We had the most incredible meal at Bayviews in Bernie. Everything was perfect, from our waiter Gregory who was so welcoming and attentive, to the gorgeous views. They had thoughtfully lowered the blinds as the sun was quite intense which I thought was very thoughtful. The food was unparalleled for the north-west coast of Tasmania. We had the Eye Fillet which was cooked to perfection and the Beef Tartare which was divine but the true star of the show was the Swordfish Sashimi (sometimes made with Blue Eyed Trevalla) which was worth the visit on its own. Pure magic. Can’t recommend highly enough. Dan & Marc

The food at Bayviews is amazing, I highly recommend. As a vegetarian travelling for work I quite often come across the same menu options most regional places i go. This was a great discovery tonight and hopefully I will get to dine again in the warmer, lighter months and get to take in the views. Loved the cheese platter to cap off my night ❤️

We had dinner at Bayviews Restaurant a couple of days ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was prompt and friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised with some complimentary appetizers — a lovely bonus! The blue eye trevalla sashimi was beautifully seasoned with an Asian twist, including hints of lemongrass. It was my first time trying this fish as sashimi, and it worked wonderfully. The pumpkin gnocchi was delicious, pairing nicely with pumpkin seeds and feta for great texture and balance. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the duck maryland. The accompanying spring roll-style wrap filled with duck was a clever and tasty innovation, and the duck maryland itself was perfectly tender and juicy. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience in Burnie!

Steak was perfectly cooked. The potato croquet added great texture to the dish. Service was great.

Went on Saturday night and they gave us a nice table next to the glass window so we had a good view of the beach. Also they gave us complementary entree of this salad on cracker thing which was nice. I had their steak with cafe de Paris butter. I enjoyed this steak, I like their twist of croquetted potato instead of the usual roast potato or chips. My husband tried wallaby steak for the first time and while I didnt try it, he said it was nothing special, not something he would order again. Staff are lovely. I was happy with the experience.

This is a must stop for a 6 star lunch or early dinner along the coast to capture the most amazing scenery. We almost ate at the fish n chip shop below but then sighted the front door, on the ocean side, to this hidden gem. Elevated views of Bass Strait from our table after a picturesque drive along the coast from Devonport to Wynyard. We are in Tassie for 10 days and I doubt we will eat this well at another restaurant whilst here .

High quality food with beautiful sunset view. We tried Chef’s Tasting Menu (6 courses) and they were all super delicious, just a bit too full for us so we had to take away the desserts. I love the yellow fin tuna sashimi and the pork scotch - very flavourful dishes. Service was great and efficient. Location is perfect. Must-visit restaurant in Burnie for sure 👍

A respectable dining experience by the beach in Burnie. Everyone at our table liked all the dishes including the complementary ones. A decent range on the alcohol menu was available also. The waitress was warm, welcoming and attentive in her manner. The pricing was fairly reasonable, at around 50 dollars or a little less for mains. Probably one of the best options in Burnie for a more elegant but not over the top dining.

Yelp
Great food, drinks & service. Ever changing menu and specials. Dessert tasting platter is always a winner! Wonderful view out over the beach and the ocean.

Yelp
Really disappointed. The manager is very arrogant. Would not serve restaurant appetizers in the lounge. Very snooty. Said those in the lounge are offered a more casual menu. What a lost opportunity for this business. Treated upstanding cruise passengers like they were lesser just because they were in casual attire. We travelled thousands of miles to see Tasmania and feel the manager's attitude does not reflect everything else we saw in Tasmania. Great location, great views and a great menu. I will be sure to follow up with a similar Google review and ensure the cruise line does not recommend this business.
