A wonderful restaurant in the centre of Madrid! We enjoyed the delicious meals we were served! The staff was polite and helpful! Very good prices and quality. Highly recommended!

Google
No much personal attention from staff. Only two waiters for the whole upstairs so understandable but not making a fancy experience. Luckily we were seated onbtheir way to kitchen so we got orders and reminders through. Food was very tasty, good mouth feel and indeed much!

Google
The food was absolutely amazing… The goat cheese salad was the absolute best goat cheese we have ever eaten. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned, and the squid was so tender. The duck was better than some iPad and restaurants in Paris. Even the cheesecake was amazing. It was so light and flavorful. This restaurant is a must visit.

Google
The Seasonal Menu was disappointing. The chicken was served raw, and the tuna tataki was of poor quality—lacking freshness and overly fatty. Overall, our experience was unpleasant and unappetizing. I cannot recommend this restaurant, as the food was subpar and felt cheap.

Google
oxtail croquettes were incredible!! highly recommend. Had the baby octopus for main and was very impressed. For dessert we had a selection of the desserts which were also tasty. Amazing value, fabulous service and great atmosphere! Would definitely return

Google
This restaurant is very busy and appears to be very popular. I found the service very slow and the food very disappointing. There was a lingering taste of oil on everything giving me the impression that the oil was not hot enough when the prawn skewers and the chips were emersed. Prices were extremely reasonable but considering I ate almost nothing I would much rather pay a premium for premium food.

Google
The place and service was good. Looks nice enough inside. I did not care much for the food though. We were a larger group so maybe that had something to do with it. Patatas were good but entrees were a miss. I wouldn't eat here again.

Google
We went for a Christmas dinner with a fixed menu. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere and its location is great near the city center. The food was great and exceeded our expectations, the starters, meals and desserts were served with a high quality and sufficient size. I noticed some bad reviews and was a little bit hesitant but for our dinner every thing went very well. The price was 42€ per person for the whole menu which I thing is really fair.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance, but chill vibe. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend the Patatas Bravas, croquetas, Risotto and pulpo con patatas mashed. Muy Bien!

Carlos A.

Yelp
Spectacular, as usual. Good, service and environment are second to none. Will keep coming.

Yelp
White table clothes, fancy interior, but modest pricing. I visited here with a few coworkers while in Madrid for a convention. We showed up at 7:30 and were he only table and I was a bit concerned. However by 9:30 the place was completely full. I ordered the Sole stuffed with salmon covered in hollandaise. It was good, although lacked a bit in flavor. We manly snacked on Tapas which were all good. We shared 2 bottles of white wine. The "cheese lasagna" dessert was good, although it was basically fruit and yogurt granola parfait. The service was a bit slow, but that is typical of Madrid. The pricing was extremely reasonable with the entrees averaging around €11 With so many good options in Madrid I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to come back, but it's definitely not a bad option.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere, decor and food. Friendly service and modest prices that won't break your bank account. A must when visiting Madrid, right on Chueca neighborhood. Highly recommended!!!

Yelp
My first stop after arriving in Madrid, Bazaar's beautiful, bright, upscale decor and its shelves lined with wines, vinegars, pastas, and more delicious-looking pantry staples drew me in right away! And its flavors did NOT disappoint! It's Mediterranean-inspired menu features creative dishes that are packed with bold flavors. We started with the poached egg salad with bacon and black olive sauce--the salad came in a mason jar with the poached egg and olives on the side. After dumping the salad out, the bold, tart vinaigrette coats all the leaves perfectly, and the savory elements of the egg, pork, and olives pair so nicely together! We also had the "white artichoke with skinless shrimp" dish, which came with 5 shelled shrimps on skewers, grilled cherry tomatoes, and amazing grilled artichoke hearts that were packed with flavor, all served over arugula. The fresh yet contrasting flavors of this dish were unbelievable, and the herbal, pesto-like dressing went just perfectly with the lightness of the other components! Overall, this restaurant turned out to be an amazing gem, and I would come back in a heartbeat to try out more of their offerings and enjoy the beautiful setting!

Yelp
Best meal I had in Madrid by far! The restaurant was so cute. White shelves lined with wines and books. The restaurant is seated up off the street a little so you can overlook the street for a good view! We started with the tres salad, the pasta with shrimp, and the salmon with vegetables. The staff was very friendly. The food came out fast. The overall experience was great. You need to visit this restaurant. They were also friendly to different languages which is always a plus. The prices are also very reasonable, 10-15 euros per meal, and these were full sized meals not tapas.

Jared S.

Yelp
Location is perfect, and the atmosphere is truly inspired. The service is spotty, and the food was pretty delicious. All the tables around us got dessert, so clearly that is a specialty of this place.

Cameron L.

Yelp
My Iberian lasagne and my partner's steak were both several degrees beyond overcooked. (Many establishments in Madrid close for August as folks take off for the holidays. But Bazaar was undaunted, having seemingly cooked their meat dishes weeks before when, I assume, their chef was still in town.) However, the gazpacho and the mushroom croquettes were solid, the decor was charming, and neighboring tables with pasta dishes seemed happy enough. So I was planning to give Bazaar a three-star review when the first rumble hit. Then another, louder, like a thunderclap warning of storms to come. In short, I'm grateful "Starbucks" is the universal language for "emergency bathroom." My boyfriend followed close behind, and the whole thing would have been pretty traumatic if not for the fact that this exact thing happened to Charlotte on an episode of Sex and the City. And look, would I hypothetically convert to Judaism for my partner, were he not a Presbyterian? Yes! But I don't want to have to prove it by taking an emergency dump in the men's room of a Starbucks in Madrid.

Ehren B.

Yelp
Really wonderful atmosphere and decor, friendly service and delicious food with an extensive list of choices on the menu. I highly recommend giving this one a try. The bread is delicious and the arugula salad is nice but the white onion on it would've been better if cut a bit finer. The chicken brochette is highly recommended. The chicken couscous (Ingrid Bergman) is a fantastic presentation and delicious.

Agathe D.

Yelp
Frankly the place and look of it is appealing but on the menu one out of two dishes is good/bad . You have a 50/50 chance to choose a good one (classic dishes) or eat one with a terrible texture and no interest ( do not go for a fusion style plate ) Do not trust the sommelier choose your own wine. Service is ok and with a smile

Jen W.

Yelp
A nice variety of food, reasonable prices, good service all encompassed by a nice but casual environment. I had the chicken curry with sotonghon noodles with a nice bottle of Albariño and I had no complaints whatsoever. Most definitely worth a visit if you're in Madrid.

Jackie S.

Yelp
This was recommended for being a cheaper alternative with good food in Madrid. The prices were reasonable (under 10 euros), but the service was terrible! We ordered a tuna dish but returned it back to the kitchen, since we thought we ordered another dish. The staff didn't ask if we wanted something else. The plates were also just placed on the table without any explanation of what it was. The food was okay, not that great. English menus available. We had: - Cod with cuttlefish oil and pesto [Bacalao Confitado] - The fish was cooked well, but there wasn't much to the plate. It was salty due to the cuttlefish oil. - Shrimp carpaccio [Carpaccio Gambas] - The dish had a really salty sauce. It was different, but not what I would have eaten. One of the servers walked around and asked if we wanted bread, but we declined that. The restaurant has a nice chic decor. In addition, itt was one of the few restaurants that opened before 8:30pm. We waited about 15 minutes in line.

Kasey H.

Yelp
Great mix of excellent food and very reasonable prices. 11,50€ for the meal of the day including a great first course of Gaspacho, an excellent main course of stewed meats and veggies over pasta, a great dessert, and their delicious house red wine. All of the food was excellent, and the service was friendly, I would definitely go back again.

Anne E.

Yelp
Went here on the recommendation from Lonely Planet- it was a big disappointment. Mostly tourists in restaurant, didn't have a white wine available by the glass, wait staff were sullen and service slow. When we asked for recommendations on what to get, we were met with a blank stare. Mistakenly ordered five of the "tapas" only to find they were enormous, easily entree size. Definitely not tapas. Food we did receive was bland, very generic. Unless this place turns into a completely different restaurant weeknights, try another place in the neighborhood.

Fred D.

Yelp
Seafood is soooo good that I could care less about the service though it was good. 3.5 stars is not accurate should be a 5 without a doubt.

Elise D.

Yelp
Restaurant is really charming and perfect for the evening time with friends. Best way to do this place is ordering a bunch of tapas and sharing. I really enjoyed everything, especially the tuna tartar. Food is amazing and comes out quickly. Could be a five stars, but the attitudes of some of the waitstaff was not so pleasant...

Yelp
Bazaar had a ton of good write up in the past, but our experience has led us to believe they have peaked and are riding on the press while slacking in quality and service. I'm really upset for listening to the NYTIMES regarding their recommendation, this was worst place we ate at while in Madrid. Bazaar is bizarre. The staff all of whom appeared to be of some Asian background were beyond rude and looked at us in contempt when we asked them to repeat what they were saying (we could not hear, and they were not native Spanish speakers themselves--so it was difficult to make out at times what they were saying or trying to say us in Spanish). Our female waiter, a young woman, in particular, was the quintessence of rude. She had a permanent puss on her face that only seemed to change when expressing greater degrees of dissatisfaction. Smiling at patrons, perhaps, offered her the greatest pain. The menu is exceedingly confusing, two sheets of dishes just listed with brief explanations. There's no division of appetizer, entree or even menu of the day, no explanation of their concept about food and service. It's not traditional Spanish, it's not even what I would consider modern Mediterranean, at best it seems like a fusion yet there's a singular predominate pan-Asian influence with a peppering of Iberian influence--but again no where is that explained as to why and what is the connection to a Bazaar. We had Mediterranean salads that were good, certainly not on par with other counterparts--the flavour profile was bland and presented in colloquial non-artistic fashion. We both ate the three meat dish (Pork, beef and chicken) with Thai noodles. The presentation was no different than a diner and the meat came out came out over cooked with the noodles bloated and bland. The chocolate cake I ate was literally served in a large bowl of what can only be described as chocolate soup. I'm not exaggerating. It was rich, but way over done. The only saving grace was the price. Maybe it knows it's not worth all the hype. We paid only $65 for a three course meal and quart of wine, but then again I guess we got what we paid for. Do not believe the hype.

Yelp
While living in Spain last year, a group of friends and I went to this urban, yet posh, eatery in the Chueca area of Madrid to celebrate my friend's birthday. It was a fun night of wine, desserts and Mediterranean cuisine. For any individuals who want to visit Madrid or who are coming to Madrid in the near future, you have to check this amazing place out! There are a couple other restaurants under the same ownership that are scattered through the more popular areas of Madrid. La Gloria de Montera is another one I had the opportunity to experience and the food, service, and atmosphere was consistent with Bazaar. I recommend the goat cheese salad, beef tagliata, and the strawberry tiramisu with the cocoa ice cream. The prices are extremely reasonable for Madrid and the unique and fun environment seals the deal. I think I paid about 12 euro for dinner, including chipping in a few euro for our 7 euro BOTTLE of vino tinto! Take the trekka to Chueca and enjoy a delicious and trendy meal with Bazaar!

Zonia Z.

Yelp
My friend took me to this restaurant, located on the Chueca neighborhood is a place where you see both locals and tourists. I ordered Sopa de zetas con patatas (mushroom and potato soup) which was really good followed by ternera con bacon made in a red wine sauce. The soup was great, right on on flavor. The ternera was average, there was something missing in flavor, more spices or something was missing. The deset I had a sort of french toast and ice cream that was to die for!!! Was really good! The service was great, quick and professional I will return again just to give me and them another chance :)

Chandler R.

Yelp
This is tough. I had to give this two stars because of the service. They were just down right rude, pushy and not helpful at all. I absolutely loved their food. While it's not Spanish, it is very healthy- something that I feel is hard to come by here, especially when out to eat! The prices are very reasonable, from about 6 to 10 euros. They have an English & Spanish menu which includes salads, chicken, beef and pork. I got the Chicken Crepes with the Spinach sauce, it was amazing. The sauce apparently is only garlic, spinach & water, it's a lighter sauce and is really good! The portions are pretty small, as in most restaurants in Spain. One thing about their food (warning this is a super American comment but..) you can't change anything. For example, I wanted my Chicken Crepes with Spinach sauce with some pine nuts as well (a lot of things on the menu had pine nuts so I knew they had them) but you can only order what is exactly on the menu, absolutely no altercations. I've noticed many people complain about the service on here but I have also heard that this is a place where culinary students put into practice what they're learning! This is probably why the dishes come exactly as they are on the menu. The food came out super fast but they also expect you to leave super fast. If you want to stay and talk a little after dinner, don't pay the bill until you're ready to go or they'll be rude & basically kick you out!

Lindsey S.

Yelp
After many weird mediocre meals in Madrid, we had a nice dinner here at Bazaar. I must say Spanish food is not my favorite and I learned this very quickly after arriving. I'm not a picky eater at all. I'm one of those "hold, umm, everything please" people. I just like a lot of flavor. I ordered spinach crepe and it was very simple, but good. Nothing more and nothing less than a crepe filled with spinach. If this restaurant was in the US it would never survive, but in Madrid, it's a great choice. Seemed very young, hip, and trendy and the service was good.

Yelp
After eating tapas all over Spain, I was really shocked at Bazaar -- but in the best of ways. Used to paying 6-10 euros for a small plate, restaurant bills were adding up quick as you ate several small plates to make your meal. But then seeing Bazaar's menu -- we figured we should order a few different plates since prices were 10 euros or so for most entrees. That was a big mistake. Portions were large and one entree was plenty sufficient for each of us. We enjoyed their goat cheese salad and the lamb was amazing. We'd order that again in a heartbeat. We also had their thai chicken noodle dish, which was a nice blend of spanish and asian flavors. It wasn't a knock-your-socks off piece of chicken, but it was different and worth trying. The wines were super affordable and priced so you wouldn't feel guilty trying out something normally priced out of your reach. All-in-all, this was a great meal in the heart of Chueca. Be careful about arriving at peak dinner hour. The line here was lengthy when we were leaving after our meal and wait times being quoted were borderline insane. I'd go back if in town again.

Florian N.

Yelp
THis is a short one. The tapas are great! I had the shrimp, salad and white artichoke one. Amazing and almost a full dish of its own. Good bread as well. The mains: Abysmal. My veal canelloni in Pedro Jimenez sounded great but were horrible. smelled weird, too. My friends had the "Lasagne". Not only did it taste really bad, there were also no components in it that would make a lasagne. (Lasagne pasta in a lasagne? How dare we?). The waiter was asking if he should get the chef as we left about 5 uneaten plates, but we were being very English and just shrugged and left. Servive was a bit awkward.

Andreas F.

Yelp
Very stylish place, great decoration, reasonable prices and a clear winner when you wanna take out friends and impress them !! Food is usually good but varies depending on the dish - portions are relatively small so a starter is recommended ! Staff is often not very friendly but there are few exceptions - try to avoid the female staff....they are worse then the guys !! Try to get a place upstairs to see and be seen from the street !

Yelp
After walking down a couple of dodgy alleyways off Gran Via based on some hastily scribbled Google Maps instructions (and feeling rather overdue for a smartphone purchase), I finally found Bazaar, family in tow. Immediately, we felt the calm of the place wash over us - white walls and tablecloth, high ceilings. and tins and bottles of Mediterranean herbs, spices, and wines neatly racked along the walls (hence the "bazaar"). Our first sweeping look around the restaurant definitely gave us the impression that Bazaar was an oasis in the midst of buzzing Madrid. Bazaar has excellent service and caters very well to an international crowd, carrying menus in many different languages. After struggling to explain item by item to the family from my Spanish menu, I was more than happy when the waitress offered us English menus instead. There were actually quite a few tantalizing choices on the menu - overall the spread favored wine sauces, hearty meats, couscous, Thai flavors, nuts, goat cheese, and fresh fish. Ultimately, we ordered the chicken skewers with couscous, shrimp tempura, and Thai chicken with sothangon noodles. We loved the chicken skewers and shrimp dishes - the meat texture and taste was just right. The Thai chicken was really just an okay dish that I would rather have substituted for something heartier like one of the veal or lamb dishes. Plus it really starts to feel like work to finish up those bland sothangon noodles for my spice-obsessed Indian family unless they are just drenched in sauces. Finally, based on many Trip Advisor recommendations, we wrapped the meal up with their chocolate souffle. Good, not mind-blowing, but worth the indulgence. If you're looking for a break from tapas and sangria in the heart of Madrid - this is definitely the place to go!

Rodrigo A.

Yelp
Bad food. Horrible service. We did a group event and everyone complained about the service. Everyone. The wine was poorly served. Plates were thrown at tables. Waiters screamed at guests. Just bad.

Anna B.

Yelp
Everyone I know in Madrid has had good things to say about Bazaar so I was a tad nervous that it wouldn't live up to the hype, but yay it did! Super cool place. Decoration is white-walled, marketplace, chic. Made me feel like if I ever own/design a restaurant, I'd remember such a place (and most likely steal some ideas). I assume Bazaar would be a good option for a variety of occasions, but I would most highly recommend it for a girls' night out. Think about it: affordable, beautiful, good wine, reasonable portions, lively ambiance - what's not to love, ladies? It seemed like the kind of place you'd like to be "seen" in... the crowd was uber-cool (read: hipsters, older folks with those cool over-sized reading glasses that are so hip these days, attractive guys/gals, "pijos", if you will, etc). Basically a 20-something's dream. We ended up having to sit at a table (very) close to the entryway, but even that wasn't bad - people-watching was the name of the game. Alrighty, let's get down to business. The food, claro. I'm not going to lie, the "tres carnes con fideos Thai" was mediocre at best. A little bland, honestly. Bread was delicious though, especially when dipped in Spanish olive oil. Although my choice might not have been the best way to go, my dinner companions were all def satisfied with their orders (veal something or another, grilled veggies, etc). The vino was tasty. Bathrooms were downstairs and had plenty of mirrors but were quite small. Anywho - I loved this little place and foresee lots of future conversating and wine-drinking with the chicas taking place here (along with it's other sister restaurants).

Kate K.

Yelp
Good selection of tapas and entrees. We ordered the sardines from Special menu and they came with smoke inside so great presentation. However these sardines were slightly over-smoked for my taste. Also ordered shrimp skewers served with artichokes - meh. Good vibe.

Nina J.

Yelp
My first experience was great but then when I started to go there for lunch menu I change my opinion. It look great but the food is very regular during lunch menu. Servis is not so friendly but true is we always go back:) in evening is hard to get table because their are not taking reservations so you have to come sooner

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I would have given this restaurant a four star if it hadn t been for the AWFUL service! My friends mom came in town and there were 6 of us. We spent quite a bit of money getting appetizers, several bottles of wine, desserts....but we actually got KICKED OUT! The staff were just plain rude, unhelpful, almost judgemental of us being American. They had no knowledge (English or Spanish) of the menu and what actually was in the dishes. The staff was clearly trying to rush us out and it finally got to the point that they told us we had to leave and that there was a list! Funny because there was maybe one party of 3 waiting in the entire restaurant which also has an unused entire basement level! I loved this place the first time but after this I will not be returning here!

Austin L.

Yelp
When we arrived, the line of people waiting to get in was down the street. The doors opened and we were seated right away. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was intimate, and the price was very very reasonable.

Ron P.

Yelp
Like most restaurants in Spain, the crowd arrives late (after 9 PM) and then it's bustling! The food and ambiance were hip and good; the service was OK, not great (reason for 4-not-5 stars). At first they seated us downstairs and we were the only ones there (they forgot about us), so we moved upstairs where it was happening and service was much better. They don't take reservations and the wait can be long--by the time we left, the place was packed. It was refreshing to find great salads in Madrid and this place had great salads and pastas--all around, wonderful food. We would most definitely go back and we already plan on it when we are back in Madrid next week.

Megan K.

Yelp
Of all the amazing meals we had in Madrid, this was the worst. Where to start, the host was weird about the English menu (which they did have). He wasn't rude but sure made you feel bad about it. We seemed to have two servers, one was horribly rude and seemed put out by our ordering. The other was nice enough. They do charge you for the bread as someone else said (more on that later). We asked for water we never got. But to top it all off, the food was horrible. My wife ordered a shrimp pasts dish and the shrimp were REALLY tough. She said they tasted microwaved, with that we looked back in the kitchen and saw two big microwaves. The food came WAY too fast, so they nuked it. Then, the clincher, we got charged for the water we never got and the bread I declined. I wanted out so bad that I just paid it. What a waste!!

Amy W.

Yelp
So disappointing. Decor is very appealing, but wait staff were zombie-like, food was not good. Lasagne bore no resemblance to what we know, which is fine if you it tastes good, but not so. Tempura was okay but the dipping sauce was just ketchup. Gnocchi tasted lime it had Ragu sauce on it, not a puttanesca. Only the salad was good. Go across the corner to Carmencita for an authentic Madrid meal and terrific service.

Irene S.

Yelp
nice place, very good prices!, service ok but not too friendly, food ok but not very convincing

Joe C.

Yelp
Beautiful whitewashed space with large window letting light in the eclecticlly decorated two tier space. Very large portions for a spanish restaurant, and, considering that, very reasonable prices. I had a nice bottle of Rueda for Euro 13, a bargain compared to the NY prices I'm used to. I can only based the review on the three dishes I had, tuna with a mango sauce, baby octopus stew and a mushroom croquette with frise salad. All were flavor, successful dishes. The service was fine, and I for one wasnt offended that they looked Asian!

Helen S.

Yelp
I was walking and looking for a place for lunch when I found Bazaar. Great place with very good food. I got the menu of the day which had excellent choices.

Alex S.

Yelp
The one star is based on today's meal. The place looks really nice and cozy. We ordered Tagliata de Entrecot con Miljojas de Batatas and spaghetti Con Salsa de Gambas. The first impression: Food came five minutes after ordered which gives you the impression that food was just Microwaved. There is no way that you can cook a piece of beef that quick, which by the way wasn't that great, it has a lot of cartilage and rubbery, the type of meat you cook too long, cut and left out sitting for too long then of course you microwave. The only good side of this dish was the Potato. The second Dish same thing, it came less than 5 minutes after we ordered. Shrimps were so tiny you will need a magnifying glass to see it - Just Bland- . Service: waiter look like a zombie, no smile, no greetings, just Do you want bread? And walked away. Maybe she was just tired or annoyed who knows. We came to this place after reading good reviews about it but I guess sometimes good reviews doesn't mean Great. I wouldn't recommended this place to anyone unless you are ok with Microwavable Meals.

Ed C.

Yelp
We at this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. Two of us thought our food was bland; only one of the four thought that their meal, a pasta dish, was worth the price. The service, while efficient, was brusque. Mine was so unmemorable that I'm having a hard time remembering what it was.

Bari S.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place when looking for places to eat when traveling to Madrid that was not tapas. This place was fantastic! The atmosphere was trendy yet casual and the service was great. The portions were a generous size and the prices were extremely affordable. We each got a salad (seaweed with Tuna and zucchini with salmon) and they were huge! We then split three main courses thinking they were small tapas style portions when really we could have gotten just one each! The fish tempura was great. Several tables also ordered it. The cod with pesto was my friends favorite dish and the tuna with mango chutney was my favorite. Overall we had a very positive experience and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something different than your typical tapas.

Pablo O.

Yelp
When a restaurant takes reservations and people are happy to wait for hours to eat, this place must be doing something right. Menu options and prices were great. Taste was on point. Really enjoyed this place and will not mind the wait.

Qype User (Lucka…)

Yelp
clean & quick. Great design

Anna C.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, very reasonably priced food and wine. Popular and very busy by 9.30pm. The food was a bit hit and miss - lovely starters but the mains were a bit mediocre.

Christopher W.

Yelp
The restaurant was a nice break from traditional Spanish food. The food was fantastic and fresh. The atmosphere was very lively with locals for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon. They have a English menu on request and the staff speaks English. Our favorite was the Chicken crepe and the ultimate chocolate dessert.

shannon s.

Yelp
i have had 2 of my top ten life meals in spain and now i have had one of the top 5 worst dinners... there is no way to describe what awaits you here except that the restaurant looks beautiful but the service and food was beyond redemption and not worth the time to review. angry waiter, horrible appetizers and entrees that were surprisingly worse. so many amazing restaurants in chueca and we spent one of our last dinners here. que lastima. i only posted 1 star because i was forced to

Christine L.

Yelp
The decor gets 4 stars. Very tasteful and elegant. Our drink runner also gets 4 stars. She was relaxed, patient and friendly. The rest of our experience gets 0 stars. You are greeted at the door by a host whose first words are not a pleasant"Good evening" but a shouted order to "Go downstairs". Our main waiter seemed put out by our presence from the very moment he sat us. Even my French husband, who puts up with the worst of snobby Parisian waiters, was hugely offended by the abrupt, no nonsense, and unsmiling service we received. Then there was the food; someone said it right in another review"worse than airplane food". It was just that bad. I had a greek salad with mock feta, store bought stale pita, a huge mountain of sauceless rucula salad, what I made out to be canned baba ganoush (even though the menu said it was served with hummus) and a handful of the blandest black olives I have ever had in Spain. You honestly couldn't do much worse. My husband's tuna tartare lacked acidity and flavour. The main dishes (some sort of lasagna made out of meat and a tagliatelle also made out of meat), and desserts were no better. As I am pregnant I opted for a virgin cocktail only to have the drink runner come back three times to say they didn't have my selection. Out of the 6 virgin drinks on the menu, only one was available, the San Franscisco, which granted was very delicious. Yes the prices are reasonable, but not for what you get. I shoulda checked out Yelp before going. learned my lesson.
