Grenada Travel Guide

"A cozy, colorful local seafood spot in the capital known for its signature crabback—spiced crab meat combined with vegetables—and for harbor views that make sunset dining particularly memorable; the atmosphere leans authentic and unpretentious." - Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila is a bilingual travel writer, editor, and content marketer. 9 Must-Try Dishes in Grenada - AFAR

"A breezy, harbor‑front spot run by local fixture Brian Benjamin, known for a house favorite slow‑cooked goat curry finished with paper‑thin coconut shavings and for the crabback — large chunks of land crab cooked with herbs, cream, and cheese. Many menu items use ingredients grown in the owner’s family garden, from fresh herbs to passionfruit and pineapples, and tables overlook Saint George’s Harbour." - Terry Ward

Great drinks, nice people, and awesome location. Sit on the patio to watch the world go by or see how the inside dining room is laid out. Rum punch for the win! Great urban setting “rum shack.”

The food is the only reason to go here! It was awesome! But literally, I had to move garbage away from front patio-the smell was very bad. Service was at least an hour until food showed up…total time 2 hours…that said, I would go again-goat was really good!

The food here is fantastic! I would rate their crab back appetizer 10/10 it is actually the best I had in the world. An I have been around the world. The meals are well flavored and there is a lovely twist on everything the coo coo is to die for as well.

Great food in a wonderful city in a wonderful country! Fun music playing, great atmosphere from the funky painted walls to the bottles holding different colours on all the tables. The food is great! Super tasty jerk chicken with nice kick. Bonus for the view across the harbour. If you’re in St. Georges, you have to come here!

Mediocre at max. I expected a lot, took two dishes and both disappointed. Don’t expect much…. I know it’s a famous place but sorry now it’s overdue and overpriced. You can get much better in some more local place

BB’s Crabback was my favorite piece of Grenada. I'm extremely thankful to our driver for this recommendation. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to try Grenadian oil down for the first time. The callaloo soup & fried bake were incredible, we ordered a few more rounds to go. All of their items were fresh & delicious. As impressive as this place was, we had to return for our final dinner on the island. The man in charge understands quality of service & great flavor. If I ever visit Grenada again, it’ll be for BB’s Crabback.

Nice cozy place. Could do with a little ambiance music but nevertheless service was fast, beer cold and the signature dish of curried goat with rice was awesome. Also ordered some fried fruitbread which came with 2 really good sauces to dip. Portion was good and overall a great experience.

Had a great meal at BBs - highly recommend the crab appetizer! We also got the goat curry and the ribs, both of which were great. After eating at various locations on the beach, it was great to eat Grenadian food. We didn’t get there in time to try the oil down - they had sold out so we have to go back again. Staff was nice and it was a great location on the water.
