! They Ofer diferente choices so you can choose between having a ac or fan. The cabins are small but confortables. Also they have a place where you can eat while seeing the sea. The menu have basic dishes with good price but well cooked. This Beach is very quite so you can rest from the busy cities, there is not much people here this days (sept 2020). However you can find island trips, diving excursión, rent a kayak or take taxis to the other island. Taxi between islands cost 25Rm before 6pm. Night here around 100Rm. Have a lunch around 30 Rm for two.

The location is great. The price and the pictures shown on Agoda are very misleading. We had an overpriced AC room barely enough to put our luggage. The toilet wasn't working well. WiFi worked only at the restaurant and only 5 people can connect at a time. The management was not keen on customer service as people come anyway. Its an island. Sorry, I have seen better hospitality in places more remote and exotic.
