Bayview Restaurant

Bit hit and miss with everything. Food was average, poor choices for beer (2) and they didn't have the one I picked haha 😆. Great location, views fantastic so I wasn't too bothered about much. Servers and staff seemed to be mostly foreign nationals which seems a theme on the island as at least three other places were the same. Maybe locals don't want the work, who knows. The staff were efficient either way. Lovely place to sit out the front on a sunny day. Check the small print on menu, gratuity may be added automatically.

Very nice place to get lunch or eat a takeaway pizza in the evening. The service from staff was great, all of them very kindly. About the food, one day we got fish and chips and honestly was better than expected, not the same with homemade lemonade and ice tea, completely avoid order these. Another day we ordered few takeaway Pizzas around 9pm when every other place around is not serving food so they saved us.

Food was only ok. I had fish and chips. Fish was nice but chips were not crunchy, probably cooking at too low a temperature, and just ok. The toilets, however, were terrible. Really badly looked after and grotty. Nothing to dry hands with either. Made me think of what the kitchen could be like... It's like a place that does not bother with looking after itself, and just goes downhill and everything starts to get a bit dirty and worn, and no money is spent in upkeep. We sat outside and I didn't see this until after I had eaten, and went in to the bathroom.

Ordered a salad and soup. Very little options for drinks, gin and tonic came in wine glass (couldn’t get much tonic in). Wooden cutlery ?! Food was ok. Perfect location on a lovely day. Seats outside and inside.

The best restaurant in Inish mor and the best food I tried in entire Ireland. Thank you so much for the amazing food and good service staff. We have enjoyed the dinner and the lunch the next day. The fish is lovely amazing. Really good. we loved this cusine. Lovely service from the blonde lady that had served us for dinner on the 17th of June. She informed about details on the menu and she was very kind. Thank you to Dani Barcelona and the lady from Ecaduor for the lunch. Keep it up!!!! Best place in Inish mor.

Wow what a great find. Host was lovely and attentive. Husband said it was the best chowder he ever had. Great choice of soft drinks, try the Coco Lemon such a unique taste. Great cocktails too. Thoroughly enjoyed all the food and what a great view of the bay. Highly recommended!

The place was nice along with the people. It's a cozy atmosphere good for children. I ordered a pizza and it was okay. The base was a bit soggy and the sauce was quite watery, although it was a very good flavour. I also got a hot chocolate and it was delicious. It was definitely more of a cafe place than a restaurant. The music was also terrible.

Do not order granola breakfast, it would not fill a toddler never mind an adult for €10 a ripoff. Ask for a pot of tea, otherwise they bring you a small glass cup with water and a tea bag in it. Best to avoid if your looking for a decent breakfast. Bacon/rashers were cremated.

We ate dinner here both night we were on Inis Mor. We went back the second night because the first night was so good. The service was outstanding both nights Night one I had the Calamari starter. It had red and orange peppers along with pineapple and a coconut chili sauce. The calamari was wonderful! I had the Lobster Ravioli with a lemon cream sauce. Wow, just wow! The ravioli was great, with flavorful lobster inside the black pasta. The lemon cream sauce was an excellent accompaniment for the pasta. My wife got the kids pasta with bolonaise. She loved the portion size and although it was on the kids menu it was flavorful enough for an adult. We returned night two to try some new items. I got the soup of the day which was a very tasty potato and leek soup. For my main I opted for the Green Curry Catch (Salmon). The salmon was excellent, as was the black risotto. The blistered cherry tomatoes were a great addition. The green curry foam placed in the pickled onion was fabulous. What an addition it made to the flavor of the fish! This is a must hit place if you are on Inis Mor.

Beautiful location on the bay with outdoor seating on a beautiful Friday. Food and drinks. Loved the rum lemonade. They were very busy but our food and drinks were on time. Delicious Cajun chicken sandwich with fries.

Bayview Restaurant, Inis Mór, shockingly bad. Waitress, blonde, American, rude and abrupt, missed half our order which everyone at our table heard clearly. She muttered something about it being our mistake. She served broken, chipped, greasy plates and laughed, saying they probably weren't the best choice. When I asked for different plates, the waiter was clearly annoyed. Food was expensive and some was completely inedible, garlic-bread was grey, raw, grilled dough. We asked to send it back and take it off our order. In place of an apology or offer of something different, the same American woman told myself and my family, that is, my parents and my teenage children that we were very unpleasant to serve. The place is dirty, the toilets in such a disgusting state. Whole experience, a disaster. Stay well away from this place.

If you are looking for an amazing restaurant on Inishmor .I highly recommend visiting The Bay View Restaurant. The food was amazing. and The Staff are all so professional, kind and genuinely care about their guests. The chowder , Fish&Chips and desserts tasted delicious. I had such a great experience that I returned immediately Very clean restaurant and restrooms. This establishment rates five stars and more! It should be noted I am originally from Dublin Ireland and lived in the United States for over thirty years and served in the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great reason from all my life experiences and travels all over the world. I definitely will return in the near future! A must visit if you are looking for great food. You definitely won't be disappointed!

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 After spending the day bicycling around the island, my sister and I stopped off at Bay View to grab lunch before going gift shopping. We ordered a pizza, chowder soup, and two sweet iced teas. The food was delicious, but the best part of the meal had to be the sweet iced teas. Holy guacamole. I kid you not, this had to be THE best sweet iced tea I've ever had. It was amazing. Service was wonderful, and also had an enjoyable time conversing with another patron. Thank you for helping create happy memories!

I had been traveling from early morning, so I was really hungry... I arrived with the ferry and as the restaurant was just near the pier, it was one of my first options for food. I had a lovely fish and chips, the fish was nicely cooked with a good amount of batter, the chips where above average and the Guinness was served as it should be served... Nice food - the place a little bit average...

What a horrible experience in the name of trying to profit from tourists. We arrived at the restaurant at about 3pm and waitress told us about 30 minute food delivery. Boat leaves at 5pm sharp. We waited until 4:40 for the food. At the end I had to refuse to pay for food we did t consume. I still paid for the portion of the bill (drinks,wine and a few items she could pack for us). However our experience suffered. They could have said sorry wait is too long before boat departure at 5pm. Anyway don't go to this restaurant after 3pm if you have a boat to catch @5pm. You would be wasting your time, and money and leave hungry. I don't know how the food tastes. Therefor this review is for the restaurant's integrity and timeliness.

What a great night. The staff was fantastic, especially the gal who was our waitress ( I think her name was Hannah but she is studying law at limerick college). She was very patient with all of our questions and complex order. The food was very good, the deserts as well. The locals said it was pricey but I didn't think so for the quality. I wouldn't order the ceviche again, but everything else, crab cake, ravioli, raw oysters all were great appetizers. I had the lobster which was very good even though I prefer mine steamed Maine style. My daughter really enjoyed her FRUTTI DI MARE although they didn't have any pappardelle noodles and served it with linguini instead. All in all a great meal we thoroughly enjoyed.

You just got to the island and everyone on your boat is panicking about renting a bike to go to the ruins. Forget about it! Stop in here and have lunch. It is good- we had a pizza- and rent a bike later. There are plenty and you won't be rushed to make your boat back at 4.

Very cute restaurant looking over a beautiful scenery. The service was a little slow (though we were in a group of 6), but the meal was well worth it. I ordered the chicken and gravy and it was absolutely delicious--highly recommend.

The absolute best place for a meal in Inis Mor if you're after something else than the usual dishes.

Absolute worst experience nearly ruined our visit to the Aran Islands. We took a ferry to the island. There were 6 of us. It took them 45 minutes to serve our drinks. After an our we cancelled a very big food order, not about to have spent all day at this slow, disorganised, disappointed, understaffed restaurant. Next time we go to Aran Islands we will avoid this tourist trap like the plague!

Nothing but the Bay View was open on low season in Inismore, but we had a really good surprise. The food is fresh with generous plate, well presented and tasty. The owner is smiley and helpful. So, why 4 stars instead of 5? Because it is overpriced, 88€ for two at diner, sparkling water at 10... and 10% gratuity added without any explanation. Pity

We got off the ferry around 3 for a two day stay and as we were pretty hungry we stopped here first. It was a little crowded with people who, like us, had just gotten off the ferry but a friendly couple shared their table and it was lovely. We had fish and chips and the crab burger and both were outstanding. Highly recommend.

Modern interior. Beautiful views over the harbor. Our food was very tasty , fresh and beautifully presented. They use local ingredients. Service was attentive and prompt. Highly recommended.

I headed out to the islands as part of my vacation to Ireland. I was lucky enough to walk my way into the restaurant the second night on the island. The interior is small but very nice. The portions are good sized and the food is excellent. I got the lobster and it came out on a pizza like tray with every part of the lobster. It tasted very good and I ate every bite of it. It was very fresh along with all the other meals the rest of my family ordered. If you every stay a night or even to stop in for lunch. I strongly recommend the bay view restaurant.

Bay View has just opened but has it all together from the start. The lunch menu looked good and is served all day with specials for dinner. We went for dinner and were very pleased. Frutti de Mare with a tomato cream sauce over fettuccine was excellent. The staff and owners are very nice and helpful. They are only allowed to serve wine to began with but should have a full license soon. When you go to Inismor give them a try.
