It was a chaotic evening with a storm rolling in while we were on the lawn having drinks with our family. We called Bayzo’s and were told they had two high tops available for walk-ins. We were lucky to get inside quickly and to a table, where Ainsley provided excellent service. The food was hot and very good. We ordered the duck liver pate, Brie, and ham & cheese croquettes to start. For entrees, we ordered the chicken and mushroom pie, lamb shank, tortellini, and fish cakes. The atmosphere was cozy and the live music was a bonus. Will definitely be back!

I've been to Balzo's many times the salmon dish is fabulous worth a visit!

Google
dreadful food, horrible drinks. inedible! amateur waitstaff and so noisy from a really bad house band.. good luck if you can even find the place..

Google
Bayzos is closed for Covid but they have turned the terrace into an enclosed bar called the Frost bar and they have individual igloo's that you can reserve. They are amazing with heat lighted ice cube looking tables blanket covered Adirondack chairs and Bluetooth speaker. They have thought of everything. It was a wonderful time we reserved at 330 pm so we got to take in a sunset with a glass of wine and charcuterie board. What a great night out.

We dined here our first night while staying at the resort. For a supposedly luxury resort, the ambiance is nice but the service was slow and the food was very disappointing. Most of the food was mediocre, notably the strawberry shortcake which was dry and stale, and the romaine “hearts” salad which was literally a whole head of lettuce that ricocheted pieces all over the table as I was sawing it into manageable pieces. There were very few vegetarian options (just pasta and the aforementioned head o’ lettuce). And beware, the black coffee was $5 per cup (filled only 2/3) with no free refills so imagine my surprise when I saw an extra $10 on the bill for about 8oz of coffee. Not a great start to this very expensive vacation.

Google
Absolutely brutal… I asked to put a Stanley cup final game to 3 people and all told me yes and no One put it one.. my wife’s food and mine were burnt and 2/3 kids food was good.. horrible experience for the price and venue. We also waited 40 min to have someone take our order after I went up… These are difficult times with staffing but this sucked!

Google
I recently dined at Bayzo’s Pub, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The steak was undercooked and completely flavorless, making it very unappetizing. The shrimp pasta was overly salty, and the pasta itself tasted awful. To top it off, they forgot to bring out our appetizer, which never arrived even after we mentioned it. Overall, I do not recommend coming to this restaurant.

Google
Natesha was a fantastic person at the bar, very very outgoing and made us feel very welcome here, I will definitely come back again, she is wonderful 🙏🏻😘✌️

Yelp
Great ambiance in this old school pub at the Ocean's Edge resort. Ordered the Steak Burger while the wife had the Beets & Burrata Salad. Entrees were delicious. Burger was perfectly cooked and the combo of blue cheese and sautéed onions really brought out the flavor. Burger cooked perfectly. Wife really enjoyed the salad. For dessert we ordered the Sticky Toffee Pudding and Cinnamon Bun Bread Pudding. This is where things went a bit off the rails. Sticky Toffee Pudding was very good, however, Cinnamon Bun Bread Pudding was a complete fail. Dry and burnt. Was actually surprised they served it at all. Ended up sending it back. Aside from dessert fail, very enjoyable meal. 1st week of new menu and we enjoyed our meals. Live music, nice ambiance. Would eat here again.

Yelp
We loved Bayzo's. Especially since everyone thinks my boyfriend looks like Jeff Bezos so I had to get a picture of him with the menu. LOL. Davina and the other male bartender were lovely for our long weekend stay. We didn't eat here but the staff were great. Thanks Bayzo's!

Yelp
Came here Saturday night and we were the first customers. Within an hour the place was packed and we were having a great time due to Eric. What a great bartender he is! He made us happy and made us laugh. Thank you Eric for giving us an experience we will not forget!

Karen

Yelp
The food was exceptional. We got the Salad,Tikka, and Ice cream. The service was extraordinary our waited definitely had a pep in his step! Ambiance was excellent with live music playing for us. I would definitely recommend to go to this place!

Liz F.

Yelp
The food is usually good and the people there are really friendly but the last time I went I was a little disappointed with the menu and there was no lamb chops and other good foods that are usually there

Karin R.

Yelp
Loved our wonderful and delicious meal with the fabulous Nick and Natesha (she's the bomb). Overall, the food was great. The calamari was especially superb and the service and warmth were even better! We will be back for sure!

John Q. P.

Yelp
The problem here is obviously the management. The space could be amazingly nice, but the layout just doesn't work; there isn't a calm table in the place, the ceiling lighting is harsh, you cannot escape the TV screens, and the AC blows hard. The food was mostly mediocre: the clam chowder was a stew with huge potato cubes, my glass of pinot noir was terrible (stored in a hot room?), the salad was not fresh (but it was very well composed.) The burger and fries were very good, and the service was excellent (thank you, Flora!) This could be an awesome place. Reading other reviews, especially of the resort, makes me think that the management just doesn't understand hospitality. There is no excuse for this not being excellent; it would be easy to achieve that.

Yelp
Great service, good food, relaxed atmosphere. A wonderful recipe for dinner with friends!

Yelp
Located in a roomy cavern in a hotel basement, Bayzo's is a good spot for a drink in the sleepy town of Brewster. We stopped in for pre-wedding festivities with a large group and found the spot crowded and convivial. Although we were apparently too late for dinner, the vodka martinis were nice and quick, and the bar made for a cozy spot for connecting with old friends.

Colleen K.

Yelp
The service and atmosphere were excellent but the scotch egg was really bland. Our entrees were average. Overall, it was not a great meal.

Susan M.

Yelp
Ambience is very nice. Service was ok. Food was sub par. Autumn Harvest pasta had no taste, very little kale and very little butternut squash. When we let our server know there was an apology but didn't comp in anyway. We are local and live within 7 mins. drive. Didn't impress.

Yelp
It was a pleasure to share my girlfriend's birthday here a couple months ago. The food, service and atmosphere really were top notch. That was the first time we stayed at Ocean's Edge. The experience at Bayzou's Pub was the driving force for us to return for a second time this past weekend. Like clockwork, Bayzou's delivered and put a cherry on top to our weekend getaway to the cape. Huge shoutout to Erik. Admittedly, despite him telling me I forget if it is "with a c" or "with a k". Regardless of this, his service is exceptional. He truly delivers an elevated, enjoyable dining experience and is a true professional in his craft. Make sure to try his old fashioned and his espresso martini you will not regret it. Thank you Erik for giving my girlfriend and I a place that we now plan on retreating to regularly when we have the time off to do so. Bayzou's is AWESOME! *also want to note they are handicap and wheelchair accessible even at the bar where we had a member of our party who was disabled and in a wheelchair and the staff was extremely accommodating thank you so much for this*

Yelp
My family and I had an absolute BLAST tonightt !! Live music and delicious drinks !! Unbelievable staff, especially Eric who was very attentive and personable!! Thank you so much

Yelp
My partner and my dined at Bayzo's Pub, hoping for something simple & delicious. We were not disappointed. A quiet cave-like experience, while satisfied our culinary desires.

Michael Z.

Yelp
My lady and I won a trip to this resort and didn't know much about it. However, when we went to dinner at the Pub, Natesha was a very informative server and offered exceptional service. Would highly recommend this place!
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
High 5 to Natesha our wonderful server who made us feel like royalty! Amazing service! Mid week girls trip and an excellent dinner, drinks and A+ service. We could not have asked for more. Food was on point! Steak frites was just super, scallops were amazing! Kudos to Natesha for making it such an enjoyable experience from start to finish!

C M.

Yelp
Server was overwhelmed. Two of our five meals had to be sent back. One was not cooked at all and the other was wrong. Just an all out bad experience.

Scott K.

Yelp
Went for family dinner. Overall rating 5 out of 10 at best. Ordered 2 steak frites, pub burger and Mac and cheese. All meals were strangely cold on first taste. Sent all meals back. Even my Cisco grey lady draft beer was flat, unbelievable. Unfortunately second round of meals wasn't much better. Steaks and burgers were decent, Mac and cheese, fries were terrible. Manager provided complementary drink but didn't make up for the very sub par meals. Would definitely recommend you to pursue another option in the area for sure. Amazing to believe a resort of this caliber with such a significant investment in hospitality business would have such oversight in the food quality.

Peter E H.

Yelp
Ambiance is welcoming, food is better than expected but the service is very slow. Took at least 45 minutes before food came for a party of two. But if you're not in any hurry then worth a try.

Yelp
Had dinner here the first night at the Resort. Very cool pub atmosphere. My husband and I had soups ( tomato basil bisque and NE clam chowder). We both thought they were fantastic!! We also had lobster rolls. They were overstuffed and delicious. We definitely would recommend this place- even if you're not a guest at the Resort.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
The service was shockingly bad, to the point we were serving ourselves by going to the bar to get water, and getting some our own plates. Our whole section was ignored. We stayed at Ocean's Edge for family reasons on the Cape, and enjoyed the Harry Potter week at the resort with our kids. However, this pub was so unprepared for the guests staying at the resort. Simply some of the worst and slowest service you could imagine. Our simple dinner with kids took over 2 hours. My wife's salmon was inedible, fish was spoiled and we just couldn't deal with sending it back.

Yelp
In second night at the resort, a Sunday night, after like 30 min we got a table for 2. nice but noisy place. Personnel nice and polite. Good food for price. No reservation.

Terri G.

Yelp
I wish I had read more reviews before bringing friends from off Cape to enjoy the piano "concert" at Bayzo's pub on Saturday night. The Ocean Edge emails promoted it. First, there was no piano or piano player!!! Second, the food and cocktail service was beyond AWFUL!!! We sat at our table for 10 minutes before our very unfriendly wait person appeared and asked us for our order. We hadn't even been given menus! She brought menus and placed 3 glasses of water on the table - ALL in front of one person. No ice and something was floating in the water...we asked for fresh water and ordered drinks - pretty simple. 30 minutes later we were still waiting for our drinks. BTW, the room was not crowded at all. We hailed the manager. He apologized and finally brought our drinks. NOT AS WE ORDERED. For food, we just ordered Pub burgers. It took about 30 minutes. The manager, and not the wait person, delivered the food. (Though she passed by our table, she never stopped or made eye contact with any one at our table the entire evening. Weird.) Of course the burgers arrived- not as ordered and were not even the quality of McDonalds! Bacon on the burger was not cooked. ugh. Long and unhappy story. The highlight was the guitarist /singer. Very good entertaining. The manager comped us a round of drinks- but then we waited for our check for 30 minutes. Overall the evening was truely disappointing. Shame. So much potential there. I won't be going again any time soon. Had MUCH better service at Olivers where we stopped on our way home.

Daniel V.

Yelp
Had a crazy night here. The party at the table next to us brought their own speaker and blasted their music. We complained and the staff did nothing about this. Instead of asking the party to leave or turn off their music, they took a poll, table by table, to see if the rest of the guests cared. We left when the party drunk singing to country music got out of control. The staff didn't care. Also, the food is over priced and not very good. They brought out two entrees thirty minutes later than the others. They gave us a discount but they ruined our birthday dinner.

Katelyn T.

Yelp
Very casual atmosphere, but nice and welcoming! This spot is the more casual of the Ocean Edge restaurants but perfect for comfort food and drinks. I've been coming to Ocean Edge the past four years and had never tried this place but will definitely be returning. My chicken was excellent, everything was cooked perfectly, and our waiter was super friendly!
google avatar

Foodie L.

Yelp
Fast dinner pizza and Cesar salad with chicken was ok service good I will try again soon different menu

Steve G.

Yelp
The food was fantastic and the service was spot on. We were in town for a college visit and decided to stay at the Ocean's End. Having Bayzo's Pub on site was a pleasant surprise. The bartenders (Catherine and Jeff) were extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the surroundings which helped us out tremendously. I would highly recommend this place.

Paul M.

Yelp
Been here multiple times and always leave satisfied. The lobster roll is largest I have had on the Cape which justifies its price. It's also one of the best. The burger and appetizers are also great and the pub atmosphere is enjoyable. Highly recommend
google avatar

Alec W.

Yelp
Good lobster roll and minestrone soup. Nice Pub atmosphere.

Yelp
Started with the best clam chowder I have ever had. It was incredibly decadent. My husband had the crab cake. Very little filler, pretty much all crab meat and amazing. I then had the sirloin. The mashed potatoes were hearty and carrots were crisp and delicious. Great accompaniments to a wonderful steak. Husband had the burger, cooked perfect with crispy onions and thick bacon. Service was outstanding. No complaints.
google avatar

J. B.

Yelp
I've had some very good pizza here, but I wasn't expecting much for dinner - so I was very pleasantly surprised. Delicious crab cakes, almost identical to the ones at Ocean Terrace upstairs (but I did appreciate the differing styles). I had a great sirloin here, and my wife very much enjoyed her swordfish. Everything was cooked properly and seasoned well. Dessert left something to be desired, but the wine list was surprisingly affordable for a resort that is quite the opposite.

Ana C.

Yelp
We were a party of 8 who came for dinner and the experience was terrible. The food was overpriced and the service was ridiculously slow and inexperienced. The Maitre d' couldn't control a raucous, belligerent party seated nearby and in the end, we had to leave. Seems like it was a really bad night at Bayzo's, but I wouldn't chance it again.
google avatar

Kim C.

Yelp
Very cool underground pub atmosphere. Nice wine beer list and burger is top notch. Great option for upscale pub dining at the Cape.
google avatar

Lucinda H.

Yelp
One of my favorite pubs on Cape Cod. Ted the bartender is one of the nicest in the area, pleasant and remembers my fav cocktail!... always comfortable sitting at the bar for a light dinner and cocktail. High on my list for a "go to" spot. Thank you!
google avatar

Willy S.

Yelp
Have never been here in my life. About to head over. 6 minute walk. Will report back either later tonight or tomorrow morning :) three stars for now, subject to change pending my upcoming experience.
google avatar

Fred R.

Yelp
Very unpleasant experience! Paid bill with card, when bill came back authorized, I signed it leaving a tip and walked out! As soon as I left, waitress chased me outside telling me I didn't sign slip, which 3 others at table acknowledge that I did because we discussed the tip. The waitress brought me to manager who also insisted I didn't sign. They both "Swear to God" I didn't sign and I didn't even see him in the restaurant. So after a decent meal, a horrible follow up will preclude me, a local, from visiting again!! Sorry Ocean Edge you need to watch your employees attitudes! Very poor PR!
google avatar

Catherine K.

Yelp
Very warm inviting pub which had a kid's buffet set up with all sorts of kid-friendly foods. Perfect so kids don't have to wait! Service was fast. Server knew what we wanted before we ordered! Literally! Beers were good. Had the margherita pizza which was very yummy. We'll go back.

Yelp
Staying at Ocean Edge Mansion ... This pub was convenient for dinner and it was quite good. Killer fish tacos, great local draft beer on tap, and really solid NE Clam Chowder. Overall great spot for a good meal!
google avatar

Lou R.

Yelp
Staying at Ocean Edge. Nice casual atmosphere and food was very good. Enjoyed turkey club, chicken panini, and lobster rolls (delicious).

Yelp
This pub is a wonderful place! I had just proposed to my girlfriend and wanted to meet her parents and my parents there for a drink that evening to celebrate before heading to dinner. The bar staff down there could not have been more nicer and helpful to us! They provided us with two high top tables with hors douerves and would fill up our drinks without us even realizing! The food was fantastic! Had the wings, crab cakes, salad, and other appetizers and they were all prepared very well and elegantly. Will definitely be back here the next time we're at the Cape! HIGHLY recommended!

Kevin G.

Yelp
Careful the building may collapse on you while you eat. Like the rest of the resort. Look it up. Best words to describe this place: snobby, obnoxious, snooty, uppity. Full of the worst the cape has to offer and as it's inspected by the Brewster Building Department you know it's unsafe.
google avatar

Laura B.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere... Food is very mediocre and overpriced. Service is VERY slow. Would not recommend.
google avatar

Terry P.

Yelp
Just had the chicken dinner at this restaurant...tasted like leftover micro waved chicken...

Steve M.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in after checking on our place. It's nice that it's open in the off season. Being the middle of the afternoon, we at lunch at the bar before driving back off-Cape. I just had a bowl of the clam chowder and my wife had a turkey sandwich. The chowder had a thick consistency and a fair amount of clams and potatoes but served warm, not hot. The turkey sandwich was underwhelming and pretty much without taste. The best part of the meal were the steak fries. The price is no bargain. A bowl of chowder, a turkey sandwich and 2 glasses of water was $30. The bar is attractive with fine woodwork and some interesting nautical artifacts. Not worth a special trip.
google avatar

Sharnee K.

Yelp
I went last night w/ my husband & 3 kids. The atmosphere was dark & loud, which fit my family well on that particular night as my one year old was very vocal during dinner. I was lured in by another persons post about a kids buffet but there was no such thing. When we were seated, we were not even offered a kids menu. We ended up ordering a pizza, which of course is kid friendly and I wasn't miffed until I realized that every other table near us had kids and they were all given kids menus. Not sure why or how that happened but we made due. The food was really good. I had a turkey panini that was really full of flavor but was a little heavy on the turkey (too thick). My husband ordered the lobster roll & it was big and full of flavor as well. Overall we definitely return to eat there & would recommend it to others to try it out.

Julie I.

Yelp
Probably off the beaten path for tourists, Bayzo's Pub, is inside the Ocean Edge Resort and Golf Club. Formerly the Nickerson Estate, a mansion reminiscent of Newport, the pub is downstairs, done in English Pub style, a classy but casually comfortable place to stop in for lunch, while out touring. The food is good, chowder excellent, service friendly. Walking around the grounds, with a view from the terrace of P-town, adds that extra punch if you have guests.
google avatar

Ryan B.

Yelp
This is a really warm and inviting pub down in the basement of the mansion at the Ocean Edge Resort. There are several flat screens which let you catch up on the latest sports scores. The atmosphere is perfect for a pub at a nice hotel like this. It has a warm, dark and rustic look- yet it still feels clean and modern. The exposed brick and concrete go well with the cherry wood beams and bar. There is a piano in the corner that I assume is played during the main season. I can only imagine how nice that must sound down in the pub. It just feels like a place to enjoy a nice scotch or a cold craft beer. That being said, their beer selection is a bit on the thin side. I believe they had like four beers on draught. The fish and chips were delicious. Our waiter, Dorin, was very attentive during our several visits here. On our first visit, he picked up on the fact that we had just arrived at the hotel and came by to talk about some local attractions and even gave us a few pamphlets and a map that really helped us figure out what we wanted to do and see. The bar tender, Annie was also very pleasant and super nice. This level of interaction was strangely missing from many restaurants we went to while on Cape Cod. I actually enjoyed the Bayzo's pub more than the "high-end" Ocean View Terrace restaurant at the resort. If the owners add a few more good quality draught beers on tap I would have little need to venture out of the hotel for this sort of fare. I would also suggest putting a more obvious sign down the stairwell pointing to this pub. The sign currently makes it sound like there are just restrooms down there!
